Terrible customer service- it’s a gamble
My first few orders were great but 2 weeks ago I received a coat with the lining so twisted I can’t get my arm in the sleeve,
I emailed to ask how to exchange, was asked to supply photos and now I have had no response for over a week and a half.

I wanted to write this review given the number of negative reviews. I was apprehensive at first because I noticed that despite the expensive price tag the delivery wasn’t free and the materials used to make the clothes were not natural. However I absolutely loved the design of the Daphne yellow blazer and placed an order. By the time I placed an order aligne had offered free delivery and it was tracked and delivered. I’m happy with the design, stitching and finishing of the blazer. It’s unique and longline which as someone who dresses modestly I appreciate. I put 4 instead of 5 stars because I don’t think the £165 price tag can be justified for a poly-viscose jacket. I would’ve expected to see some better materials used.
I have recently had a very trying time…
I have recently had a very trying time with Aligne. My order was not delivered to me, it was not delivered to my collection point. I was lied to many times by DPD telling me I would receive my parcel. It was never delivered to me and was returned to the warehouse. After many many emails to Aligne who do not respond for most of the time for 48 hour's ! Imagine emailing on a Friday and not receiving a response until Tuesday ! I have finally had my problem resolved with compassion and compensation. I am hoping that the company will learn from the experience and improve their customer service response time.
Extortionate costs for returns
I recently purchased a pair of jeans from Aligne, but upon receiving them, I found that the quality did not meet my expectations given the price point. I returned them through Royal Mail, assuming that the £3 return fee charged by Aligne was solely for the cost of return. However, I later discovered that I also owe £2.99 for a delivery fee on top of the return fee. This unexpected additional cost was not communicated to me prior to my purchase, and I feel that it was misleading on Aligne's part. As a result, I am disappointed in this experience and would have reconsidered my purchase had I been aware of the full costs involved.
Uncaring company with deceitful couriers
Shirt ordered on Wednesday, delivery notified for Thursday. Hurrah! Thursday am, early, I get an email from Aligne’s courier, DPD to say sorry they missed me, they attempted delivery but I was ‘not in’ and they have taken my item to a local shop for collection. Of course I was in and so was my dog who barks the place down when anyone is at the door. Also, I live on a development where couriers are asked to take all parcels to Reception which is staffed 24/7. There is no way they could not have successfully delivered. I am disabled and have no way of collecting from anywhere; this is why I shop online. Every single thing I buy is delivered by mail or courier but I have NEVER experienced such downright lying and unprofessional behaviour as this.
I have written to Aligne 3 times and to the courier once with - guess what? - no reply. I am appalled that a company such as Aligne which claims the highest standards of integrity and decent values should have none of these. I adore their clothes and have been a good customer but no more. And the fact they employ couriers with similar lack of professionalism speaks volumes. I will not let this rest.
Crappy customer service
Darling clothing, but sizing is off and the customer service absolutely SUCKS. Is there anything more infuriating than typing out a detailed email to customer service only for them to NOT read it and instead send back a boilerplate response with zero help?
Shipping is $9.99 and is not refundable. There is a $7 return fee. This company refuses to offer exchanges, thus forcing you to make another purchase and wait weeks for your return to process back to your credit card.
I emailed asking if they could make an exception on the fees as I was repurchasing the same item but in a smaller size and would have to end up paying $30 extra for the skirt with 2x shipping plus the return fee - they refused.
I will be writing reviews about this infuriating experience everywhere I can so hopefully no one else makes the mistake of shopping here. Greedy f*ers.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOP WITH THEM
As with previous reviews for them, only a one star so I could post a review to prevent another person dealing with this company. I would have serious concerns about the authenticity of any stars above this.
Do not purchase anything from this company, their customer service is
appalling, you will not receive your goods and will have lost your money. The only reason I have had any positive outcome is that I escalated the matter via my payment method, Klarna.
Look at the genuine reviews and consistent issues, do not be charmed by the overpriced items or where they are advertised.

I ordered early December and am still awaiting delivery. I have contacted customer services 3 times via the email link. I received a reply from my 1st email with a promise of more information to follow. I am still awaiting that reply, mid January. . My 2nd and 3rd emails have been ignored. Shop with extreme caution, probably best to buy from a reputable retailer who have a decent customer policy rather than the opaque “service” that ALIGNE provides.

Like Aligne clothing very much. LV their designs and would like to see more dresses and skirts. When I have a question I just email and get a quick and simple response that answers my query.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. On what they call ‘final sale items’ they say you cannot refund or even exchange items!!!! This is utterly ridiculous and near illegal: any large retailer should permit returns on items bought remotely, sale or not. I DEFINITELY will not be using again and strongly recommend avoiding them.

Terrible Customer Service
Really dissapointed with this company. I ordered a jacket for my wife size 8 after waiting for many weeks as it wasn't available. It them arrived but it was the wrong size. I contacted the customer service and after 5 days they reply. It was a generic email where they offered to "Wave the return cost". which in itself was a joke, Aligne made the mistake not me and yet you think waving the return cost was a good gesture? It's the minimum!!! they then wrote they would investigate - Whatever that means? Then offered me a refund. I wrote back on Tueday 2nd explaining I want an exchange not a refund and after 72 hrs still no reply. This company has a non -existant customer service and I am really dissapointed as i was unable to give my wife the xmas present I wanted and that this is a business that you can't even communicate with. god knows how long it will take to get my refund processed.

what a terrible company. My wife bought a jacket from them in the sale which was supposed to be very good quality and it was beyond poor, and she checked if sale items were returnable which they were, but at the final point of checkout it said final sale items were not returnable which she missed. She now has a pile of junk she cannot return. How can they hold there heads up selling rubbish which you cannot return
My first purchase from this company
My first purchase from this company, Aligne, August this year, 2023, was the size 22 Gabrielle dress, in dark blue denim. Even though it looked good on the website, the slim model didn’t inspire confidence in me, of the more curvaceous figure. I was anxious it would not fit. Amazingly and wonderfully it was too big or rather I thought it was loose fitting - it had a little, and quite properly a little space to spare! Yet even better, it looked great on me – fake apologies for not being modest – I was over the moon. As a more voluptuous person, I was ecstatic because I often experience the opposite. So despite it’s subtle ‘voluminosity’ I wore it and was surprised with many compliments – some from the most unexpected people, including and shockingly my hypercritical, no filter, non-diplomatic 80 plus plus mother. Energised, I got the Gabrielle in black corduroy in size 20 and even that was a little roomy, but I loved that too and purchased the Gabrielle in pink denim. My mother then corrected me about the sizing, she said, “are you silly?” these dresses are designed to be “generous” - “they’re a style, reminiscent of the lavish Elizabethan time with a modern day twist”, she said. Whether she was right or not I understood. Wow! My mum! I wonder if she watches designer stuff on Youtube? Then I got the Gabrielle in black denim. All the dresses arrived beautifully packed and wrapped in paper. I also received a lovely incentive and encouragement of 10% off my next purchase - which I’ve used. These clothes are exceptionally well made, the stitching is straight and the material is great. The price is wonderful for what is being produced. It’s a quarter of the price of a high end designer brand that is on par with the quality of Alignes’ denim. I recently purchased a denim jacket from this other brand, which I love, and Alignes demin clothes is at the same exceptional and excellent standard – no loose threads! These are undoubtedly quality garments and they will last. I’ve only come across this brand in the last few months and I am very happy with their products. But perhaps importantly this is a cut/style/design of dress, that will look good on every shape and sizes. The shorter women may need to take up the hem an inch or two. I am 5’4 but I do like longer dresses. The Gabrielle is a classic design which I believe will become timeless. You can wear them casually and I am hoping they produce a velvet version. A testament to the companies confidence in their product is the fact they offer a tailoring service. As I write this I am waiting for the new in, Mary pleated denim skirt and my sale purchases of the white Hibiscus dress, the cream Heef pinafore dress and the Justine skirt. I read the negative reviews after my purchases and I am not questioning anyone’s experiences however mine has been filled with pure joy and laughter from purchase to wear and postive reaction.

Gabrielle dress 16 is bigger than an 18!!
I have ordered 2 different size Gabrielle dresses and the smaller one measures bigger. I really wanted to wear the dress tonight. There is no customer services contact for urgency and I want to get the right size and now have to return 2 dresses. I dont want to wait for alteration service either.
Really really really slow!
This has taken SO long to ship that I honestly totally forgot I had ordered it. They never contacted me to tell me there would be a delay in shipping. I think it’s been about six or more weeks!
Then they have posted 3-5 day delivery. I know that’s being impatient and I honestly would have NO issue of they had bothered to say this would be the case! For example I ordered something the other day and the owner of the company reached out and said I am SO sorry but we have had some issue with supply and it’s going to be later than promised. Me - no worries thanks. Aligne need to get better at customer care clearly! Hopefully the product when it finally arrives is great and I can move the stars up!!!
Extremely poor response from customer…
Extremely poor response from customer service. My coat arrived with a horrific sewing job on the lining causing the wool fabric to bunch and twist.
Several emails including pictures have not been responded to.
With exchange, duties and taxes I’m out over 700.00 Canadian Dollars.

Ordered 2 shirts in the sale - they arrived beautifully packaged and quickly. They didn’t suit me so I returned them which was easy to do and my refund was quick. Will buy from them again.
