I would be very wary about using Connect2Law for any conveyancing work. I used them to sell my late mother's house, and the sale did go through it was quite a painful process. Luckily for me it was fairly straightforward sale, as I'm not convinced that Connect2Law would have dealt with any issues promptly. At times it was almost impossible to get hold of them - I had very frustrated estate agents sale progression teams on the phone to me several times as they were struggling to get any response from my solicitor. My solicitor changed three times during the sale, which didn't help. And when there were some minor issues with missing planning permission for an extension, I had to remind my solicitor on several occasions on the resolution that had already been agreed.
They provided a portal which supposedly allowed me to keep up to speed with progress of the sale, but the information provided was very limited, confusing and usually woefully out of date. I gave up trusting it very early on.
A very frustrating process, and in hindsight I wished I'd spent a bit more on a local solicitor that I had used in the past, that provided a far more presonal service. I'm giving two stars, as ultimately the sale did complete in a relatively short timeframe, but be wary.

I would recommend Connect2Law and Mr Gurmak Singh following my dealings with them in connection with the sale of my late mother's property. Professional, courteous and helpful throughout the process it was all concluded efficiently and without fuss.
If there was an option for zero stars I would have selected it. Not sure where to start with this?!!! zero contact from the start, not sure who was actually dealing with our case the whole way through, impossible to get hold of via email or phone. I am due to complete my purchase tomorrow and I am sat here very unsure if this will happen as my solicitor here (Mithrika) is so incompetent. I used this firm for my house sale and am purchasing a property through a local firm, the level of service can't even be compared. After a shocking level of service all along we were given our bill last week and found not only had we been charged for the solicitor having to deal with the solicitor for my house purchase (this was only necessary because Mithrika broke the chain by not informing everyone in the chain of the exchange of contract) but having spent hours going through all the sums found we had been over charged, this has now been with the payments team for a week and we still haven't had a response and we're due to move tomorrow. I have three young children and a move is a stressful time anyway but this firm have made things a million times more difficult than it needed to be. I advise anyone reading this to stay away from this firm and its cowboy solicitors, turns out they weren't even a cheaper option than my local firm because of all the hidden extras.
I have never been recommended a solicitor. In fact, anyone I asked said they wouldn't dream of recommending their solicitor.
This is why I feel very thankful to have had Mr Gurmak Singh at Connect2Law as my solicitor!! I received no difficulties at all with Gurmak, I thought we was brilliant from start to finish.
Connect2 Law has an online portal which is really helpful and updated all the time. It tells you which stage of the process you are at and what comes next, as well as uploaded documents and contact details.
I never had to chase a response and was talked through everything step by step - Gurmak would be available to speak almost any time without an issue. As a first time buyer I found this really helpful and I cannot recommend highly enough :)

Brilliant service. Laura & Debbie were very helpful in guiding me through the sale of my apartment, They were always there to answer questions and concerns from me. Selling a property is always an ordeal & a nerve wrecking experience until completion but these two ladies made the whole journey run as smoothly as possible albeit there were slight holdups on the way. I would not hesitate to recommend this company because of Debbie and Laura.
29/03 There are communication, maladministration and timeliness issues with this firm but my biggest red line is the unacceptable delays caused by a combination of inefficient processes and understaffing.
Connect2Law have an admin team that carry out initial searches and collect the results along with the mortgage offer, draft contract, management pack etc. and then hand that file over to a conveyancer when it’s complete. Makes sense? Trouble is, my file has been complete now for 3 weeks, and I’ve only just been allocated a conveyancer after calling almost everyday to chase up when this would actually happen. Then when I finally spoke to the conveyancer they’d allocated he told me that he would not even be opening my file for another week because he has a backlog to deal with first. So it’s been 2 months since I first instructed Connect2Law and they have done zero conveyancing work for me (and don’t appear likely to do any anytime soon!)
The only silver lining is that’s it’s no sale no fee so I’m looking to change to a different firm. For anyone else in this position with Connect2Law I highly recommend a google search for ‘How to change conveyancing solicitors.’
UPDATE 01/04: My Account Manager Sulaiman has just emailed me to say they can 'expedite' my case if I pay an extra £360.
UPDATE 02/04: They have noticed this review, and promised that if I take it down they will ‘expedite’ my case without a fee. My account manager has told me that this could mean exchange this week and completion by 18/04. I’ve taken it down.
UPDATE 17/04: There is still no satisfactory outcome to my case so I'm reposting the original review. The original promise that taking their offer could mean exchange within a week and completion by my preferred date quite quickly transpired to be an outright lie, which my account manager has now denied all knowledge of ever making. In the meantime I have been told I need to pay £5k in stamp duty that I don't, been asked to resend documents I sent to them in February and they've only just got around to checking, been told they can't proceed because they are waiting for documents from me that I've already sent them and they've already confirmed receipt of, had my name spelt incorrectly twice on documents that they've sent over to me and not received any way near the level of actual advice that you would expect from a solicitor. They have also been objectively quite rude.
As I was an attorney I was reliant on the help and advice from Laura who chased up the buyer's solicitor whenever it was needed in order for us to get a successful completion.
Very happy with the service we received from connect2law. Debbie & Laura kept us informed every step of the way&were quick to respond to any queries. Thank you for the fast and friendly service.
Excellent service received from both Debbie and Laura, always kept informed both by telephone and email.
Cannot thank them enough for the smooth sale.
Terrible company! As I expected, after seeing my review on line now they doubt I’m their customer, they say they don’t have my details in their records!!
Please STAY AWAY fron Connect2law, it’s nothing else than just waste of time, money and lots of stress.

I would be keen to use Stephanie Hodgson again. Once she was assigned to my case she explained the whole process well.
Whereas I understand Connect2Law have policies and procedure you need to follow I didnt feel that the customer service side was great. Onboarding was quick and efficient but on number on occasions when I required an update emails to the legal support teams went unanswered and the whole process of trying to speak to anyone when I wanted an update was frustrating. When calling Connect2Law the phones often just rang with no answer. When an agent answered it felt impersonal and that there didn’t seem to be any rush or being told that messaged were passed on and then I heard nothing back.
Saying that, Stephanie was great to deal with.
Laura Unite was truly excellent, super responsive, helpful, answered all of our questions and was generally lovely to deal with. Stuart Tite was also very quick to onboard us at the very beginning, which was appreciated as we had to demonstrate to our sellers that we could move quickly. A few teething issues at the beginning before we were dealing with named individuals (the same questions/document requests being made repeatedly after they'd been answered). But once we moved passed that phase I couldn't have asked for better service, highly recommended.

We had a very difficult sale of my mothers property due to numerous issues, not least her condition, third party charges against the property, P.O.A. and myself being overseas. As far as I am concerned both Laura Unite and Debbie Podjacki went over and above the norm in enabling a satisfactory completion to the sale. I have over the years bought and sold a number of properties but have never received the attention, professionalism and assistance given to me by Laura and Debbie

Absolutely useless, the only time anything happens is when you chase them. 7 months and we are no closer to exchange despite it being a clean simple deal. The person handling the account (Stuart) always has to call you back as he never knows what's happening, makes promises he doesn't keep - stay the hell away

Initially, I was impressed with the service provided and at a competitive price. There was good communication throughout, although most of this was instigated by myself, but we received prompt and useful replies to questions we had.
Our solicitor, Adam worked very hard for us, with a few issues/delays coming from the other side. His effort and knowledge was fantastic.
However upon receiving the completion statement, we were overcharged by more than £700! Some fees stated were included in the charges multiple times, the initial payment to start the process was not taken into account, among various differently named charges that we were not aware of. After multiple times contacting people about this the fees were corrected, but the answers we were getting were not helpful, friendly nor very apologetic, despite them being completely at fault. As if I wasn't going to query the price...
We did feel pressure to pay even with the doubts in the bill, due to fear of the sale falling through. And this being first time we were eager to get it done.
At the end it all went through and in good time, but with experiencing a few issues we would be cautious using them again.
EDIT- Connect 2 Law head of operations has since personally contacted us and has apologised for the issues that happened at the end of our process. I was impressed by the effort that they have gone to, to try and make up for the problems that we faced and I think it is fair to say they have gone above and beyond to try and make amends.
Excellent service from all the staff. Noel in particular who handled the conveyance work was superb.
I would recommend Connect2law over your local traditional high street Solicitor any day of the week.
Excellent service from account manager Debbie and lawyer Laura – I would recommend this company to anyone.
Used Connect2Law recently, chose this company as they were recommended to me via my estate agent, had no major issues with them and consider they progressed my property sale professionally and efficiently, to a successful conclusion.
Please keep away from them. I choose them to carry on sale of my flat. The lack of response, they promise that I will get dedicated manager Abdul, this person never had contacted me even I requested. Housing Association tried to get contact with contact2law regarding proof of payment for management pack - no response for 4 weeks until I was involved, Estate Agency tried to contact too - lack of response. Connect2Law asking for documents which they ware already sent. Lack of professionalism.
On the end of the day I lost the buyer.
It was very bad experience, now everything explained why Connect2Law is cheep compare to others. Cheep service = poor service!!
Please keep away.
Adam at connect2law was very helpful and was able to deal with our conveyancing process efficiently and fast. Overall I was very pleased with the service.
