1st time visitors
Took a young person for their 1st ever visit and ride on a steam train. They absolutely loved the experience
All interactions with any staff member was great, no issues.
Had a lovely chat with the station master afterwards as the young person i was with showed an interest in volunteering. The gentleman explained the process clearly to us and was very informative and well mannered. He even thanked the young person in showing an interest in volunteering as wished him well with his application

Your gorgeous team made my aunty's 90th trip so special
We had an absolutely lovely day travelling from Froghall Station for my Aunty's 90th Birthday. The staff were incredible from the lovely lady I spoke to on the phone to arrange ten cream teas to the lady that greeted us at the station and all of the team on the train.
Unfortunately the Cream tea package was all booked up, but with the team's help we had a perfect cream tea trip anyway. They were even kind enough to reserve us three tables so we could all sit together.
I'm so sorry I didn't get individual names, but you gave us such a perfect day, I am so incredibly grateful.

Absolutely brilliant experience from…
Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. Booked a trip for 38 members of the North Staffs MS society on the ‘Coffee and cake’ train. Debbie was so helpful and friendly who made booking the trip an easy and enjoyable experience.
From checking in to the ladies in the coffee shop and all the staff on board the train, you were all so happy, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back next year 😊

Another outstanding breakfast as always…
Another outstanding breakfast as always at the Churnet Valley Railway. This was the last breakfast train of the year, and the four of us had such a lovely morning.
The beautiful carriage made the experience feel extra special, and the tea and coffee just kept flowing! The staff were absolutely incredible — friendly, attentive and couldn’t do enough for us.
We all all chose the full breakfast which was cooked to perfection.
The views and beautiful Staffordshire countryside were amazing as we travelled along the line. One of the loveliest moments was seeing the children in the nearby fields waving enthusiastically as we passed — it genuinely felt like something out of The Railway Children. 🥰🚂
A truly magical experience and the perfect way to finish the breakfast trains for the year.
Highly recommend Churnet Valley Railway and we’ll definitely be back next year! 🚂❤️

The Borders day was fabulous. Attentive friendly staff and volunteers.
Lovely cooked breakfast.
Great to see behind the scenes and travel along the line not usually travelled on. Fantastic close up experience of the steam train travel past. Definitely a day to remember.

Perfect Sunday trip

Excellent steam train ride
First time on a steam train and it was very good, me and my family had a lovely 2 hour journey through the staffordshire moorlands taking in the sites.
The breakfast and drinks were good value too and overall had a fab time. Think we might book again.

What a lovely day out
What a lovely day out, we had afternoon tea on the Nicholas carriage. The chairs were so comfy and the scones delicious. All the staff were so friendly and it was just a very relaxing 2 hours, highly recommended.
