I am very happy with my order thanks. It was faster than expected and goes well. The watch is solid and came with beautiful packaging. Of course I need to get the links taken out so it can fit me but I expected that.

Be aware this company is not NZ based
Be aware this company is not NZ based. Their office is in Australia so you get no consumer protection buying from them in NZ. If your goods are faulty you cannot have them repaired under warranty in NZ at official repair centres for free. You have to send the goods back to them, at your own cost and pay for return shipping as well.

Just a quick bit of advice for NZ purchasers - if your watch + shipping costs exceed $NZ1000 you will need to register for a Customs Client Number. This can be applied for, pre or post purchase, free of charge from NZ customs

Everything was quick and easy
Everything was quick and easy. Good price and a good deal for a wonderful watch. Plenty email messages about the order etc, but I never received a message from DHL to arrange a delivery time. The parcel just arrived in the letterbox. All good though.

My new Casio Edifice watch.
Good service.I have received my watch.It is a solar powered watch so I will need to keep the battery charged.Good that I was kept informed about my watch delivery. First Purchase, Great Experience
This was my first purchase from Citywatches and I'm very happy with the experience. The price was great, shipping was very fast (from Singapore to my front door in New Zealand in 4 days), and the product was well packaged and exactly as described/expected, it even came with a stamped international warranty card. Seiko Automatic 200M Dive Watch
I would not recommend buying a watch from Citywatches.co.nz. In fact I can no longer be sure that Citywatches actually sell “genuine branded“ watches, as they may well be selling “copy watches “.
I purchased a SEIKO Automatic Diver’s 200M watch in February ’21. I have had a number of SEIKO dive watches over the years, the last one for close to 20 years.
After approx. 9 months the watch was gaining time about 1½ minutes a week, but most critically it also had stopped dead which is more of a worry for a dive watch. Citywatches were advised about this within the warranty period stated. I received a standard response from Citywatches that I need to wear the watch for it to operate properly. I explained I wear the watch 24/7 so it should work and this isn’t the problem. Then Citywatches offered 15 USD to have a watchmaker ‘fix ‘ it . Now opening up a dive watch you need to get it pressure tested afterwards so this offer wouldn’t even pay for that. Next Citywatches offered 25 USD, again this is a joke. Then they (Citywatches) said I could send it back to them and they could repair it but this would take 3 to 5 months.
So I have a faulty SEIKO Automatic Diver’s Watch. If it stopped while diving for example, this could mean I unknowingly exceed the non-decompression limits. This is clearly a safety issue. Hence this SEIKO Automatic Diver’s 200M watch does not meet the “Fit for Purpose” criteria as a dive watch which Citywatches sold it as.
My advice from this experience would be to avoid any dealings with Citywatches, as they are neither a reputable nor an honorable vendor of watches.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The watch has a one-year International manufacturer warranty and will be repaired at any one of the authorized repair centers listed on the warranty card. Or You can send the watch to us for repair. However, it might take 3-5 months for servicing on our side. But we will try before the repair period it will solve.

I received my Tissot watch in good time…
I received my Tissot watch in good time (especially considering the current delays with courier deliveries). The watch is as nice as I expected it to be. I discovered that the NZ URL is not actually an NZ company and the watch was sent from Singapore. This made me concerned that the watch could be a replica. On inspection and some research, I believe the watch to be genuine. I'm yet to learn whether the international warranty is honored here in NZ.
