They are a fraud. They are not in NYC. They are located in China. Their scam is to sell very cheaply made clothing and then make returns impossible. Seek refunds from your credit card companies. Your credit card company likely knows this fraudulent company well.

This is a Chinese company with very low quality merchandise. I bought 2 CB Wilson long-sleeve shirts, and the Large size is really more like Small, ad the quality of the textile is really bad. I wanted to return the products, but between shipping, a shipping fee, and the hassle of following their directions, I just decided it was easier to just pay them. I hope no one else makes this mistake. The advertising is great, and the fake "NY-based" ads may get you. But this is just a bad clothing store with bad products. Stay away!

This is a horrible company to deal with. Typical Chinese Scam. They will not honor any promise, guarantee, etc. posted on their site. I wasted hours and finally contacted my credit card company. They removed the charge and stopped their payment to Clarkson. Clarkson will have to fight to get their money. Meanwhile, I have their shitty clothes. So, for the time being, I am winning. Don't waste your time with them.

What an absolute joke of a company! The only reason I’m picking 1 star is because I had to. The shirts are horrible fabric & the buttons were on the wrong side. When I fought it w/my bank the bank reversed the charges. Now the shitty company is threatening me w/all kinds of “lawyer” terms to get their money & shirts back. What a joke!!

Don’t believe that this scam is in NYC or that they will give you a complete refund if you are unhappy with the product. If you want any kind of a refund you have to ship whatever junky clothes you bought( and yes their quality is horses..t) back to China and deal with custom fees and shipping. Usually costs more than to just pay for the junk and burn it or give it to charity.

Horrible company to deal with. Like others have commented. Horrible quality. After a lengthy process I finally got got a return form. Shipped the stuff back and after two months, the package was returned to me. Fortunately, my credit card company gave me a credit. Now Clarkson is coming back at me for payment. And want me to return the stuff again! I can't read Chinese, so don't know the reason for the return. Was able to track the package to the Chinese border, but no further. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

XL shirts I ordered were too small and of a very inferior quality. They do not offer free returns.

DO NOT ORDER from this company. Products come from China, are very cheap, sizes are way off and they do not want you to return them, they will try anything to not take it back. Their website does not work half the time, don't waste your money!!!

As stated in previous reviews, I had all of these experiences and more. The two shirts that I ordered were the most pitiful quality I have seen with no tags and indeed, one was actually damaged. I immediately contacted them to which they wanted another $36 to return the items. The $36 is not the issue, but rather the illegitimate business practices and complete life, integrity, and transparency is the issue. I have also reported to the BBB as well as my credit card company

Marketed as a NY company but in China. Horrible customer service. Make you pay for return to china which includes crazy shipping rates and customs.

This company is a scam. Thier images suggest they are an upscale NY city clothier. I doubt they have any physical presence in NYC. The shirt I bought was sized all wrong. Forget trying to make contact with the Clarkson-NYC messaging or email, they don't answer. You can get an a answer from the company that you pay called GreaterGoodie but all they do is string you along with nonsense replies until they just stop communicating. This company doesn't even deserve a 1 rating but I couldn't see how to give them a zero.

Clarkson New York is an absolute fraud. You are not dealing with the company from New York, but you were dealing with China. When I received the order, it was totally wrong. Nothing fit and the company refused to give me a return label. They first said I had to send it back to China. Then they said that I needed a return label which they refuse to give me so I can test it with my American Express. I can state unequivocally that this company is nothing but a fraud out of China, and nobody should deal with them. They must be put out of business as they are dishonest.

I spent $119 on 2 shirts that did not fit.
It is nearly impossible to return the shirts.
They offered me 10% payback ($11.90) to jus keep the shirts. When I refused the offer and aske to return them I was sent a form to ship them back to CHINA at a huge cost an pay customs fees.

My issues are the same as everybody else's issues in trustpilot. But it wasn't until after reading everybody else's issues that I realized this place is a scam and didn't even have a storefront in New York. After getting nowhere with Clarkson re a shirt that I received that looks nothing like the shirt I ordered I did a charge back on my Capital One credit card. After about a month, Capital One gave me my money back. About a month later Clarkson figured out and that they didn't have my money and sent me a threatening letter saying I could either send the shirt back at my own cost (probably about $60 total) or I could pay the $55 that I owed them for the shirt I received. I have been going back and forth with them. I told them I will gladly send the shirt back but I'm not paying to send a shirt back when I got the wrong shirt in the first place. Anyway, they threatened reporting me to the credit bureau, small claims yada yada yada. I was going to pay them, just to make sure my credit stayed stellar. But after reading all the experiences on trustpilot, I realized since they don't even have my money, I'm going to fight this. I wrote them a final email telling them what I learned on trustpilot. Telling them I know they don't have a New York store. I told them that tomorrow I will be reporting them to every bureau I can think of. I told them they can either delete my so-called debt from their database or they can report me. But I have no doubt that I will win and in the process hopefully take them down a notch or two. Has anybody been threatened by them regarding small claims court or reporting to credit sites?

Shirts were so inferior it was pathetic.
When I tried to return they dragged out the process past the 30 day return window. Absolutely the worst customer service (totally a.i. generated responses)
This company is misrepresenting their products and ripping off anyone who dares buy anything from them. If I could assign negative star rating I would.

Please listen to me, this is a fake company, never buy anything from them. They are not in New York, they are somewhere in China. I looked at their ad and the shirt looked great and I ordered it and when I received it after a long time, it looked nothing like the picture on the ad, the quality was cheep and the design even worse. As soon as I opened the bag , I contacted them and said I want to return it. On the ad it said money back guarantee, but they said I had to mail it back to them to China and pay the postage fee as well as the custom fee which would be more than the cost of the shirt. I called my credit card copmany and disputed the charge and got a refund.
I wish I had read all the reviews before ordering.

The quality of the product was nothing like was advertised. The fit, advertises for older men, was terrible. The product looked nothing like the photography. Then to find out the return policy is so difficult and expensive, obviously designed to discourage returns.
