Great service and fast responses
Having got in contact to try and sort a technical issue, I received prompt and quick responses from the team. I also requested an idea of when the item will be dispatched, as I need it for a certain date. Without asking Jason from the team promptly upgraded my order as a priority, and I quickly had a notification the next day with a quick delivery date, he also solved all my technical difficulties straight away. Great service and would 100% recommend them to others.

Got line put on 2 reels at the Warrington shop absolutely no idea one spool full other nothing like then wanted to just attach to what was left and add it on ended putting it on another reel and respooling it on to mine didn't even give me left over line absolutely terrible have now had to buy more line and do it myself properly at home

I'm writing this review as I hope in doing so the customer service agent jason is rewarded in some way as I had a problem with recieving my new trakker barrow because of some problems in the warehouse due to new racking and changes in the warehouse I had rang multiple times spoke to different agentswho were all really good and professional however a few of the times I rang I got through to Jason he was very sympathetic and understanding and even offered a years AD membership as a apology for the inconvenience he never set unreasonable expectations he always did his best to get a message through to the warehouse and to help me Jason's customer service was the best I have recieved from a company in a long time

The worst Angling supplier ever!
The service is terrible!
I ordered a reel and it came without the spare spool. When I rang their support they said that those reels don't come with a spare spool. So I checked with my usual supplier who advised that the reel should have a spare spool. So I sent an email to their support which promptly sent a standard auto reply saying that some parts may be shipped later. I still don't have my spare spool and nobody has got back to me to advise why.
I was badly let down by Angling direct previously when I ordered a fishing rod that came with bent rings and soiled bag. I thought I would give them the benefit of doubt and try them again only to once again be bitterly disappointed.
Angling Direct must be the worst and most unreliable supplier in the market. I've have had no problems with any of the other suppliers (and I've spent a lot of money this year). I think Angling Direct are just too big and nobody knows anything or what's going on. They consistently get things wrong and supply damaged / incomplete products. I can only assume that someone removed the spare spool before the item was shipped. I've given them two chances now and will never use them again and would recommend that you don't either.

Great customer service experience
Had a problem with an 11 month old Advanta reel. Contacted customer services via the website. Got a very quick response, sent requested pics and was offered a replacement or refund.
Perfect service.

Broken Reel Replacement
A reel I purchased broke and I was advised to box this and a courier would collect. The date passed without collection and another date was booked, with the same result. I was then offered a replacement and subsequently supplied with an upgraded model.

never left a review in my life until visiting AD Store
im 31 and never ever in my life left a review but my store visit was that bad i had no choice
staff lied to my face saying they have checked stock and when another staff member decided to check low and behold they had the stock all along (this really annoyed me to the core yet none of the staff seemed to give a care in the world
Staff more bothered talking about yesterdays footy scores then helping my father in law that was asking for prices on banksticks as none have prices, staff rudely replying/belittling him because they carnt be bothered checking the system for prices
also reserved 2 rod combos, got told they didnt do them or have them in stock even though i had a reserve email saying 10 in stock etc
they brought a different combo out and said its the exact same if better at the time i was so amgry i didnt think of inspecting the rod package i just purchased them but when i got home to check they were different sized reels, the rod tips had no protective case just an elastic band on both sets and the reels.
to say im miffed is an understatement and its a far journey for me to go back to branch to take back the combos but even if i did i feel they would palm me off
honestly the worst purchasing experience ever, they must be throwing money down the drain with the wnount of customers there fobbing off : when i was waiting to pay i over heard a guy who called in for pole rigs which were on the bottom shelf next to me, the guy said order online as we have none instock and i watched him glance at the samepole rigs i was looking at again this shows the level of customer service i was dealing with.
the stock never has price tags on and there exscuse is remoddeling, how many times can you remodel bank sticks - theyve been in the same basket for years!!
honestly will not visit that store again and from now on im going to have to travel further a field to wigan AD as there organised and actually care about helping you it will cost me more but worth it as to not deal with that again
if i could reduce it down from one star i would, there was a lot more things than the above but its to much to be typed out.
if it wasnt for the young lad that helped me with both items i would of just walked out and not spent a penny
and to top it off i read the store reviews beforw typing this and they all say the same things (poor staff,rude management) clearly im not the only one and its been going on for a while now 👍

Amazing after sales service
I purchased a new fishing rod and it arrived with a unseen fault that caused it to break the first time I tried it, I spoke to Angling Direct customer services, sent some pictures etc and without question they replaced the rod for a new one, amazing after sales service very impressed.
