If I could give them 0 stars I would! Completely incompetent law firm and I would never trust them to handle my mortgage again! We had a remortgage offer in place for months and on their online tracker I was made to believe everything was on track and I had provided all evidence that I needed. Then the week before the end of my current deal came along and this deal fell through. We found out because of my mortgage broker chasing things up, not Optima legal. This resulted in us
not having time to secure a new deal before our current deal ended and causing us further financial difficulties. Then, almost two weeks after it was all over, we received an email from Optima Legal giving us information that we had been given by our broker two weeks prior! The delay and lack of communication is shocking! Absolutely the worst experience which has caused me so much stress.

Generally very good, apart from wrong redemption statement request, leading to some confusion.

Contact i long and frustrating, online system is poor and prone to error. Quite frankly avoid like the plague. It's a shambles

I was frustrated twice when messaging, both times leading to delays which I believe lead to the late completion & unnecessary additional costs in added interest fees.
1. I messaged I had received the text to authenticate the signing of the deed & the response when in circles asking if I wanted to complete the deed.
2. I messaged asking if the lease I had already sent was sufficient, but got the same question I had already been asked.

In both questions, the responders had not bothered to read the previous context. Unsatisfactory.

Fair service

Some processes can be improved so that customers aren't charged two transaction fees when if they give the chance for money to be paid to one person on the mortgage you save money. As no option we got charged twice where myself or partner could have made a transfer to the other person.
Optima could have given that option.

Previously I've used conveyancing companies and they have been awful but Optima were recommended by the mortgage brokers and they were fantastic.
All of the remortgage went through really quickly. No problems at all. The tracker helps with keeping the documents all in one place and lets you see what is outstanding. I can't fault them, an excellent service.

Used Optima Legal for my remortgaging - the online portal was very effective and efficient for managing all the legal paperwork. It was clear what I needed to do and when. Many of my questions were already answered in the 'FAQ' section and I got prompt responses when I did need to ask a question via the messaging service. Would hope to use this company again for a future remortgage!
