My mother would have never been approved for benefits without American Veterans Aid assistance.

We appreciated the knowledge and expertise provided by American Veterans Aid. They made all the paperwork and red tape as simple as it could possibly be. Their directions were detailed, accurate and easy to follow. Any questions we had were answered quickly. We were very pleased with their process and would highly recommend them.

Got my Dad’s benefits with in 5 months. They did a Great job for us.

Company was nice to deal with but the process to help Veterans and or Spouses is way to difficult and time consuming.

Our Team was knowledgeable in answering our questions to help us feel comfortable in choosing AVA. We received our information packet promptly, and they walked us through line by line which ease our minds even more.
We are very happy with our results and it took the worry and anxiety out of the equation.

To navigate the VA on our own would have been a nightmare. AVA guided us through a long & arduous journey to obtain a much needed and deserved benefit.

Well it started out fine, but the outcome took too long and I passed a week before my approval. You would think that funds would still be provided for the time leading up to my passing, or a refund should be made. The people were courteous and friendly. They did call to make sure that documentation was received and delivered.

Perfect experience. Everything went smoothly without any additional requests or questions. Originally I was worried I just wasted $3K, but it was money very well spent. I could not imagine navigating through forms (without clear and concise instructions) without their assistance. They are well staffed and reply to you within a day. Highly recommend using them to get through the process

No follow up by AVA after the package was submitted to the VA (up until then AVA was very helpful). I had to put my 87 year old uncle through a lot to be able to follow up on our own with the VA.
Also, blatantly lied to by the person at AVA who was supposed to follow up. His package was held up at the VA and she told us it was almost done - not true. It's been stuck in the same "phase" since April 2024. I do NOT recommend this company.

AVA said Dad would get approved, paid them, & filled out the paperwork. Then AVA said Dad had too much $ and would have a Finance Guy call. He did, gave me incorrect info, and said he would call back, but he didn't. Figured it out myself, Dad's application was submitted, but he died a month later. AVA called (Chrisy Klein) & left a message about another form to be completed. I Left repeated messages over the month, sent emails, and cannot find out what the form is. AVA is so frustrating and a waste of time.

The process was well organized and well executed and resulted in a timely positive outcome.

The ease of the process and help guidance every step of the way made the process very doable The help process of what I needed to get to assist in the paperwork to send over and then receive back sign and send in took a little over 6 months ! But well worth it

AVA helped me throughout the entire process. I was informed from the initial contact what was required regarding paperwork and if my mother qualified. My case manager made sure I submitted the correct paperwork and that all the documents were signed in the correct places. I was instructed where to mail the final signed documents to the VA. I was kept informed regarding the status of my mother's application as it was being reviewed by the VA. American Veterans Aid was accurate about the time estimate I would receive payment which was in 4 months. It is because of AVA that my mother can use this benefit due to my father's service. It has been helpful in the cost of my mother having to live in a memory care group home.

All we had to do was follow instructions as to what documents were required to complete applications.
On March 1st we were advised to file an "Intent to file" form, which Amvets provided, in order to expedite claim and lock in retroactive payment date, because my sister met certain eligibility requirements. This was filed on April 1st. During the next month, we worked closely with Amvets, giving them all the information needed, (discharge papers, marriage license, death certificate, social security award letter, etc.). They prepared the application, we double checked it, our application was filed in early May and payment for April thru July was received in early August.

Everyone was friendly and very thorough in explaining what I needed to do. Feedback was timely and informative so that I got all of the documents in.

It took 3 months for it to go through "the system" but am getting benefits as was explained.

Every person we worked with to get my dad approved for help with Aid and Attendance benefits was so nice and helpful. Every question I asked was answered quickly. The benefits came right on time too, just as promised.

AVA was exactly the help I needed to get a timely response from the VA's Aid and Attendance benefit for my 93 year old mother who was no longer able to live independently. They are PROFESSIONAL, THOROUGH, and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I HIGHLY recommend them! I hired them in January and her first check came in July.
