Over and over and over I have upgraded…

Over and over and over I have upgraded xplore internet only for it to go back to same old speed in a month or two. All of a sudden, over night it will drop off to .5 to ONE mbps download and .5 upload. You call them and they want 173.00 with tax to send a Tec out each time or blame it on trees that apparently grew up OVER NIGHT. OVER AND OVER AGAIN.I canceled and got starlink....$7.00 a month cheaper plan with statlink Lite. Set it up myself in a little over one hour. Around 35mbps download and 12mbps upload. That is as fast as my computer will handle. If I test it at the satellite DISH I get over 300mbps download and around 40 upload. In an area that has no cable hookup(rural) that is stunning to me. Xplore has never been even CLOST to this. My connection is 30 times faster and would be MUCH higher if I had a newer laptop with more ram. DROP xplore like a hot potato.....there is NO comparison to starlink. Also starlink has a feature that detects snow and warms the dish to melt it.....just stunning the difference in the two providers. NO MORE 173.00 house calls that do NOTHING.

Scam for returning equipment.

I signed up with Xplore because they were the only internet provider available in my area at the time. Once faster options became available, I switched providers. Xplore asked me to return their equipment, which I had no issue with, they even sent a box for it.

What they didn’t tell me was that I would be responsible for climbing onto my roof in the middle of winter to uninstall the equipment myself. When I explained that it wasn’t safe due to the winter conditions in Alberta, they offered to send a technician but for a $150 fee.

So now I’m stuck choosing between paying the technician fee or the “unreturned equipment” fee, which are both roughly the same cost. On top of that, I was only given 30 days to return the equipment.

Shittiest company ever

Shittiest company ever, terrible customer service. I got double charged, then they refused to refund me the one charge, and shortly after they cut off my wifi.

Be aware before you signing up

Be aware when signing up that you only have a year of them doing anything for you. For example, if the dish comes out of your wall because the bolts were too loose, Xplore's policy after a year is to claim that it was an act of God without even having a tech come look at the issue and then charge YOU $150 or more to come fix the issue... How, after 2 years, does a dish falling off because the bolts came undone seem like an act of God? That seems like poor installation, not gravity, to me.

I was notified that my satellite…would cease operation on November 25.

I was notified that my satellite service would end November 25, 2025 as it will no longer be in service. An appointment was scheduled for Wednesday September 17th for a technician to come out and check to make sure the new service would work at our location, we were provided a window of between 8am and noon. At around 11am I called the support center and was informed the work order was cancelled because the new system would not work in our area. No phone call, no text message and no email. So now we will no longer have internet unless we can find another provider. Incredibly crappy service and totally unacceptable way to operate a business. Never ever consider this company.

C'est malheureux de ne pas être connecté sur sa clientèle!

Bonjour, je suis quelqu'un qui ne fait jamais de commentaire... mais là, je dois m'exprimer! Pour ma part, je dois malheureusement dire que le service avec Xplore n'est pas à la hauteur! Je vous explique. J'utilise Xplore pour 4 chalets locatifs court terme. Un bris d'équipement (c'est une chose normale qui arrive) à causé un manque de service Internet pendant plusieurs jour. Après 2 jours sans services, ma conjointe téléphone au service à la clientèle. Après plusieurs essais pour réinitialiser le modem, rien à faire, il est brisé. Le hic dans cette histoire, c'est que en tant que commerçant de location de chalet, je me dois de fournir Internet à ma clientèle. Le système est brisé que pour deux chalets sur quatre... bon OK, je comprends car il s'agit d'un bris de l'équipement. Par contre, le technicien prendra plusieurs jours avant de venir car trop occupé où pas suffisamment d'employé à sous contrat! Moi je fais quoi avec ma clientèle pendant ce temps .Bref pas le choix... j'attend le technicien qui vient heureusement plus rapidement que la date initiale, une chance et je suis content mais le délais est toujours trop long pour ma clientèle. Le nécessaire est fait et la pièce est changée. Une belle job du technicien, merci! Pendant les nombreuses journées sans service, j'ai dû rembourser une clientèle qui aurait fait du télé-travail (remboursement de plus de 500$) et mon antre client du chalet 2 me demande un dédommagement
(remboursement de plus de 150$). Voici d'ailleurs mon message par courriel:

Bonjour à vous,

Je détiens 2 numéros de compte chez vous qui sont: ...et .... Mercredi le 30 juillet il y a eu un bris dans l'équipement et Internet n'était plus accessible pour 2 de mes chalets locatifs. En cette période très achalandée, j'avais bien sur 2 clients qui résidaient dans mes chalets qui furent affecté par la panne. J'ai dû en tant que commerçant, dédommager mes clients à la hauteur de 661.78$. Celui du chalet Pic-Bois pour 511.78$ et celui du Geai Bleu pour 150.00$. Les gens acceptent un petit délais de panne mais pas pendant 4 jour de leur séjour sans Internet par contre.

En parlant avec votre représentant ce matin, il m'a informé que seulement 6 jours seraient crédités puisque nous n'avons téléphoné que le vendredi 1er août et non pas le mercredi 30 juillet. Je trouve particulier de ne pas aussi reconnaître la perte que j'ai dû subir pour calmer mes clients. Je trouve inapproprié de ne pouvoir réparer votre équipement dans un délais plus rapide. J'étais sensé me faire réparer que le 16 ou 11 août mais finalement j'imagine qu'une place s'est libérée et j'ai reçu la visite du technicien le 6 août.

J'aimerais qu'une juste part sois crédité sur mes comptes en guise de compensation. En espérant une réponse positive et conciliante!

Le plus délirant dans cette histoire... jamais de retour du service à la clientèle et en plus pas de crédit sur ma facture de ce mois ci. Je trouve aberrant de ne pas respecter votre clientèle comme il se doit.

Great Company

The internet service is great, but the real winner is the fast and friendly tech department. Any issues we have are answered very fast (and they're local!) 5G speed.

Big promises, all of them delivered!

I had many reservations at first but the sales person (Rajanpreet) and the installer (Jaskaran) set my mind at ease every step of the way! Everything I was promised at the sales visit was delivered on and I am very happy with my blazing fast internet service! Sales visit to my door on Wednesday and Installation on Friday! Can’t beat that! I also love that no personal banking information was required at the sales call. I entered all personal details myself on the website after install to activate my account.

Router died

Router died. They were quick to replace and get us back on track. Tech was so knowledgeable about stretching our wifi to far side of our property.

Really bad

Really, one of the worst companies ever, both on the technical and on the service side. They agree they have issues with the home phone, which at best is unreliable. Missed many crucial appointments. After at least a dozen requests, the case was escalated up to nothing. They offered a credit for $25 after being catapulted from on department to another. Bad, bad, and worst.
