My partner and I really had a poor experience with this firm (Now trading under the name of 'MUVE' so please be aware).
The communication between us and the solicitors was horrendous. Delay after delay, stating 'we are working other cases' and my personal favourite 'why don't we chase the vendor's solicitors?'... Erm... that is YOUR job mate!
After daily chasing, I can finally say our move has been completed with miscalculations of refunds and monies owed.
Please consider carefully when choosing these to represent you. It was a long, stressful process that I am sure would have been simpler elsewhere.
Thanks

After a poor start with the company where we struggled to communicate with our solicitor on a regular basis, if at all and a feeling that the process was never moving along. 3 months in, we were provided with the service of Sarah Roberts who performed more work in 2 weeks, than the previous lawyer on the case had in 3 months. She provided us with all the details and documents necessary and communicated with us regularly and well to help us understand where we were with the exchange. A massive thank you to her.

After an appalling start with this company, thanks to two people who are no longer working there, I have nothing but the highest praise for Sarah Roberts. She has been helpful, professional and very prompt.

Connect2Law completed my shared ownership purchase, my solicitor Noel was helpful and made the process clear for a first time buyer. The price was reasonable, with no unexpected costs on completion.

Good customer service in our recent dealings with them.
I chose to use Connect2Law for my flat purchase and lease extension as they provided an online tracker facility and were good value for money.
Initially the process went smoothly and I could track updates via the client portal, but as the time came closer to exchange I could not contact my conveyancing solicitor Karen. It was discovered she had abruptly left Connect2Law which threatened to derail my property purchase.
I was assigned a new conveyancing solicitor Muhammad, his efficiency and professionalism was 2nd to none. Muhammad got us to a position of exchange within 4 days and we completed 2 weeks later.
I would use this service again, but would ensure I had contact with my assigned conveyancing solicitor from an earlier date to ensure there were no hiccups that could derail the process.
Reasonable experience could have been done quicker as buyer was prepared to complete in 28days of offer. All emails were dealt with quickly and help was given with answering questions from buyers.
I can honestly say dealing with Connect2Law was a truly horrendous experience. I leave this review in the hope that people read it and choose another firm for their conveyancing, because I wouldn't wish the levels of frustration and anxiety I experienced dealing with these guys on my worst enemy.
Connect2Law represented us for the sale of our property, and the ineptitude of this firm delayed the process significantly. Dreadful communication stalled progress for months; it was impossible to get a clear answer to anything we asked; impossible to speak directly to a solicitor when we needed to; we were passed from one solicitor and case manager to another; we had complaints from estate agents and the buyer's solicitors about their lack of replies to communications; when we complained and had a manager deal with us, we were lied to and finally had to get a company director involved, and even with this, progress was very slow.
Months after everything was completed (or so we thought), issues arose with Land Registry as the firm had paperwork outstanding with our bank.
Despite the delays and us having to make two formal complaints, we were still charged the full amount (which wad actually more than they had originally quoted us).
Save yourself a lot of heartache and stay well away from this firm.

Had a very pleasant experience with Connect2Law. Fantastic service with quick responses to emails. Everything on time, would recommend!
I had a difficult and distressing experience when I engaged with Connect2Law.
I experienced the following issues:
1. I found it extremely difficult to contact my solicitor and account manager. I had to send multiple emails to get any response from them and even then the response used to be unsatisfactory. Furthermore, when I contacted them over the phone, I was rarely able to speak to them. I used to leave messages for them and request for a call back. But I never received any call back from them on my messages.
2. In the initial client care letter, I was advised that I will be charged a fixed fee. However, at the time of completion, I have been overcharged by more than £300.
3. There were several instances when there was mis-communication from my accounts manager.
4. It has been more than 50 days since completion of the property has taken place and yet post completion activities (including informing the appropriate stakeholders) have not been performed by Connect2Law.
5. I found that they used to advise something that they would complete a particular task by a certain date but then they were not able to deliver on their words.
I regret selecting Connect2Law as my solicitors for the purchase of my property.
Following my purchase through Connect2Law we then moved on to sale of previous property. I must again extend my heartfelt thanks to Laura and Debbie for their skill and professionalism in completing the sale of my property. Their dedication and commitment was outstanding, they didn’t mind how many questions I asked and always made time for me. It has always been a joy to speak to Laura and Debbie and I will miss speaking to them. Connect2Law are very lucky to have these two terrific, super capable ladies as employees.
We used Connect2Law for our first home and had an overall decent experience.
To start with everything was clear, well explained and smooth, with only downside being that their offices are not open on the weekend so we needed to go to visit them during the week for ID check.
As the processes continued the lawyer (Ranjala) was great at keeping attention to detail and having our interest in the first place. All the paperwork was professional and to the point. Our questions were also fairly timely answered although we had to chase on a couple of occasions - perhaps partly due to our impatience.
To improve the experience further our suggestion would be for the account manager (Alice) to be more involved and provide regular updates directly (over the phone or in person) rather than emails. Especially for first time buyers as there many things to learn about the processes, for example how dates for exchange vs completion work.
Finally it was good to see that the final price matched the estimate and there wasn't anything hidden. Although there was attempt to charge us for exchange and completion being less than 5 days apart, but after our challenge Connect2Law confirmed it is not due, which was good to see.
All in all, good price for value and a few more tweaks it can become excellent.
Connect2law is a very serios company, very serios solicitors! I would recomend connect2law to everyone! Thanks connect2law For your hard work
Connect2law is a very serios company, very serios solicitors! I would recomend connect2law to everyone! Thanks connect2law
It has been a real pleasure dealing with a professional Law Firm who bent over backwards to get my remortgage completed on time and in particular my Solicitor Muhammad who was monitoring my case when abroad as well as having a dedicated Account Manager which helped immensely.
I found connect2law to be very professional and efficient .
I would not have any hesitation in using this company again.
Very helpful and kept me informed all the way, would like to say a extra thank you to Muhammad who was very good !!
I instructed connect2law on the 17th January to act on my behalf for a purchase of a flat (no chain). They weren't the cheapest but were fairly local and on my lenders panel, so I hoped that they would serve me well.
They were quick and proactive at the quoting/initial payment stage but it deteriorated quickly with them sending me another customers welcome pack that included personal and sensitive information about their purchase!
The proposed exchange/completion was after 6th April, due to the property being tenanted on a 2 month notice period. Connect2law's own client care letter sent to us states that in cases like ours, of 1 seller & 1 buyer, i.e. no chain, that it can take 8 weeks between offer accepted to exchanging.
We are now in our 17th week and are still without any indication about what is remaining to be done or when we can expect to exchange / complete. Communication and updates have been extremely poor. No proactive updates or warnings of delays have been received. I have had to chase for everything. I have been told I cannot have my solicitors phone number, they have wrongly blamed me for causing a delay (which their co-founder / director conceded was not correct and the delay was in fact theirs). The only time I felt I got an adequate response was when I copied the founders into my emails, after this my account manager decided to make his first phone call to me (almost 3 months after connect2law was instructed).
Our intention was to be moved by the end of April, as we have our first baby due at the end of May. I have been forced to extend my current tenancy for an additional two months due to the lack progress or prospect of an exchange date. I'm now concerned that even this two-month extension will not be enough.
I have been asking for a meaningful update since the 25th April. My request and reminders were ignored. I was finally given a reply on the 7th May. It was a holding message, stating “I can confirm from reviewing your file that we are currently reviewing the replies and shall be responding shortly towards them.”
They are incapable to advise me what replies have been received, what replies are outstanding or what further enquires need to be sent. Instead my solicitor has referred me to the Head of Operations. I suspect my solicitor is stalling as he doesn’t have time to look at my file.
The vendors agents have passed the purchase to a special sales progression team due to the length of time that this simple purchase is taking. I have received more updates and information from that team than from my own solicitors.
I therefore echo many similar reviews that mention experiences of delays, lack of communication and high stress due to connect2law’s poor performance. Unfortunately, I’m trapped with them until my purchase completes. I however thankfully warned off my brother when he asked me about my solicitors. He started the process in early March. Despite selling his home and buying another and being in a chain of 4 transactions, he’s due to complete at the end of May.
Frankly, I have better things to do than spend time chasing for updates and writing this review. I have a sick and heavily pregnant wife to look after and a baby to prepare for. Unfortunately connect2law has driven me to this and consistently added to my stress over the past 5 months.
Edit 10th May: I have had a lengthy chat with the Head of Operations this afternoon who has promised to meet with the people handling my file and update me tomorrow. I look forward to positive and constructive progress from this intervention.
Edit 12th June:
So over a month has passed since my review. I wish that I could say that it has been a positive experience. Lack of communication and delays have continued, and several mistakes have crept in.
We finally received contract and registry documents to sign in mid-May, typically during the period I had feared when my wife had to undergo an early c-section due to a serious health issues. We therefore understandably took a bit of time to review and return these documents. We found several inconsistencies with our names on the documents, which we had to correct and return. We also transferred our deposit when we returned the documents by next-day delivery. I asked from the solicitor to confirm safe receipt of the documents and deposit money. It took 5 days, several emails, phone calls and finally escalation to the founders of the company before anyone replied to confirm the documents and deposit money had been received. During this time both my account manager and solicitor changed without notice.
The vendor, there agents and their solicitors were also chasing daily as none of them had been able to reach our solicitors during this period either.
The new solicitor has been responsive, and we finally exchanged on the 6th June. 138 days after this no-chain, simple purchase was initiated. It was therefore with much shock that I read last Friday that connect2law was rebranding to Muve from Monday and that they were promoting that they would guarantee to exchange on simple, chain-free purchases or your fee will be refunded! I feel that on-paper my purchase would have been a good candidate for this new product. In reality, I have no idea how they will achieve this.
As we near completion tomorrow, I'm dealing with further issues with connect2law/muva. My previously assigned solicitor seemingly didn't do the proper due diligence with our file. Both the day of exchange and today, the day before completion I have had the stress of having to go back to my lender to have them reissue new mortgage offers (after repeating credit checks) as connect2law have only now spotted discrepancies in the offer that we originally provide them in January (one was a small discrepancy with the full name of my wife and the other was a small discrepancy in the address of the property we are buying). It's clear that the details had not been checked before and everything was left to the last minute.
Finally, if anyone currently engaged with connect2law / Muve is reading this, make sure to carefully go over your final statement before paying. In mine I noted that my initial payment hadn't been accounted for and the goodwill gesture offered by the Head of Operations after my previous complaint was absent. I have been trying to contact the Head of Operations since Monday by email and phone, but he has ignored my various attempts. I have now been told he had left the company. I think it must have been very recent, as he was said to be in a meeting this morning. I’m forced to pay the final statement in order to avoid further delay to my completion tomorrow. I fully intend to pursue an explanation from connect2law / Muve management.
Edit 13th June:
I have had confirmation today that we have finally completed and we will be able to collect our keys later. This is 2 days shy of 6 months since our offer was accepted.
After a discussion with Claus Werner, the CSO, yesterday afternoon, the issues with my final statement has hopefully been explained/corrected and I await a refund of the difference. Despite the many faults listed above, I do appreciate that the management will eventually look into complaints and reach out to dissatisfied customers. I do however feel that the company are taking on too much work than they can manage and clients like us suffer delays, stress and extra expense due to it.
I have decided to up my star rating from 1 to 2 stars only due to the excellent work that the newly appointed solicitor Sarah Roberts, has done in the 10 days that she has had our file. I'm sure if she was appointed to our file from the beginning, then I feel that we would have had completed significantly earlier and without the mistakes, delays, extra expense and extreme stress that we have suffered.
I intend to update my review further once the post-completion work is finished.
As a first time buyer, buying a repossessed property, with a seller imposed completion of 21 days, I needed a fast service and, as it turned out, someone to hold my hand along the way.
My initial inquiry was handled by Tarik with a clear quotation.
My account manager, Sulaiman Jaffri, made the introduction process quick and easy. He understood the urgency. With preliminary paperwork and checks in, we were quickly allocated a solicitor. Mr. Gurmak Singh was assigned late in the afternoon, but within a few hours I received an introductory call. He had already reviewed the papers and my case was complicated; multiple charges registered against the property, plus major arrears and just 3 working days before exchange and a further 7 days to complete. Gurmak was ready in time on both counts. The other side was not.
In the event, it took the seller 31 days to complete. I understand this is fast, but Sulaiman and Gurmak kept me promptly informed throughout, always responding to my queries and my [constant gentle] nudging, applying commensurate but escalating pressure on the other side to progress.
The sellers delays were very frustrating, but as a first-time buyer with a challenging transaction, I could not have hoped for a better service. I’d give an extra star if I could, and Connect2Law provided this at a very reasonable rate.

I have engaged with them and paid the fee on 28th Feb 2019 for a purchasing my first home and my feedback about them is terrible. During the sales cycle they promised the moon and 8 weeks closure with dedicated account manager.
We are first time buyer with deposit & mortgage already in place. This should have been easy exercise but has caused me lot of stress due poor customer service at Connect2Law.
They don't explain the process very well and at what stage things will happen. Whereas I understand Connect2Law have policies and procedure you need to follow but it can be daunting as the portal is ok but not exhaustive to explain the process very well.
There has been ongoing issues with delayed responses, there is back-end legal support team that does initial searches etc and I have experienced them sharing same material and again where correspondence without any clear instructions. This has me reaching out to the account manager to explain if there were any actions pending with me. After a few follow up I was able to get to get a response. Please be advised it's usual for days to elapse before you will hear back from them.
The seller solicitors and estate agents have complained to me during the course of transaction about lack/delayed acknowledgement and correspondence from my solicitors. I had to cut a sorry face due to this.
2nd April 2019 - I finally I got a conveyancing solicitor but did not share her contact details like phone number or email address. I received this after I had to chase up the account manager. I subsequently got details on the next steps, progress made. I told her I have the RICS Level 3 report and there are multiple queries to be raised. This was done and seller solicitor provided response timely but again ball is dropped and no information shared with me whether response had been received from seller side. I got escalation from my seller and I had to follow up on this.
11th April 2019 - First time gave them poor feedback on Trust Pilot I got a call from their operations head and he confirmed that I shall see a marked improvement on the services provided. Basis his commitment I was asked to take down my survey which I did. There was some improvement in correspondence and response.
However the overall experience is turning poor in the last couple of weeks as we head towards exchange & completion. Few instances where I do not see the experience in the solicitor assigned to me and have my queries addressed to my satisfaction.
The customer service mentality is missing and are hidden behind faceless people who pick calls even though work number of the your assigned solicitor is listed in Customer portal and then advise that your Solicitor is busy and will get back to you. However call is not returned.
29th April 2019 - I escalated my issues to my account manager during this week and again dropped an email to their operations head again yesterday 2nd May. I did not hear back from him and finally I have posted this feedback on TrustPilot again.
I echo the feedback from “Lydia KnowsNothing” who has rated them below.
3rd May - Received call from the operations head today and after a lengthy call he explained the company processes and ways of working. For my ongoing issues he informed that this shall be addressed and I should see marked improvement in correspondence and work done. Hoping for best as we head towards exchange and completion.
