This company is awful they trick you into a 9.99 monthly message system to try and hit you with a big bill after so now they are legally getting done by the looks of the reviews they do this to so many this app needs closing along with the other dodgy dating apps shocking behaviour do not go on this website its supposed to be one of the best but only for conning you out of money.

Passed on their threatening letter warning me of their plans to enforce a bank account levy, wage garnishment and forceful disclosure of assets via affidavit to my solicitor they are claiming I owe the sum of £350
I have news for them,I will see you in court, I hope you enjoy the publicity, I have nothing, so have nothing to lose. Any more contact via email or letters will be passed to my solicitor as I consider it harassment.

this site are scammers. I’ve read loads of user about these people. I asked emailed and it would not let me cancel the subscription. Then about three months later I started to get letters from a debt collection agency with loads of add-ons fees I won’t be paying you nothing your letters your constant emails from your debt collection. Agency will all be reported to the financial ambushment. I will also report you to the trading standards and the local authorities. You wanna be ashamed of yourselves trying to get money out of people and using the bullying tactic. Well it won’t work on me. See you in court that’s if it ever gets to court because there’s no court in the land will give you will let you serve an order on the fees and the malicious horrible NASTY people you are

This site is an absolute disgrace. There are no real people on here only employees and fake profiles. Once I realised this I tried to delete my own profile after cancelling my subscription through iTunes. It just says unable to delete at this time. After a reply from them saying I have to cancel my subscription through iTunes before I can delete my profile I followed the instructions but still unable to remove my profile from view. This site should not be able to operate in this country. Beware of this con and do not sign up

I cannot stress that enough. They are one of the only membership based entities I know of who wont close your account/suspend services upon missed payments. Most membership based services, if you miss the monthly fee, will suspend your account, and subsequently close it unless that months fee is paid shortly afterwards. These guys don't do that, they just keep racking up the charges, month after month, adding "late payment fees" much in the same way as Credit Cards/Loans work. I opened an account with them, used it for a week or so, realised it was a really poor product and just stopped using it (assuming that the account would autoclose after they weren't able to take the membership fee). I totally forgot about them for nearly 6 months, then one day I get an email from a German collections agency (T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR) demanding £410 on behalf of their client C-Date. After reviewing the invoice, C-Date had continued to charge me for 6 months, adding additional late fee's, interest and other charges relating to them chasing up this debt. I literally can't even remember the last time I've come across a company that operates in this way...not only do they offer a "piss poor" product, but they deliberately utilise a model designed to fleece people out of money unless they read the T&C in thorough detail (because after reading it in retrospect, specifically looking for this information, it took me a fair amount of time and patience to see the bit which stipulates they would do this).

The real kicker in this situation is if you are (like me) UK based, T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR can't be added to Debt Management Plan's because they are based in Germany, and they don't recognise them. I got into a fair bit of other debt around the same time due to being made redundant, and relied on Step Change to help me get control of the situation. But they could help with these guys...and they are serious...don't think just because they operate outside the UK they can't get the Balifs involved... because they can...and I'm now down 1 laptop as a result of this.

Do yourself a favour and keep away from these scammers...

This site is rubbish . Full of escorts and woman after money for photos and people that just ghost you . The site needs to make a setting that they must get back to you even just to say no thanks . Steer clear of this site

I made an account and cancelled my payment for it and then was sent a letter about it being my final payment when there was never a first letter received I reached out to have my account deleted and they still have not deleted my account dispite claiming to the owners of this site are bullies and instead of making a phone call or writing an email they just send collection maybe do that in future to see what's going on

Joined, then 1 week later exercised my right to cancel using their cancellation link. For 3 days I heard nothing. Then they did not cancel but , continued my membership. This is a scam company. I have screen shots of cancellation request. They ignored. Date and time stamped so they have no legal case. They contact me and say the link they provide to cancel.is the wrong link! UTTER BOLLOCKS! This service is a scam! Avoid it! I signed up and realized the contacts are only with c-date workers. I tried to cancel but couldn't, even though I took screenshots of my cancellation attempts. I used a prepaid card for sign-up, but c-date has been repeatedly trying to withdraw money from my bank account, possibly hoping I won't notice. Do not use this service; you won't be able to cancel, and your bank account could be at risk.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience absolutely deserves one.

I signed up for a one month subscription and within a week realised this site is completely low quality and not worth the money. Naturally, I decided to cancel, which is where the real problem begins.

They claim there is a cancellation link at the bottom of the homepage. That is misleading. On every normal subscription service, clicking cancel takes you through a simple process where you confirm your choice, maybe give a reason, and that is it.

Not here.

Instead, you are redirected to a form that feels more like applying for a passport than cancelling a dating subscription. They ask for your username, the exact date you subscribed, your payment method, and even personal details such as your address. None of this should be necessary just to cancel a subscription.

After completing all of that, you are then told that customer support will respond within five working days.

Five working days just to cancel a subscription.

This delay creates a very obvious risk. Anyone trying to cancel close to their renewal date could easily be pushed into another billing cycle and charged again. Based on the number of similar complaints, this does not appear to be a one off issue.

I have now submitted the cancellation request through their process and received an email confirming that my request has been received.

My subscription is due to expire on 8 May 2026, and I made my intention to cancel well within this period. I have kept full records of everything, including screenshots, receipts, and all communication related to this cancellation.

However, it is concerning to see many other users report that even after following the cancellation process, they were still pursued for additional payments, in some cases involving third party debt collection agencies and significantly inflated amounts.

I hope that will not be the case here. Given that I have followed their stated process and acted within the correct timeframe, any attempt to charge me further or pursue payment will be formally disputed and escalated, including seeking legal advice if necessary.

For a company operating under UK consumer protection and GDPR standards, this process is deeply concerning and, in my view, unnecessarily obstructive.

Avoid.

Avoid this scam, fake profiles, incredibly difficult to cancel membership. Currently getting legal threats over outstanding payments when I contacted them and told them I wanted to cancel membership.

Twice I have now requested this fraud company to delete my account and stop taking payments for fake profiles, today I decided to report fraudulent payment to metropolitan police and bank fraud team, like many have said its fake yet still take payments, you will be liable for any solicitor fees from 13th April 26, I've asked you twice, here is copy of email Hi Andyboy,

I didn't cancel renewal in time limit, I asked cdate 3 days after I opened account so if 3 days after account opened isn't on time, then yes you're a scam. I've read most comments about cdate problems after problems profiles say uk, you scan photos and they from different people mostly outside UK who have zero knowledge there photos are being used on you're site. Again this was all said in first email to cdate.
Thank you for full refund, I can only ask that you're site change a few a few things, making it easier for customers to find end subscription instead of having to scroll, secondly, more checks are done on photos, example, lady live says uk London, scan photo says photo from lady in Spain most I've spoken to after few messages are more interested in what's in you're bank account which straight away red flag, better verification on female members is needed, uk license, uk home telephone number etc.

Cancelling the subscription is a joke
They are making it absolutely impossible to cancel.
I have sent several formal requests to cancel as the cancellation link is broken and asks for information I can't possibly provide.
In the UK a formal request is sufficient but not with these crooks.

I would like to believe the response provided by cdate but in emails from cdate getting to this point they refused to take a formal letter of cancellation by replying if you don't fill the form out you will be charged!!!
That is against UK statutory regulation.
The questions in the cancellation form were unreasonable and the conditions to log out afterwards otherwise you would be charged unfair plus the saved password didn't work adding more confusion.
Hence losing trust quickly
It was one barrier after another and it seems I'm not the only one to notice it!!
