Invoiced £49 plus £235 to turn the oven on and discover RCD did not trip but an element was not working. A job worth £60 at the most.

I’m never using this company ever again. They really don’t make it clear that if you cancel then you still need to pay the call out fee of £49 even though the engineer was far from my area and well beyond the time frame to come within 2 hours. A unforeseen emergency meant that I had to leave the house and didn’t know at all when this engineer would come. There was no booking confirmation by text or email. What a complete scam and a waste of time!!!

If I could do 0 stars I would, don’t ever use this service as they said it’s a £49 call out but then after the plumber arrived and did the job I was told it’s extra because it’s 8pm and was also charged 200£ for them to turn the water off at the mains. Which was a 2 minute job. They plumber also doesn’t get no where near half that money they just take it all for them selves, selfish people who like to scam everyone. And before you guys respond to me saying I can get a discount on my next call out. I’ll pass I’ll never do a call out with you

Scam artists - 100% avoid. We called them last night and we didn’t need the guy to come out as he was able to advise on the phone. They then booked a different engineer to come today without sending a confirmation as I wanted the plumber to call me first. He then said he didn’t have availability to come to me this side of new year so I told him not to worry as I had found another plumber who was able to come sooner. The plumber himself was absolutely lovely on the phone and was fine with this stating that he didn’t really have the time for the job anyway.

I then recieved a rather abrupt call from this company (who act as an agent and outsource/pass the job on to self employed plumbers), who told me that I would have to pay a £49 cancellation fee. When I stated that there was no mention of a cancellation fee and that the reason the plumber wasn’t coming was because he didn’t have the time to come today the lady I spoke to then said it’s part of the terms and conditions and there is a £49 call-out fee. I was never told about any cancellation fees nor was I sent any so called terms and conditions and so I insisted I would not be paying as the engineer never even came out to my property.

The lady from this company became quite rude and pushy insisting the payment must be made however I told her legally I do not have to pay them anything as there was no contract made, no confirmation of any booking and no mention of any terms and conditions before hanging up on her.

Interestingly nobody has called me back so I think they realised they’ve been rumbled. What bothers me is many people - particularly vulnerable people would have caved at this pushy and intimidating behaviour and paid out an unjustified fee. Please don’t risk it and just find another plumber or contractor as these guys are not worth it!

Reading others reviews this seems to be a common theme where they lie about having provided information, quotes etc upfront and then extort people into paying ridiculous funds.

Updating in response to the reply from the company. You did not quote the price upfront, if you did I would have declined. You only quoted a £49 call out fee. Regarding your offer of a discount on my next job. There is no way I'll ever do business with you again. Outrageous way to prey on people in an emergency situation. Karma will catch up with you.

The service and experience was good, but the cost was mind-blowing and there was no warning of the hourly rate. This company clearly takes advantage of people in a panic (like me) who just call the first number they find online! The guy that came was very nice and helpful but I was shocked at the cost (£386.50 for the callout and about an hour and 10 minutes of the engineer's time). It did leave me questioning how legit this company is.

Worst experience I have ever had in my whole life. Told me it was a £49 call out fee when I asked how much the job was on the phone. The plumber didn’t tell us how much the job would be before fixing and went ahead and fixed. Btw our hot water wasn’t flowing because the tap was turned a different way on the boiler so it took him 30 seconds to fix. The plumber said it the company had told him this on the phone, he would have told us how to fix it and not bothered coming out. The plumber reported the job back and said as it was a Sunday, he would charge £220. The company rang me and said it would be £369!!!!!! We asked how it was this much and for a break down which he couldn’t give us. My partner said we’re not paying and the agent on the phone threatened us saying he would send us to a debt recovery agency and then said that he would tell the plumber to do something to our boiler so it didn’t work!!!!! My partner is disabled so this could have been really serious if the boiler was in an even worse state.
We ended up paying £200 including call out fee for the plumbers time as it wasn’t his fault as he was a contractor. Absolutely disgusting company.
We will be seeking legal action about the threats made by the agent on the phone.

Please do not use this company, they’ll rob you and endanger your life. Our boiler stopped working late at night (20th of November) so I just found the first emergency boiler engineer that came up on Google. I rang this company and they disclosed £49 call out fee but no hourly rate (although as per the SRA transparency rules they must disclose an hourly rate) , as we had no hot water and no heating we accepted and they were out around 3 hrs later. The “engineer” turned up and spent 30-40 minutes maximum trying to figure out what was wrong with our boiler, he then “fixed it” but didn’t explain to us what he’d done or what was wrong with our boiler, additionally there were no replacement parts or anything of such. He then had a lady from their company ring us and tell us they were going to charge us £400. As young naive new homeowners we accepted even though it quite honestly deprived us of any left over money for the month, thankfully I had a feeling something wasn’t right and took a video recording of us paying the engineer. We payed £100 in cash and the rest over the phone. I requested an invoice and it was explained to me it would be the automated the next day. I awaited for my invoice for 2 days and still nothing so I rang and emailed, and have still to this day had no invoice. The next day the boiler stopped working again, I rang them and the lady on the phone said she would get an engineer either to contact me or to come out that same exact day. No engineer ever contacted me or came and we had small children coming staying in the house with us at the time with no heating and no hot water. We then contacted the manufacturers of the boiler and they’ve come out and explained it’s a dodgy gas valve! It is now getting properly fixed by someone who knows what they are doing and isn’t endangering anyone in the house. I have since emailed them and explained I am still yet to be contacted or have an engineer come to my house since the day they said they would (23rd of November), the same as my invoice. I explained in another email that I expected, my invoice to be sent through email in the next 4 working days, explaining they have until the 5th of December to send me my invoice otherwise, I will report their company to the Trading Standards for breaking the consumer rights act 2015, because they left us with no heating or hot water since the 23rd of November and I was charged for a job that seems to me was not completed! It is now the 6th of December and I never received a reply. I am reporting them to trading standards. Please please do not make the same mistake we did DO NOT use this company at all they will rob you and leave you with a dodgy gas valve thus endangering your life. My heart breaks for all the other people who have had experiences such as mine with this company, I wish I would have read these reviews and avoided this whole ordeal.

Be careful this company rips you off, they say £50 call out fee but it’s a lie. I would encourage anyone who uses them to go to trading standards as the more complaints the better. I have reported them today. Called them to be told £50 call out charge and then will charge for what the job is. My partner called twice to check this with them. The man came and just stopped the radiator from leaking which took him all of 10 minutes. Then someone at the office called and wanted £369 for this. Could not believe this, the lady was rude and cocky on the phone and when my partner hung up she called back on a mobile number saying she does not like being hung up on, was obviously on a mobile so it was not recorded so she could be as rude as she wanted to be as she just kept being rude. My partner got it down to £250 in the end but I wish we did not pay it now as should not of even cost £100 for 10 minutes. I feel for the elderly using these. They should be ashamed of their selves. I see on the review already made that they offer money off next time you use them. There will be no next time I will be making sure I do not use them again, I was in the house with my 2 children alone and partner was at work and the man would not leave till they ripped us off with is very intimidating!

Avoid I Should read the reviews on this company before calling I had the same experience wanted to charge me over £200 for just half an hour just for diagnostic end up arguing and paying £100 following day I asked them about all the bad reviews they had the lady just laughed at me on the phone and said happy Christmas you’ve been done like all the others their reply was the same as everybody else’s avoid these scammer

AVOID and NEVER give your bank details to this company. Also, take no notice of the responses they’ve put to this review and other people’s reviews on here, notice how every reply they give is the same. They say in there responses: “…the price quoted upfront by our engineer was based on standard rates, and any additional costs are communicated transparently to ensure no surprises” - all of that is a TOTAL LIE.
We were only given the £49 callout The and no other amount was discussed at any time until the job was done and we had the aggressive telephone call wanting £429.
The fan on our central heating boiler had stuck with the extreme cold weather, so the engineer simply held our hairdryer to it for 5 minutes. He then sends a picture of the working boiler back to the company, that’s based in London, and they telephone within minutes to start the disgraceful, nasty, bullying demands and wanted £429! A long argument began and they got more disrespectful and nasty by the minute. I offered to pay £200 as a reasonable amount for an emergency callout and said they would have to take me to civil court for the rest. I gave £200 to the engineer and got him to sign a receipt for full and final payment. The company said they are reporting me to a debt collecting agency and slammed the phone down. I’ve since reported them to trading standards who are taking it up as a potentially criminal case because of the way we were treated from the outset. I’m am very concerned for elderly and vulnerable people who would be very easy targets for this despicable company.

Another person to tell you not to use them. They told me 49 over the phone and ended up paying £229 to be told my boiler needs replacing. Don't use them...

Not happy at all being ripped off then the immersion stopped working after a week! I spent £349 for absolutely nothing!!

After I made my reservation, I discovered many negative reviews so I tried to cancel it but I was told the technician is already on his way and the cost is depends on the difficulty, I had to pay £49 otherwise.

Turned out being ripped off.

I enquired about this service in response to a plumbing issue I faced at my elderly Father’s house and in haste rang them for an emergency appointment. At first, impressed by their 30 minute callout time listed on their website I was met instead with a 2 hour wait time spent in a cold house desperately needing assistance for my then ill bed-bound Father.

Eventually two plumbers turned up and assessed the problem, the solution of which was quite literally the flicking of a switch and a minor check of the water pressure within the household. It is also noted that no other maintenance or spare parts were needed on this occasion and within 30 minutes the pair were done.

Happy to pay, I enquired about the price which came to a whopping £344! Not exactly even close to what I imagined I’d be paying.

Just for reference - minusing off the call out fee of £49 which I expected to pay this works out at just under £10 per minute of service which I deem wholly overpriced and unacceptable.

To add insult to injury the plumbers explained to me that if I’d done it through them privately the cost would have been around £90 leaving me feeling even more ripped off and upset.

Please, to anyone out there considering this service DO NOT PROCEED, it is run by a call centre type infrastructure sub-contracting work out to private plumbers and reaping the rewards of desperate people in desperate situations. Judging by other reviews I am not the first nor will I be their last victim. Attempts to file a complaint against this company have led to a wild goose chase and a lack of answers in any direction I try and look as they make themselves very hard to contact.

Call a local plumber, get recommendations from friends but please I beg of you, do not use this service unless you are happy paying astronomically exorbitant prices.

I August this year I employed them to fix a dripping electric boiler. They charged me £350 and did not fix the leak.
I complained in an email and they sent someone to fix the leak, again he did not fix it and left my kitchen in a state.
I emailed them again - the last email being in September, they acknowledged the email however have not done anything about the matter.
I phoned them today and they said someone who was qualified to do so will call me back today.
I await their call.

Phones up to get them to come out and look at boiler as was not working. Lady said £49 call out fee. The guy came out looked at it could tell he was wasting time to try and charge us a lot of money. Had no parts fitted or required, just drained water from boiler and radiator, got it working again.
Lady rang me and told me the price was going to be £389!! For whattttt… said I wanted a invoice/receipt before I pay, said I would not receive one until the morning. Felt pressured and payed the man,Phoned my bank to try and get the money back but said I need to report to trading standards or fraud action and i certainly will be ! Please do not use this company. SCAM!

Scam ! Said it would be £49 call out and parts , the plumber was due within 2 hours and arrived 5 hours later, he didn’t repair the blockage he created a leak and tried to charge £500. No chance, we ended up getting a local plumber and he said the job was simple and the plumber who can had made a mess ! Do not use this company

Absolute scam artists. Contacted them for an emergency repair on my 84 year old mum's boiler. £49 call out fee which was reasonable, said I'd pay contractor hourly rate and any parts, again reasonable. Plumber turned up who was lovely, got the boiler working in under 40 minutes, no parts required. Company phoned me back whilst plumber was still there and said their finance department had calculated the bill and it was £349 for less than 40 minutes work. When I said I wouldn't pay that amount, he demanded to speak to my mother, when I said he could speak to me, he said I couldn't as my mother was responsible for the bill, I then told him I had an LPA for my mother, he accused me of lying saying my mother was responsible for the bill. Anyway after him being aggressive and hanging up a few times, he took £250. Do not use this company under any circumstances, phone a plumber with 24 hour service directly even if it takes a few attempts.
