This review is based on the Yardmaster Garage 10ft x 17ft. The ordering and delivery side was very good, easy to order and only took 5 working days to delivery. Came in 3 boxes which was a little worrying to start, but everything was in the 3 boxes.
Putting together was probably the most frustrating thing we have ever had the pleasure in doing, hours and hours and hours with three people most of the time, you definitely could not do this by yourself or even just two of you for some sections. As other customers have said the directions are a nightmare, and a lot of the time you are just winging it and looking at the diagrams. When having to make more than one of most parts of the garage what they don't tell you is that you have to mirror parts, or some are right and some are left and this only come apparent when piecing everything together at the end like a very large 4D puzzle!!
Flimsy it is, which makes it very hard to stand and put together as it doesn't hold it's own!
Once altogether and straightened up and screwed to the ground it's more stable, but I wouldn't lean anything up against it!
The height is a major issue, my husband has taken the skin off his head twice now as the door and inside beams holding up the roof are only around 5'9" high not good when you are over 6' and the metal is very sharp.
As for it being water proof, definitely not. Water is coming in through the roof the sides and underneath it.
Would we recommend buying, no sorry, not unless you are training for the Krypton Factor!!

ABSOLUTE SHIT!!!! Wrong size panels, useless instructions. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Shed 10 x 17 purchased it’s took about 10 hours upto now 2 of us and still got nothing standing.
You have to lay it all on the ground to make up this shed, instead of making a frame up and bolting the frame to the ground, adding ridges to make it all square and secure, you should then be able to stand up panels and screw them on frame. Not this shed. No No.
The pre holes are to big for 9 mm length screws , some just spin around on a low torque screw driver setting, some holes to big for heads on joints. Manual is not very good at all no end plans of top panel to roof.
Waited over 5 weeks for delivery.
To be honest it’s very very light weight on the internal side and bottom, top rails not like the photo shows. It would be better with self tapping screws with small hole or hex head screws with rubber seals.
I’m going to have to rivet in places and re screw all around panels as the small screws in Irish wind will pull out with vibration.
Heavier gauge c section needed it will put the price up but would be stronger. C section is less than 1.0 mm thick very flimsy shed.

Delivery was excellent. We put the 10x6 shed up in side the 12 hours that was mentioned but there was 3 of us not 2. Construction was straight forward once we identified all the parts, nothing was too strenuous or heavy. Plenty of screws nuts bolts and washers. We had to drill 2 holes where we couldn't line them up but this was easy. Expected some roof leaks but there was only a couple easily sealed with silicon sealant. Shed looks marvellous, well pleased and glad I purchased it.

Disaster from start to finish. Shed arrived a totally different colour (taupe) from what was advertised. That threw the planning permission out the window as it no longer fitted the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings. Communications to the company were short and sweet, they didn't like what I had to say so they just ignored me. I see praise for individuals for customer service, only when it suits them. It took two (occasionally three) tradesmen three days to erect the shed which they claim two men can do in eight hours, not sure what planet that is happening on but it's not this one. The tiny fixings are a joke and structurally this is probably the most unstable I have ever seen. On a positive note I no longer have a planning permission problem as two weeks after completion the first strong wind that came along tore off the weak point at the door elevation, and the rest followed in less than a couple of hours despite attempts to shore it up (it just buckled) and it now lies in a corner of the garden waiting on the insurance assessor coming to see the damage...the good/bad news for him is there is nothing to see but a pile of metal sheeting which is gonna cost a fortune to get rid of. I don't normally write reviews unless I have something good to say but this needed saying and people need warned.

Amended to add after ready the 'reply'...you take customer complaint seriously? You spent all that time replying and it is a complete fabrication. YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY IMAGES OF THE SHED. At no point have I sent you any images so your reply is made up nonsense...shame on you. I employed two time served joiners to build the shed, they have a lot more knowledge than your average DIY'er. They told me how badly the holes lined up and how small the fixings were. I don't know why I'm bothering replying again because I can't believe you would fabricate such nonsense about photos that YOU DO NOT HAVE. The only photo I sent you was a close up of one of the "taupe" panels (your words from your email)...and one of your adverts to show how different they were...you are not selling the colour in said images, that's false advertising, no surprise give the other stuff you make up as you go along.

We recently purchased a Yardmaster shed at a significantly higher price than comparable sheds from other vendors. we expected superior materials, construction, finish, and overall durability.

We chose this shed largely because of its reputation for good quality and the positive customer reviews. However, after assembling and installing it in our backyard, we were disappointed to find that the actual quality did not meet those expectations. The materials and finish appeared poor, and the product did not reflect the standard we reasonably expected from a higher-priced shed.

The price difference is difficult to justify when the quality is comparable to, or worse than, less expensive alternatives on the market. Paying more should provide a clear improvement in quality and performance, but our experience did not demonstrate that value.

We ask that this feedback be taken seriously. Customers who pay a premium price should receive a product whose quality, durability, and finish clearly justify the additional cost.

My second Yardmaster shed, only replaced after 20 years, very happy with this one too.
Strong shed and no need for me to ever paint it, highly recommend.

Yardmaster make a very good shed at the price mark. They require no on going maintenance, they are aesthetically pleasing, weather and rodent proof. Easy and fast to assemble.
The oldest yardmaster shed i own is almost forty years old and still serviceable. A very helpful company who go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Buy with confidence.

Assembly manual to vague, an easier item numbering system used. The use of the pallet being supported by parts used from other types of shed misleading. labels missing of bags and parts. Door head clearance dangerous needs another six inches. Two person assembly for 13ft x 10 ft, to put roof on it needed four person lift. Base rails design encourages wet floor seal to base.

Good Value for money and robust construction , last shed lasted 47 years. Friarly easy to assemble instructions could be more detailed and some items especially packages of screws etc not identified.

Very good and easy to deal with,lady on telephone was very knowledgeable.

Feedback on the Quality and Price of the Yardmaster Shed

We recently purchased a Yardmaster shed, and we expected a much higher standard of quality given its price. Compared with similar sheds offered by other vendors, the Yardmaster shed was significantly more expensive.

One of the main reasons we chose this shed was its reputation for good quality and the positive customer reviews we had read. Unfortunately, when we assembled and installed it in our backyard, the actual quality was disappointing and did not meet our expectations.

Considering the higher price we paid, we expected better materials, a better finish, and an overall higher standard of quality. However, our experience has not justified the additional cost compared with other sheds available on the market.

We hope this feedback will be taken seriously, as customers paying a premium price should receive a product that reflects that price in terms of quality and durability.

It would have been 4 or 5 stars but the delivery company they use are very bad stating that my shed was out for delivery 4 days in a row but on 4th day they only delivered the shed base I ordered to go with the shed .
The shed was delivered on the 5th day in a very badly damaged box and after phoning yardmaster for a list of parts and instructions which they emailed to me straight away I was able to check what was missing i found out the very large bag of nuts,bolts and all the small parts were missing. As it was late on Friday evening by the time I had done this I had to wait until Monday morning to speak to yardmasters again and they sent all the missing parts which arrived the next day.
So I would give yardmasters 5 stars but DX logistics 0 stars even having phoned their help several times and then trying their direct line to their local depot which keeps you on hold for 20 minutes then cuts you of and i tried this several times. When you read DX logistics reviews nobody has given them a good review.
I think yardmasters should find a different courier for their goods.
P.s when the driver delivered my shed the only undamaged parcel on the van was a couple of bundles of tyres which would have been difficult to damage anyway.

Bought two slight issues with the instructions but the sheds are great really happy and delovery was very quick.

Simple online process, great price and value for money. Good service/communications re expected delivery and easy to track delivery.

Good shed ,have bought a couple of these sheds before,took a bit of time to assemble,

I bought this shed through Buy Sheds Direct at the beginning of August, only learning later that it was coming from Northern Ireland. Delivery was 3 weeks after my payment and, upon opening the components, it was discovered by my workmen that the parts did not fit together and the shed was smaller than advertised and ordered. Owing to the long delay in responses from Buy Sheds Direct Yardmaster refused to acknowledge their error and to collect the unusable components.

YardMaster Castleton 6x7 from Argos, despite reviews of some others, we actually found it an easy process to construct with 2 of us and an electric screwdriver with magnetic bits. I spent the previous weekend familiarising myself with the fixings, the build process and instructions and everything went very well ... ALTHOUGH it took us two days from "box to closing the doors" ... I was sceptical though prebuild, but I'm very impressed with it's sturdiness and quality once built. If you are a capable DIY-er with a can do attitude, you'll have no problem at all.
