Ellen & Dal we’re the perfect hosts. Dal altered the route to take advantage of better weather and Ellen prepared spectacular breakfasts and lunches. Their recommendations for things to do and restaurants at each stop were spot on. Plenty of time to swim at more remote spots. Thank you both for a great trip.

Had the most amazing week on the cyclades explorer. The captain dal and host Ellen were so fabulous, made you feel so at home and would literally do anything for you. The food Ellen cooked us for breakfast and lunch was just divine, better than some restaurants we visited. They were super friendly and funny and professional and work so so hard, almost 24/7 and they made our week so fabulous! We visited some amazing islands and they had loads of recommendations of things to do and see. Could not recommend this trip enough.

This was our first time on yacht getaways though we have done a small sailing cruise in the past. Our week in the Cyclades on board the catamaran was a trip of a lifetime and we could not have been happier. Dal and Ellen, the captain and host, were absolutely amazing going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we could possibly need. They took great care of us and made our holiday one we will never forget. I highly recommend this tour and hope to sail with yacht getaways again next year.

Amazing crew who made the trip what we hoped it would be. Extra stop offs, early set off for sunrise and fabulous food, along with tips for each place we visited. 5 stars for them both.
The catamaran was a let down. Photos you see when you book do not match the bedrooms at all, very different in reality and we had faulty items throughout the very tired boat including a faulty main sail. The response from Yacht Getaways of "we should have found another solution due to multiple problems on board so I do apologise that your holiday was negatively impacted.
We have been working with some new charter companies which have caused delays in certain areas, as well as sourcing new parts being an issue where once they were more readily available. This should not, however, be something which affects our guest's experience."
No recompense just 10% off another booking. No thanks.
A luxury catamaran it wasn't, service from the crew and locations definitely was what saved it.

We had a great week sailing from Dubrovnik to Trogir. Alice the host provided us with a great breakfast and lunch each day. Always something different and she was very cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The skipper was Tomo who again found some great places for lunch swim stops and helped with restaurant recommendations in the evenings. He let us help with the sailing and answered and questions we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better skipper.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday and I would recommend it to anybody.

Excellent tour- Ana, our skipper was fantastic and very adept at keeping us out of the weather and finding great sheltered towns to visit. (Weather forecast was rain all week!) Alice, our chef, was delightful and truly an excellent cook. She accommodated our different diet restrictions expertly. Thanks to both of them for a great time!

We took a Lagoon 450F catamaran from Dubrovnik to Split (Trogir) and had a wonderful time with our friends and the crew. We very much enjoyed our Captain, Matt, who was quite affable and worked to ensure that we had a good time while always keeping safety first. Although this was a “box trip” (specific start point, end point, and duration) there was some flexibility in between and Matt would consult us on our interests and the plan for the day. This was our second sailing adventure; the first trip was without a hostess. Alice was our hostess on this trip and added to it greatly. The consensus was that any future trips should have a hostess like Alice.
The water in Croatia was incredibly clear, calm, beautiful, and just the right temp to leave the neoprene packed. I have seen more sea life in other locations, but never better water. I also recommend Dubrovnik (the old city) as a great place to spend a few days before sailing. It is picturesque, interesting, easy to walk around in, and a good place to relax while getting over jet-lag.

We had a delightful week aboard Dorka V, sailing from Trogir (Split) to Dubrovnik. The whole experience was enhanced by the outstanding duo of Davide as skipper and Katy as host. The hospitality of the crew was excellent and the food fabulous. Not to mention the beautiful places and unspoilt coastline we visited. It was our first experience of a sailing holiday, but we will definitely be back for more. Thank you.

An amazing adventure! Sophie and Claire were wonderful and made it the best trip to Turkey! I highly recommend traveling with Yacht Getaways.

What a brilliant holiday we had. Wonderful Skipper and host in Davide and Katy, amazing breakfasts and lunches every day wonderful bays to swim and paddle board in. Yacht getaways we will be back next year.

An exceptional experience. Davide and Katy (Skipper and host) were outstanding. This experience had it all; snorkelling, swimming and paddle-boarding in crystal blue waters, e-biking throughout the Mijet National park, delicious food (onboard and off), loads of great cities and quaint villages. Tremendous sailing holiday.

My first sailing vacation and it was amazing. Sophie and Claire our skipper and host did an excellent job. From the begging our Yatch getaway trip was great. The food prepared by Claire was delicious, we had very healthy breakfast, fruits to eat all the time, and lunch also prepared with fresh ingredients. All the stops in Turkey were beautiful. We have enough time ti relax, go into the water, have some dolphins in our way, the only bad thing is that the vacation was over. I had a really great time and now checking were is going to be the next Yatch getaway trip. Thank you Sophie and Claire you are amazing.

Our yacht was skippered by Matt Wallace and Alice was our host. They both conducted their jobs with warmth and professionalism. We were spoiled daily by Alice’s delicious and photo perfect food. She also provided great instruction as we anchored or moored and we all enjoyed being able to assist. Matt selected a wonderful route that maximized our pleasure and our safety. His humor made sailing with him great fun and our group appreciated our sailing lesson with him. Matt is a natural leader! I think Yacht Getaways needs to improve instruction for meeting the boat as that was the only point of confusion and made more complicated by the heat and luggage. Some signage at the marina would be greatly appreciated. Overall a fantastic trip and we look forward to more sailing adventures in the future.

We greatly enoyed our Dubovnik explorer trip. Skipper Matt and host Alice did an exceptional job, so much so that we'd like to book more trips in the future!

We had a wonderful time sailing Croatia with Matt, our Captain and Alice, our Host. They were fabulous. Matt is a very skilled captain, and Alice was an amazing Host who spoiled us with her lovely meals. I would highly recommend.

We had a week with Tim and Sophie sailing round islands in Southern Greece. They were absolutely fantastic as skipper and host and by the end we all felt like one big family. We laughed and had fun from the moment we woke up until we fell asleep. The food and drink was amazing (thanks Sophie) and Tim did a great job getting us to hidden bays and to great moorings. It is our second time with Yacht Getways and we would be recommend them to anyone.

Had an amazing trip in Montenegro! It was an incredible experience, and Rich and Liv were so professional and kind, it really made the trip extra special. The country is beautiful and the ports were all so different..we even saw dolphins. Great job all around, would definitely go again!

I had a fantastic week sailing around the Cyclades with Fred & Ellen from Yacht Getaways. Really talented host and skipper who made our week so special, despite the adverse weather conditions! Can’t recommend it more. Just do it!

We have just returned from our second Yacht Getaways (YG) trip. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we had to rearrange this trip from 2020. The process was handled efficiently and professionally via email and after a long wait, we had a fantastic week sailing the Croatian Northern Explorer on board 'Simply the Best' with Skipper Trev and Host Paul. On arrival to the boat, Paul supplied lovely welcome drinks and nibbles and Trev walked us through his proposed route for the week (weather dependent). The cabin and ensuite bathroom were a good size and spotlessly clean and the air con was very efficient. Each day we visited a secluded bay for a swim/paddle board and lunch, and late afternoon/early evening we stopped at marinas with plenty to explore and excellent shower/toilet facilities.

The skipper and host were second to none. We felt extremely safe in their hands, they were highly professional and no request was to much. Paul was very passionate about cooking and the food he produced always looked and tasted amazing. He made sure we were fully fueled and happily fed ready for the day ahead. Trev and Paul gave us restaurant recommendations, organised an amazing wine tasting experience on our request and booked taxis to ensure that we had a seemless and stress free holiday. The Host and Skipper undoubtedly make a huge difference to your trip and we were very lucky that we had Trev and Paul to ensure we had the best holiday. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and were definitely huge assets to Yacht Getaways. They worked long hours (far exceeding what was expected) and any future guests would be lucky to have them as their Skipper and Host.

There are some things that could be improved by YG (this was not down to Trev and Paul), we were originally sent to the wrong location to board the boat as the instructions received from YG via email were not clear and the link stated the wrong Marina. This resulted in us lugging our bags and suitcases a fair distance in the heat which wasn't great. Clearer instruction on which Marina the boat departed from would have been great!

All in all, we had a fantastic holiday with an amazing crew.

We have just returned from the most amazing holiday sailing the Northern Explorer route on a Lagoon 450 Catamaran with Trev (Skipper) and Paul (Chef/Host). They were without doubt the “Dream Team”! Trev was an experienced, skilful and professional skipper who planned each day to ensure we saw as much of the Croatian islands and coves as possible. We stopped each day in a small bay or sheltered cove to enjoy lunch and swim in the beautiful clear waters. Evenings were spent in marinas with great facilities and villages or towns steeped in history with lots of options for eating and drinking. Trev’s handling of the boat was exceptional somehow manoeuvring it with ease into busy marinas and we always felt safe and secure in his hands.
Paul was the most talented chef who created and served the most delicious meals from the smallest kitchen. Every meal (breakfast and lunch) was a culinary delight, full of flavour and presented beautifully. His passion for food was always evident and we couldn’t have asked for more. We managed to get a few tips and will definitely be trying to replicate some of the dishes back in our real world!
We absolutely loved our holiday and can’t thank Trev and Paul enough for making it such an unforgettable experience!
