My brother and I received excellent service from Connect2Law when selling our late mother's warden assisted property earlier this year. Their knowledge of this type of property and the specific covenants that have to be considered was very useful when engaging with the buyer's solicitor.

I can not recommend Laura Unite at Connect2Law highly enough. She was with us from the beginning to the end of our process, working tirelessly and fearlessly to protect our interests and complete the purchase. Our solicitor Laura Unite worked really hard to push our sale through. There were complications further up the chain and our buyers were making demands. Laura handled all this professionally and made sure we got to completion without going completely mad.

When it became necessary to sell my mother’s retirement apartment, I opted to avail myself of the services of ‘Retirement Homesearch’, mainly because of their expertise in acting as estate agents for buyers and sellers of such properties. It was this company that suggested using ‘Connect2Law’ to carry out the legal side of the sale. It seemed to be a sensible solution, particularly as links were already established between the two organisations – I felt that the process would be as stress-free as possible.

In the initial stages I received generic emails from a legal team. Thereafter I was assigned a named conveyancer who dealt with the process. The sale went ahead smoothly with only limited input on my part. Occasionally I received phone calls to seek clarification about a particular matter although these were far and few between. I was notified when exchange of contracts was likely to occur. There was a false start here (I understand this was a glitch on the part of the buyer’s legal people) but it happened a little later. The monies were soon transferred and I received a clear statement of account a little later, showing me the financial breakdown of the sale (including the apportioning of ground rent, services charges etc). The conveyancer who dealt with the sale was Joe Calado, who I found to be personable and helpful. He responded quickly by email or telephone to any query I had.

I had not read reviews on any of the usual sites before opting to employ ‘Connect2Law’. Had I done so I might have been somewhat put off. However I can truthfully say that I was delighted with how smoothly the process went, and how little involvement I needed to have with the sale.

Initially I thought I would live to regret choosing Connect2Law. Why organise a Welcome call after agreeing to take my business, and then put me on the phone with a lady who had NO idea about anything, wasn't a solicitor or conveyancer, and could not give me any answer to any of my questions?!
And then my luck changed when I was assigned a new solicitor - Adam Shire - who went above and beyond with thoroughness and forensic analysis of all legal work related to my purchase. He was super-efficient, prompt with replies and calls to update me, patient with all my questions, and very thorough.
If it hadn't been for the poor start and that Welcome call that did my head in, I would have given this firm a 5*.

I used Connect2Law to sell my mothers' apartment following her death earlier this year. Overall I received a very efficient and timely service from the company and the sale was completed in quick time. Although communication was all done via e mail this was never a problem as it was always carried out promptly and efficiently right up to the point of contract exchange.

Be prepared to deal with a team rather than one person so there will be documents missed and information misunderstood. Calls rarely go through and when they do the information may or may not be correct - same with emails. 2 months from signing up I got cold feet due to the above and lack of progress with my purchase and sale, they progressed the de-instruction and refund fairly quick.

Overall connect2 law gave good value for money service and we have used them twice as the first sale fell through on exchange day due to buyers fault. We were not charged for conveyancy due to no sale no fee and felt sorry for Mustafa who was very good in keeping us informed and kept in touch with us well. On our second attempt the purchase and sale ran smoothly overall but contact was sometimes difficult as our conveyancer Stephanie did not respond to all our emails or phone calls which made us nervous.
I would recommend Connect2law but be prepared to spend some time chasing for information as contact is not always straight forward.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE

First home buyer, to us the whole process seemed a bit daunting and confusing at the beginning. Jennifer from connect2law was a pleasure to work with and made every step of the process easy and understandable.
Communication was perfect and I am glad to say that we got the best service we could wish for.

I used Connect2Law to do the conveyancing on a flat I was buying. Having had a few frustrating experiences over the years with conveyancors I was wearily expecting more of the same, but I was pleasantly surprised with the solicitor assigned to my case.

I found him very diligent and thorough. The purchase involved a leasehold property with the extra complications entailed and he was extremely careful to ensure that concerns were responded to fully and accurately in the face of prevarications and ambiguity from the other side. He kept me up to date with developments and was happy to discuss the finer points of the case with me in depth, often responding out of normal office hours in order to get the purchase completed as soon as possible.

The only downside was the difficulty in getting through on the phone sometimes. However, when it counted most towards completion of the transaction I was kept fully abreast of developments.

In short, a very positive experience in a potentially stressful transaction - Connect2Law were thorough, diligent and communicative.

We had a really good experience with Adam Shire acting for us for conveyancing. We found the initial process of being processed by the legal admin team a little strange, but also very responsive when we had questions; when we called or emailed we always received a response and everything done by email was quick and easy. The online tracking wasn't always quite up to date, but once Adam took the case on we were updated regularly and Adam was easy to get hold of by email and phone. We found our sale/purchase dragged on little due to issues caused by both our vendor and our purchaser and Adam's expertise and reassurance made any stress points much easier to deal with than our previous buying experience. We'd happily use Connect2Law again and especially would ask to have Adam assigned to our case.

I was originally was comparing different online Conveyancers' service and Connect2law was the most responsive. They are the most proactive and have good customer's service. Laura was our Conveyancer from Connect2Law. She was attentive to all the details from the house survey. She helped us to identified areas of concerns and negotiated with the seller's lawyers. She replied our emails and concerns within 1-2 days without delay.

I have used connect2law for a flat purchase recently and found their service very efficient and professional. I did not experience any problems with them right from the beginning and they completed my flat purchase quickly within the time frame they originally provided.
My solicitor Adam Shire was extremely efficient at what he did and replied to all my emails very quickly. I feel really pleased and thankful for what Adam had done for my flat.

When I did my online research to choose which company to go for, the fee Connect2Law charged was reasonable but there were some mixed reviews. I would definitely recommend Connect2Law to people I know because my experience with them was definitely a positive one!

Great company and people working there. Bought a two bedroom flat, everything went very smooth and Geoffrey my conveyancer took his time to explain me everything and managed to have things moving fast too. I even managed to meet him face to face in Richmond to sign contract which was even easier. I would recommend and use this company again for the future.

Once I reached the stage of talking to my conveyancer Steph things went well, even during difficult periods from the vendor's agents.She was very helpful and friendly at all times, even when she was extremely busy.

For the rest of the earlier online process, it generally works OK although updates are infrequent and I had to call up and chase things a few times.

The solicitor dealing with the sale of our property was thorough and generally responsive whilst conducting the sale, aside from a few times we had to chase information. Our purchase has felt less well managed, an example being a period whereby we waited over 9 days for a response to an email requesting an update due to our solicitor being on leave without any notification being made to us or cover seemingly put in place. We sent multiple chasers and made calls to various 'leads' within the business whilst attempting to get an update, which unfortunately were completely ignored.

Starting with the onboarding process: Prior to cases being allocated a named solicitor one needs to work with various other teams within the business, none of whom seem to take any form or ownership or are able to communicate with either you, their customer, or themselves. The result is a significant amount of time on the phone and email chasing information.

More than once we were given incorrect information re: the status of our sale, frequency of communication was poor throughout and the final invoice we were given was incorrect. For the best part of the first month our case was largely left untouched, which when discovered led to us escalating our concerns to the head of customer service. He promptly disappeared, never to be seen again.

The online portal that is billed as some sort of incredible tool to keep you informed is so high-level, basic, and rarely updated that it quickly becomes a waste of time checking.

We were happy with the solicitor that was eventually assigned to our case but the same cannot be said for the army of other personnel we have been forced to interact with as part of the process, contrary to the promise of a single point of contact we were informed at the start we would be given.

We opted to go with Connect2Law on the basis of their excellent customer feedback, but our personal experience doesn't quite tally with those scores. The cynic in me wonders whether this may be somewhat due to the incentives (£20 amazon voucher) we were offered to leave reviews on review sites such as this one after our sale had completed, and critically, before we experienced the less than positive experience with our purchase. No such offer was made upon completion of our purchase... I wonder why. On reflection we would find it difficult to recommend Connect2Law to others... I'm also not counting on receiving the promised amazon vouchers anytime soon.

Overall great service from Laura Unite. We specifically asked for Laura as she had a lot of great personal feedback on the C2L trustpilot page. Initial stage was a little clunky/worrying as despite our request apparently being acknowledged we were assigned someone other than Laura, but after this all went pretty smoothly, despite wranglings with the mortgage lender, which Laura was helpful with. Good communication on email and phone throughout from Laura.
