I have just got back into fishing after 10 years due to my work, I now have some free time to take it up again so I paid a visit to Angling Direct Arnold Nottingham over the last two weeks
In ten years equipment has advanced from just having Rod reel, keep box, landing net and keep net I had made a list of stuff I thought I would need
Jordan took it on himself to be my personal shopper he explained what new equipment was available and what was the most popular with fisherman but also what expectation was
The rest of the staff helped to
I ended up spending over a £1000 pound
Which was what I budgeted for by the way
the staff were very informative, knowledgeable and helpful I would definitely recommend this shop
Thanks to them I had 4 days of great fishing catching my first mirror carp
Well done to the staff especially Jordan
He went above and beyond the normal its on isle 10 attitude you normally get from sales staff by the way
(They are not on commission) so made it even more special knowing that he wasn’t just selling me something I didn’t need
This will be my go to fishing shop
Already got my son doing fishing so will have fined another customer by just being good at their job

Great aftersales
I had a problem with my first order due to poor handling by the Courier (DX).
A quick call to Angling Direct, spoke to a lady called Linden, and replacements were sent out as a priority.
Customer service were polite, competent, and solved the issue immediately.
I'd happily buy from here again.

I had ordered a rs150 (expensive bit of kit for me), and upon arrival, one of the poles was snapped.
No messing around, straight to the point, here are your options. All you can ask for really.
Only reason I haven't given 5 stars as I'm still in the process of having it collected and replaced but I don't see any issues occurring.

Great service
Spoke to Jason who answered my query when one of the items I had ordered has been dispatched but the other item had been delayed
Jason quickly called the other warehouse and emailed me to say that my new bed chair would be delivered within 5 days
Very happy with the service

delivery service poor, poor poor. have trouble with every delivery latest one is they are struggling to access the item in the warehouse and need 13 days to locate it... cmon i know i was born at night but not last night.

I had an issue with a Bivvy for my son…
I had an issue with a Bivvy for my son and when I contacted them they were really responsive and sorted out the issue. End result one happy 13 year old!

Brilliant customer service
My order arrived on time (Royal Mail) but I noticed the box was damaged. I took photos and when I opened the box the bat container was cracked and damaged with the bait leaking in to the box. I contacted customer services and provided photos, I only contacted them to make them aware not to complain, but Lili came back straight away and a replacement was dispatched immediately. Package arrived in good condition. Fantastic customer service.
Will definitely continue to use Angling Direct.

Went to Angling Direct in Leamore…
Went to Angling Direct in Leamore Walsall staff were friendly and very helpful. Special mention to Kyle for helping and explaining different products and for getting us set up with what we needed and not overloading us with non essential items. Advice given freely and able to contact him if any more questions. Overall very happy with our visit. Definitely recommend this branch if you want honest advice.

Benefit of the doubt
Following on from my last review. I naively gave Angling direct the benefit of the doubt, low and behold placed an order for an in stock item Wednesday evening and it didn’t turn up until this morning so 5 days after again for priority shipping.
My ordered was incorrect on delivery…
My order was incorrect on delivery but spoke to Lilli who worked to ensure all my issues were corrected. Nothing seemed to much and she was able to sort my issue on the day of writing this review. I visited Angling direct in Swinton were yet another amazing member of staff called Alex confirmed my order was sent out totally wrong and emailed their dispatch/ order team right away. The true test of a company, is how they help a customer in need. Everyone involved in this went above and beyond. Truly amazing

Es wurden mehrere Artikel bestellt und es wurde alles bis auf den teuersten Artikel geliefert.
Kann ja mal passieren,dass was vergriffen oder der gleichen.Nur dann sollte man den Kunden darüber Informieren oder auf dem Lieferschein vermerken,dass etwas nachgeliefert wird.
Bei mehreren anrufen wurde mir immer etwas anderes erzählt und ich wurde immer vertröstet.
Sogar Ausreden wie das wird vom Hersteller direkt an mich geliefert wurden mir erzählt,dann habe ich in Schweden angerufen,und die Firma wusste nichts von solchen Lieferungen.Auch versprochene Rückrufe wurden nicht eingehalten!
Habe dann PayPal eingeschaltet und habe dann den Rest erhalten. Darauf wurde ich gleich aufgefordert den Fall zu schießen.Habe ich dann genau so gut gemacht wie der Kundenservice von Angling Direct.
Nähmlich nichts!
WER ÄRGER BEI EINER BESTELLUNG MÖCHTE KAUFT HIER.
Ich 1 mal und nie wieder.Leute schaut euch die Bewertungen an,dass scheint öffter zu funktionieren bei der Firma.

what a joke
ordered nytro roost with box attachment, sent wrong one, emailed said out of stock, opted to wait instead of refund ( what a twot i am!) looked on website, they had the one i ordered in stock, emailed them asked why in stock and not sent to me, they then send me the wrong roost AGAIN!!, emailed back , i asked for refund as i was offered before and i would send back the two wrong roosts, was told needed photo before refund, said was over 70 and didnt know how to do this, still insisted on photo, as i put look on my original invoice for photo. TOTAL CRAP FROM A COMPANY I HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF £S WITH. NOW LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER< WONT RETURN. update.. had a reply with a phone number after asking 3 times, called and was sat on the phone for 65 mins!!! gave up!! no wonder they have so many bad reviews and loss of customers. crap cust service. will spend that bit extra and go elsewhere, so stick it !!

Issues with product, but customer service been fantastic
Have had issues with a product I ordered, namely an advanta sleeping bag, however, Jason @ customer service has been fantastic in dealing with my issues, and has solved everything as and when problems arise. Quick delivery also.

Great experience
I try to shop local where possible and avoid Amazon or large retailers but needed a fishing brolly on a budget. Found a decent one for not a lot of money (with some other bits, because why not!) and it was delivered very well packaged and in good time. Used the brolly once but alas, it leaked at the seams. Didn't dampen me or my spirits too much, had a good session and contacted AD when I got home. Provided pictures of the leaks and very soon had a reply with a replacement product sent out very quickly. Extremely friendly service and I'll not be avoiding this particular bigger company in future :)

On Monday 22ndSept I placed an order online.Realising I needed more items I phoned AD and spoke to Lindy who added the items to my order but said they would arrive separately within 3- 5days.
On Wednesday 24th(less than two days) everything arrived in one parcel. Thank you Lindy and All involved.
What excellent service.

I used the online service to order a…
I used the online service to order a solar landing net, i clicked on an old address by mistake, there was not way to edit the order so i called customer services and spoke to Jason, he managed to change the address. Jason seamed very helpful finger crossed it gets delivered correctly.

Customer service by Jason was excellent
Had to ring customer service as not received the chair I ordered nor did I have any notification what so ever
I spoke to Jason who looked into the problem for me and explained the chair was on a back order.
Jason also explained my options. I decided to wait until I heard from Jason in a couple of days time on an update of the chair.
Jason was polite and helpful
