Reading these other reviews on trustpilot and I can relate to most of the poor reviews. There is poor communication, lack of transparency, poor organisation, and lack of commitment of dates. We have yet to achieve a completion date given we started in February and all attempts at escalating urgency has been met with "would you like to send a complaints email". For those thinking you'd have access to speak to your assigned conveyancer - forget it. You are more likely to get in touch with someone from there customer service team who will promise to "pass on the message".
Advice to anyone reading this: don't make our mistake, pay more for better service.

I used Connect2Law when selling my mother's flat and having had a really terrible experience with a local firm of solicitors when we purchased the flat I decided to use this firm as although they were not local as they seemed to have a good profile. I was contacted by Laura Unite one of their team and I cannot speak more highly of the care and consideration I was given by her over the sale. My e-mails were always replied to within 24 hours and she also rang me to confirm different transactions and put my mind at rest over various issues. Everything was dealt with smoothly-even odd little complications- and Laura was both professional and friendly when making contact. Having had an unbelievably bad service from a local solicitor's office with the most extraordinary series of mishaps and delays her positive help and support was really appreciated. When (and if) I sell my house I would certainly use this firm again and recommend them to members of my family. I thought them being 'distant' and not having a local office might be a problem but it certainly wasn't; they were always amazingly prompt and efficient at getting back to me. Their service, care and help came as a delightful surprise and completion was reached far earlier than I expected.
My thanks to Laura and other members of the team.

I’m currently going through a property purchasing process and after being given assurances by Mario regarding the “service” offered, decided to instruct Connect2Law. What a mistake that has been.
I trusted the majority of reviews on trust pilot and left them to it initially. Then some paperwork was emailed across but not acknowledged so I followed up after a while. It turned out that the paperwork was sat in a shared mailbox for 9 days and wasn’t picked up until I pointed it out. This has delayed the process significantly.
I then realised I would have to micro manage them through to completion as their incompetence became more obvious.
I have so far only been “allowed” to speak with their support team. Who although I’m sure have good intentions are as useful as a chocolate teapot. On one of the numerous times I asked to speak with Abdul Saleem, my assigned solicitor whose services I’m paying for, I was told that he doesn’t speak to clients. Lovely.
After chasing and chasing and having literally none of my calls returned by Stuart, Alice or Katie I eventually got my case assigned to a conveyancer, hallelujah!
I was told that I would have direct contact with my conveyancer and would receive an email with that individuals direct contact information on. Lie. The email had the name but nothing else. So I phoned the office yet again to ask to speak with that person and after holding for five minutes was told she was too busy but would call me back. Did I get a call back? I’ll let you decide.
So I’m still going through the process and having daily frustrating calls with incompetent, unqualified individuals rather than the people whose fees I’m paying for. I’ll have to continue to chase them as I’m on a tight deadline for completion and can’t afford any more “missed” emails. Incidentally I’ve had to resend some more paperwork this week after Stuart told me the email I sent on Wednesday morning had not been received!
I urge anyone reading this not to put yourself through this ordeal and look elsewhere for legal representation. Pay a bit extra and get the personal touch from a firm that understands the words “customer service”.
I’ve had to give one star in order to leave a review but my experience so far is around minus 7 stars. Let’s see if they can get their act together over the next week or so.
It’s too late for me but you can still save yourselves.

I would definitely recommend this company, they helped to make the process as smooth as possible, from start to finish. The communication between us was excellent throughout and they were very helpful and polite. Adam was brilliant and couldn’t fault him at all.. He answered all questions/queries promptly and very professional at all times, thanks once again.
Great service and quick communication, my designated solicitor Adam was always on hand to answer questions and speed up the entire process. When faced with challenges out of our control he persisted constantly and ensured I got the best deal in the sale. Thank you connect2Law
The only 2 good things about my experience with them was that the transaction closed in 10 weeks as compared to an industry standard of 12 weeks that I am told about and their director Dan Watkins getting involved.
On the flip side when I was sold Connect2Law by their sales team their claim to fame was that as against an industry standard of 12 weeks, they close in 8. This was obviously not true in my case.
My biggest grouse with them was the complete lack of visibility on the status of the case. For 3 weeks, I did not get a single update from them or response to any of my emails or a clear response when I called them or a call back from my solicitor. I didn't speak to my solicitor even once during the whole transaction. The director Dan, who got involved after I raised a compliant, was a 1000 times more responsive than the solicitor on my case. Surprising that Directors have time to respond but not the solicitor who is hands on. I ended up signing my contract with a bunch of my queries not being responded to - I am still concerned about whether I am legally covered as far as the sale is concerned. I was always on a backfoot as I was under pressure from my seller to close fast and had no clue how to hold them back as I didn't have visibility to what was happening behind the scenes. The threat of the seller pulling out from the sale and putting the property on rent was very real. The day I went to sign the contract, even my name was incorrect on the sale deed inspite of me having highlighted that to them two days before via email.
Net-net - the decision is between whether a few hundred £ is more important than peace of mind. I opted for the former and faced the consequences. Would advice other first time buyers that they learn from my mistakes.
PS: not naming my solicitor only because I don't want to be a career killer and publicly name and shame people.

I would like to say a big thank you to Laura Unite, Conveyancer, who was a pleasure to deal with. She was always most helpful, professional, and dealt with the latter few weeks of the sale of my mum's flat with expertise. From the time that she took over my sale, all went smoothly. I admit that there was a rather unfortunate start to the process prior to Laura taking over (hence 4 stars rather than 5)........I instructed the person from Connect2Law (??in the Legal support team) to go ahead with the sale and asked for the initial paperwork etc, then heard nothing for ages. I was then sent an email by someone else asking whether I wanted to continue with the process? I said I thought that the sale had been initiated, only to be told that the first person I had dealt with had left the company and no one had access to her emails! All my instructions etc had therefore gone to a non functioning email address. Thankfully, Laura restored my confidence in Connect2Law, and thanks to her the process then went smoothly. 5 stars for Laura!

I am basing my review on the process so far as nearly 3 months into a BTL purchase the service from Connect2Law has been very slow and very unresponsive. Their communication early on before we instructed them was super quick and helpful but since then we have heard very little from them.
I know they have had to wait for documents from the sellers solicitors (I know this as the estate agent told us, not Connect2Law!) but we have had numerous emails simply ignored, come to think of it they haven’t actually replied to a single email we have sent apart from the ones before we instructed them!
We won’t be using them for future purposes.
Although I had reservations about using an online conveyancing service, I needn't have worried as within 2 months everything has been completed and I've moved out to adventures new.
Would highly recommend Connect2Law, especially Geoffrey Spencer-Smith who I would like to personally thank for his patience and time helping me to sell my home.
I'm reviewing as a purchaser.
Slow/Bad Communication, often long periods of non-comm until chased upon. Emails not replied for 4 -5 days at a time. Everytime I call in, it's either Answer machine or some excuse 'not at desk', 'will get back to you'.
I would have switched solicitors but it would have taken longer.
If you are looking for a smooth & fast transaction this is not the place to go.

Our solicitor Adam was excellent at getting the process through to completion to everyones satisfaction. Initial problems resolved as soon as he was on board.

I selected Connect2Law from the website. They lived up to their promise a quick process from engagement to completion by professional & friendly people.

My initial knowledge about Connec2law came from searching the web & consequently reading the reviews, I have to say Connect2law has not disappointed me in anyway, I am quite happy to recommend them to the readers, service was professional and well managed at a reasonable price, I like to specially thank my allocated solicitor Laura Unite for her thoroughness, hard work and responsiveness, we had quite a bit of delay from the seller’s solicitor but Laura & I persevered and we completed. A bit of advice here is to understand that solicitors don’t have the time to go through too much of details with you & alike many professions they are under the impression that you know as much as they know. Although infrequent but I found the information on the forums and Youtube very helpful and hope we get more of these introductory tutorials from every firm. Please also understand that the estate agent has the duty to talk to all the parties on your behalf to facilitate the sale.

We just completed on our property sale and purchase with Connect2Law. Jennifer and the team were very friendly and efficient. The conveyancing went through in about 2 months.
Happy to recommend to anyone wanting excellent service and a good value price
Overall my experience with Connect2Law was extremely positive. Although, initially it took a little while to assign a solicitor to handle my case, once I did receive one, she was fantastic. As first time buyers, Laura talked us through each step in the process in detail and was courteous and polite when w made mistakes or needed further advice.
Our first property fell through and on our second property our buyers were extremely difficult. Our second property could have also fallen through were it not for Laura and Connect2Laws diligent efforts to complete and deliver.
To summarise, Connect2Law delivered great value for money and an excellent personalised service!

Similar to those users listed , who had bad experiences, I had enormous issues with connect2law apparently losing and mislaying my setup paperwork. They handled sale of my old home and purchase of new one. No work was done ion my behalf in the first two months, despite collecting my fee deposit, and chasing me a month later to ask me to make the payment again. I had to chase their Legal support team to point of utter despair, and nearly lost my purchase, as the other party thought I Lost interest. Had to complain to David before my case was properly allocated. Laura was the one saving grace. She did work really hard on my case. exchanges finally took place but have since found problems with some of what was negotiated. I wrote back to them, and they haven't even had decency to reply to calls or emails. Like others have mentioned, now they have had my money, no one can be bothered. Spoke to Mohammed recently and his only concern was to pass me through to quotes team about more fees. I still haven't had my deeds and other purchase paperwork after nearly 90 days. Not a word about this. Only vague promises of " in due course"
In short, no one other than Laura shows any professionalism or client focus. The legal support team is the graveyard where emails and paperwork goes to die. They are only interested in signups and fees. Do yourself a favour, and find yourself a more professional firm.
I would as anybody I know shy away from writing a bad review for a law firm. But credits to the level of frustration Connect2law built into me during the last few months of a simple purchase (no chain). I will break it down for you and you are free to decide if you want to use their services:
Communication: They were very quick on communication during the sales pitch BUT once the process started to now when the purchase failed, I have made hundreds of phone calls/emails with turnaround times generally of 24hrs (that too mostly saying that they have received my email/call and will respond). I was the one always initiating, requesting them for next steps, asking questions as opposed to them being proactive.
There is indeed a limitation on words so it may not sound that horrible but when you are looking for answers and you need to chase your solicitor for more than days at a time then you feel the burn.
Process: My purchase finally fell through because of an issue with the deed and the lender refusing, now that has nothing to do with the solicitors, BUT, my conveyancer Laura, went just a day/s before the exchange to the lender highlighting an issue with the deed, as much as I am thankful to her to have spotted the issue, they had this deed with them sitting for months and the clauses in question were so very visible for them to have raised it already with whoever they felt important. THAT IS WHERE EXPERIENCE COUNTS and this firm has no experienced conveyancers (or at least they did not allot me one) that delay cost us in terms of peace of mind, money and finally losing the Flat just a day before the exchange/completion.
It came to a point that Laura stopped entertaining my calls/emails. I had to go to their office physically to meet with the head to discuss if that is how they treat their clients.
I can go on about the negatives but I do need to mention Mustafa, their Head of conveyancing, who has now left them, that when he stepped in at least he heard me and even though we still failed at the purchase he responded better than the entire team. As I write this review it would soon be 3 days that I had no response from them on my last email about closing the case. That proves a point, doesn’t it.

I had a very satisfactory experience particularly when started dealing with Mustafa who was very helpful, quick in his response & certainly recommend him without hesitation to all .
We had a really positive experience with Connect2Law. Mustafa was great from start to finish and made sure that we both felt thoroughly at ease. Mustafa listened carefully to our wishes with the sale and kept in contact throughout. We have now asked Connect2Law to write up our trust deed, which they is doing in a timely manner. We would thoroughly recommend this company!
Good communication. If I had a question somebody was always able to give me an answer by phone, email or popping into see them.
The sale took a little longer then expected but I was part of a chain.
I would use them again.
