Clutch made the entire selling process smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Communication was clear, the process was well organized, and everything was handled professionally.

Easy to use. No haggling. Remove the worry of getting scammed from shady buyers. In the final analysis, it really is whether one is willing to part with the initial price offered. If you are not in urgency of getting rid of the car, you may want to consider waiting it out (several months) for a better price. Just my take.

What was ment as a gift to myself will financially destroy me.
Every day at work, I drive past massive "clutch.ca" (billboards talking about how easy, reliable, and stress-free buying a car from them is.
I honestly wish my experience matched the advertising.
The promises are impressive. The reality I received was not.
The vehicle arrived with issues that should have been caught before delivery. Communication became difficult once there was a problem. Calls went unanswered. Emails about returning the vehicle were ignored. Repairs have taken weeks to even get scheduled, and I’ve barely been able to use the car despite owning it for months.
Meanwhile, the advertising keeps telling people how different and modern the experience is supposed to be.
I’m not against online car buying. I actually liked the idea. But good marketing only goes so far if customer support disappears the second things become inconvenient.
Maybe others had a perfect experience. I genuinely hope they did.

They have very poor communication and lack of professionalism. My vehicle was automatically cancelled after I had gone through everything including getting the bank draft and insurance. Then they blame the technology, or poor coordination, etc instead of trying to make it right. Will never trust this place.
A predatory operation padded with fake reviews
Clutch is nothing less than a predatory operation that preys on individuals impulsivity while directly lying to your face.
Clutch claims: No hidden fees like dealerships. In fact, Clutch has multiple hidden fees that only appear once finalizing a purchase and this will drive the base price up nearly $6000, ultimately putting the vehicles about 15-20% higher than their market value.
Additionally, Clutch requires customers to purchase a $2000 "package" fee that offers nothing in terms of value or service, this is essentially the fee they will make you pay to take advantage of the 10 day return (something marketed as being an option at no cost).
Then we get to the highest automotive administration fee in ALL of Canada, sitting at $899.00 + tax.
Do the math, Clutch is a "New Canadian" operation with very predatory, scammy and scummy practices attempting to take advantage of Canadian citizens.
As a simple test, I processed an order without accepting finance terms (meaning im not obligated to purchase) and confirmed the aforementioned and then ran into the next issue: agents do not want to return your refundable deposit and this took numerous conversations to have done. Multiple agents lying about processing the cancellation while another team of agents is blowing of my phone to ensure the sale. Took nearly a week to resolve with threats of legal action.
Use some intelligence, spot the obvious red flags and bad practices and steer clear from this scam.

The whole selling experience was easy. Some on-line questions and data input, a quick phone call, sending in some photos. After the deal was made, we dropped the car off and that was easy and quick too.

I felt that "Clutch" gave me an honest price for my vehicle. Yes, I probably could have received more for the vehicle had I sold it privately but I didn't have the bother of advertising, detailing, safety check etc. I received a quote immediately after doing the online questions about the vehicle and that quote remained the same after I dropped the vehicle off at their site. I was in and out of their "Drop-off" location in 25 minutes. This was on Sunday of the "Victoria Day Weekend". I didn't expect the funds to be transferred until Tuesday at the earliest but I received the funds that same afternoon. All in all, a great experience. Thanks

Lovepreet Was Excellent — Clutch's Payout Process Was Not.
Mixed experience. Let me break it down honestly.
The good — Lovepreet earned every bit of praise:
1 Friendly, warm, never rushed
2 Walked me through Clutch's trade-in procedure clearly
3 Helped arrange my Uber rideshare home — well above expectations
4 Patient with every question, no jargon, no pressure
If this review were only about her, it would be 5 stars without hesitation.
The problem — Clutch's payout commitment:
I was told the e-transfer would hit my account within roughly 15 minutes. It landed after 2:00 AM the following day — more than 10 hours later.
That's not a small miss. That's a broken expectation.
And here's what made it worse: Not a single person from Clutch reached out to let me know the transfer was delayed. No call. No email. No text. I was left sitting in the dark, wondering if the money was even coming.
A two-minute heads-up would have changed everything.
The best part? I'm not blaming Lovepreet for this. She's a front-line rep repeating what Clutch trains her to say. If reps are quoting "15 minutes" while actual payouts take half a day
— with zero communication during the delay — that's a Clutch operational and training
problem, not an employee problem.
My recommendation to Clutch: Either fix the payout timing, or stop quoting 15 minutes.
And when something goes sideways — tell your customer. Silence is the fastest way to lose
trust.
My recommendation to customers: Ask for Lovepreet — she'll take excellent care of you.
But don't plan your day around the 15-minute payout promise, and don't expect anyone to
update you if it runs late.
