This is a predatory company. Sure they may help you fill out forms, same thing a VSO does for free. They charge over $2000 to "help" you get what you deserve. Then tell you how they have an inside loop to get it done quicker.

You all did a great job of getting my mother the aid that she not only needs but deserves. My only complaint is the communication is lacking a bit. Maybe setting more realistic timelines for the VA review process.

I began the process of application for my 98 year old WWII veteran father in very early January 2024. He has been in an assisted living facility for the past five years in New Jersey, which is extremely expensive. I was skeptical regarding the upfront fee, but once I began the process of collecting and submitting backup documentation, our case manager, Marcella, and the documentation coordinator, Anthony, certainly kept the project moving forward. They were always kind and helpful. The application was submitted in early March 2024, my father just received his initial deposit of three months of pension payments. If this is how the process goes for everyone, it is certainly worth the initial expense.

Long story short. Started working with AVA in August of 2023 to help my 90 year old Mother in Law get financial help. At first AVA was good to work with but by October I had been switched around to several of their reps. I had all the info they needed at hand so the application should have been submitted in September. I finally received the completed application from them in early January 2024. I’m assuming someone forgot existed. Finally got approved in May for a lesser amount so now I must handle on my own to get the correct amount of funding she deserves.

There was a significant cost for your service, and our DIL did the majority of assistance for us. It took from August to April

American Veterans Aid really helped me with getting the assistance I needed to get help with my finances so I can pay my living expenses. The paper work from the VA can be very cumbersome, but American Veterans Aid knew exactly what forms to fill out and helped me find the information I needed (for example, my husbands discharge papers from WW2). Also, everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Lucy who lead me along the way.

I found AVA to be very helpful. They walked me through everything and followed up often to keep me on track. It was well worth the money spent because if I had tried to file on my own I would probably be hiring a lawyer by now. There’s so much to it, but they made it fairly easy to navigate.
I have recommended them to several people.

American Veterans Aid gave me the support I needed to file for my elderly mother. They have streamlined the process for gathering pertinent information and eliminated the back-and-forth that often delays the process when working directly with the VA. Once my information was gathered, they checked it and I sent it to the VA. The entire process took about 4 months. Those I have met who tried this on their own took much longer. Don't delay! When you know your veteran, or veteran's spouse, requires care, start the process right away. The cost of assisted living, home-health care, etc. is incredibly expensive!

From the very first phone call through the day benefits were received, staff from AVA were there to help with questions, concerns, and guide me through what could have been a very painstaking process. They know the ins and out of the processes while most of us don't, and the help they provided was priceless. They are truly angels and I am very thankful for their service.

I reached out to this orginization and they were very insightful and informative. They assisted us in filing the paperwork to receive LTC benefits for my mother Letitia, a US Navy veteran. With their assistance, she was approved right away. I thank them for their assistance, and providing my mother some piece of mind.

The paperwork is very complicated and cumbersome. It would have been very difficult to complete without your help. It was easy to get in contact with people on your end and everyone was kind and helpful.
