Have been very impressed with Adam and the team at Connect2law. Dealt with the sale of my late Mothers flat very efficiently. Kept us informed at all stages of the process and whenever I called for information, it did not matter who I spoke to they always had the information to hand. There were a few issues with this sale ( nothing to do with connect2law) but Adam and the team sorted them out quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend this firm.

We had a very lengthy process involving multiple buyers dropping out and multiple offers on prospective sales each having their own complications, Laura showed resilience and gave essential advise, and pulled it out of the bag on the day, working to really tight time constraints to enable us finally to complete last Friday!

Just purchased our first home using Connect2law. We were represented by Laura who was very courteous, informative and ensured any queries we had were answered. The whole process took 10 weeks and would have taken much longer had we not had someone like Laura on the case. Would recommend this company. The only thing that could be better is the provision of one combined pack of documents upon completion. Information throughout the process was transmitted via numerous emails . It would have been nice rather than having to trawl through emails to have everything issued as a pack upon completion so that when we sell again we have one document with everything in the one place.

Clear and simple conveyancing.
The service provided was really good and clear.
What they quoted in the first place it's what they charged at the end (don't always get that with conveyors).
They assigned an account manager so I was always kept in the loop.
Everything was throughly checked and I believed they look for my best interest.

I had a tricky sales process. Connect2Law were patient and knowledgeable. This made the process much less stressful than it might have been. And they were better value than the other conveyancers that I considered. Overall a great job done - thank you to Dan and team - one very happy customer.

Just wanted to add to my earlier review because since our completion Connect2Law handled a very difficult post-completion issue for us very well. This is the bit of the process that comes with the Land Registry and it can be really difficult sometimes. We had an issue over a charge that needed removing and it was all handled really well even thought the Land Registry creates so much delay. I am amazed that Connect2Law do so much additional work within their fees - it took hours and hours to get the issue sorted. I have heard that some people can be bogged down for years with Land Regitsry issues so we were very lucky. I would like to thank the team at Connect2Law for all they did and now we are able to relax knowing that there are no problems with our ownership of the property. I am thinking of using them again for a Buy to Let purchase that is coming up for me which will raise evern more issues. It is good to know that there is an option out theere to get good advice at really reasonable rates. What do estate agents do for their fee by the way? Nothing as far as I can work out.

Excellent experience. Just bought a new property with them and all was quick, efficient, no fuss. I have had some bad experience with my local conveyancing firm so was interested to see how these guys are getting on - feels like a step-change. Key difference is that you know what's going on and it's not just a black box and you wait about the end of the process without updates. Would recommend them!

Update

So, as you can see from the response below in CAPS they are now saying that this has completed in 8 weeks. Not true at all.

They are saying we wouldn’t know the full ins and outs but we have been in close contact with our buyers directly and understand exactly what is going on.

We haven’t even exchanged let alone completed in 8 weeks.

Jennifer from Connect2Law went on holiday last week and didn’t even bother telling their own client even though she knew exchange needed to happen last week.

They still do not even acknowledge our solicitor when he asks questions or tries to get hold of anyone there.

It’s an outright lie that the process has completed.

I thought I would update on a new review so it actually gets read.

So we seem to still be far from exchange even though we have said multiple times now that this we must be exchanged by this Friday 24/10.

You still cannot get hold of these people on the phone and it now turns out the person dealing with our buyers case has now gone on holiday and not let anyone in the chain know!!!

No one can get hold of them to find out what is happening. They refuse to take calls and will not respond to emails asking who has taken over the case.

We have now lost all hope unfortunately off getting complete. Words completely fail me for how bad at communicating these people are.

As much as I hope things will change for Friday, without them answering calls or emails we are completely in the dark and our dream home is lost because of this completely inept "business".

I will start this by saying that we are not the people using them. We are unfortunate enough that our buyers decided to use them.

We originally set dates to exchange in September which was agreed by all parties involved. Our solicitor had done everything in his power to get the dates met.

It started to ring alarm bells a while back when it turns out that they have sat on documents that were originally sent over for 43 days. We wanted an explanation for why this happened yet would just receive emails back with generic questions such as asking if we have an exchange date in mind. We have now missed 4 dates that have been set by our new home builders and are currently extremely worried that all of this will fold not because of the people in the chain but Connect2Law themselves. They have never come back explain why they had not done anything with the documents for 43 days.

When emailing Jennifer at Connect2Law you can expect generally a wait of at least 4 days for a reply, which will then usually not answer the questions you have asked and end with the generic “please give us dates you wish to exchange”. You cannot get hold of these people on telephone either. Even if you reply straight away to their email asking a very simple question you can be prepared to wait for at least a few days.

We thought at first that our buyers were the ones slowing things down. Turns out it is their solicitor, the people who should be pushing their purchase and sale through for them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Through various conversations with our solicitor and estate agent, we have found out that they have been telling one thing to them and the buyers (their client) another. Not professional at all.

All enquiries we answered immediately by our solicitor. These were then sat on for a about 10 days, and when it came to a couple of days before we thought we were exchanging they sent out even more enquiries (even though they had said that all enquiries we resolved!) We knew immediately that this meant our solicitor would send the enquiries off straight away and then have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for any type of reply (still waiting!) meaning we would not exchange. Since then we have had ultimatums from our new home developers. Ultimatums which would mean we lose a lot of money should the chain collapse. These have been pretty much ignored and we are now in the same situation of waiting days at a time for any type of reply from Connect2Law via our solicitor. We understand that our buyers are now at their wits end with this company as well, as they will not speak to them on the phone or give them any updates on their case and the whole chain is about to collapse due to this company.

I could not recommend anyone use this company at all but I would also warn potential sellers to look out and be prepared should they see that their buyer is using them.

So, a quick update from my main review.

We were sent over a couple of emails from the buyers. It turns out that Connect2Law are only just responding to enquiries that were raised on 31st August (40+ days ago). Appalling. One of questions regarding stair casing was supposed to have been sorted out weeks and weeks ago and it appears from the email that this was only requested on Friday. We were told weeks ago by our solicitor that due to the nature of the request it can usually take weeks to come back so that is us - so we feel it we are pretty much screwed.

I have to ask why these people cannot pick up the phone to make a request for the information rather than just email all the time. Emails can (and will as has been shown) be easily ignored, whereas a phone call should push the person to respond quicker. I don’t know, maybe that just me working with my clients every day, but always request information over the phone first followed with an email confirming the conversation you just had! Its pretty standard practice when you are working with clients with a lot at risk!

What annoyed me most was the end of one email sent on Friday asking if we have a completion date in mind. Yes Jennifer we do, 4 weeks ago when you first asked and ignored it. Then 3 weeks ago when you ignored it and the 2 weeks ago which was completely ignored.

We MUST exchange this week otherwise our seller will pull out, but based on the further information I have seen this does not look possible as we have now gone back to the stage of phone calls being ignored and emails too and there is not a hope in hell of getting the information requested looked over in time. We have also just had an update from our estate agent that they are ignoring her calls too. I’m sure if enquiries were responded to quicker and documents were requested when they should have been WEEKS AGO we would not be in this awful situation.

My husband and i found connect2law by doing several searches on the internet, looking for reviews and positive comments. Eventhough reading bad reviews about them we decided to go for it. We had previously experienced issues with former solicitors and had the hope connect2law would take the bad feelings away and help to finalize our case in the best way. We are very glad we did ! We chose them because they are based in London, near us. We visited their office twice and couldn't be more pleased ! All employees are kind and it is worth saying that our allocated solicitor Adam Shire is a star, great asset to the team. Hard worker, always responded to emailed and showed knowledge on what he was doing. Our account manager was nice in the beginning when she introduced herself however it was a bit difficult to reach her afterwards . I called few times after they received our mortgage offer, it took a while for them to have Adam allocated to our case but once they did.... all went well and smooth. Very pleased with the company. We already recommended to friends and will continue doing so to whoever needs a conveyance firm. 👍🤞 Rebeca

Just exchanged on my new home in Kent. Geoffrey was my conveyancer but I liaised with a few others at Connect2law during the case and everyone has been friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend their service.

Good value too. I paid the fixed fee agreed at the start of the purchase. The only added fee was a small charge for an indemnity which had to be put in place to protect us but that was fair enough as that issue only materialised late on.

I reviewed lots of firms online before choosing this one. Lots of solicitors have very bad ratings and then a few had 9.9s which I was very sceptical of! Connect2Law's reviews were good without being suspicious! I also learnt to avoid estate agent reviews as they have their own agenda.

Like others i have gone online to find a solicitor to oversee my house move.
I thought that using connect2Law was a good option as like others i received the phone call from a lady promising that it is a seamless operation. I actually feel now like i am a idiot for falling for it.
It is the case that you never can any communication unless you send angry emails if you eventually get through by phone i say this because there is a voice mail telling you there is a high volume of calls never leave a message as nobody rings you back
The conveyance stage is what i only can discribe as horrendous the people you speak to seem to have no idea on where you are in the process they miss quote you information get things entirely wrong bearing in mind you have sent them the information prior.
Once this stage is finished you are assigned a solicitor again unless you write a angry email you are will NOT GET ANY ACTION
You are told of milestone dates these come and go.
I see from other views that the situation is that the solicitors are over stretched so you take your chances on workloads
I am paying the going rate for this and feel i am doing most of the chasing

I see that other people have had good experience can i please have my move transferred to the solicitor who was dealing for them

Connect2Law did the conveyance in connection with the sale of my property. From the beginning I was well informed of what was going on and progress was very fast as my solicitor was very speedy in progressing matters. They helped my partner and I move very quickly. We had left our previous firm of solicitors because we were unhappy with the service and we were not expecting much better but we were very pleasantly surprised. They seem to have a very good set of processes that move things along quickly. Sometimes feels a bit impersonal but for me just getting on with was the main thing.

Very communicative until you commit to using them, then you can't get hold of them for love nor money. Took over 2 months with no proper contact, they even stopped sending the pre-prepared email replies until we guessed the email addresses of senior management and finally got a response. Huge stress and we missed our completion date.

I have used Connect2Law for conveyancing services over the past months. I have to say that I have been very pleased to work with Laura Unite and her colleague Klaudia Gozdz. Both have been always helpful and ready to clarify any questions that I had either via email or telephone, very pleased witht heir services. I would definitely recommend them or use them again.

3rd time moving and 1st time with Connect2Law. Purchase completed within timescale we had expected. Simple process, no complicated legal jargon, portal was regularly updated and on the odd time I needed to call, my lawyer was always able to speak with me.
