Happy with the service. Helped me book a next day rental and let me add to my kit two hours before pick up.

I think especially for the cost, you can't beat it. They're also really responsive and understandable. I remember I was running late to return a rental and I gave them a call and let them know. They didn't even stress it..

Great Service, always helpful when we come with questions. Gear is always on point and the one time they forgot something, they were quick to refund for any ivconviencene caused.

CSI had what I needed and even gave me a call to make sure what i ordered would accomplish what I needed it to.

I was prepared for the worst based on my experiences with other rental houses in Manhattan but these guys couldn't have been easier or more helpful to deal with. All the equipment came in good shape, on time, with no hassle and even better - no attitude. I'm definitely going to use them again.

Initially we were excited to use CSI rentals because they came highly recommended by our videographer friend who uses them frequently. Our experience was alright. The rental order was placed for 2 lenses and the next day we got a call informing us that our sony rental wasn't available so they gave us an adapter and canon lens. That worked out well. However, we didn't get a call informing us that the Nikon lens we wanted to rent was also not available so they fulfilled the rental through fotocare, another rental spot not too far from CSI. My wife had some running around to do to pick up the other lens.

Overall, CSI did come through for us but my wife shared a different in-store experience that wasn't so helpful/friendly than I got over the phone when speaking with 2 people on different occasions. We're going to rent from them again and trust that we just had a rare experience.

Going on the CSI web site, making my order, making any necessary phone calls, and making the actual pick up for the gear; could not have been friendlier, easier, and more effective.

The representative was really kind and thoughtful, something you don't always get at these rental shops.

Unlike some other NYC Photo/Video Equipment Rental vendors I have used in the past, CSI has an amazing website that enables you to create custom quotes very easily, so that you can be sure of where your budget lands. I appreciate this transparency. Speedy load out and load in and professional + friendly.

The website is a mess. Constantly having to put information back in to get the correct order.
The quote vs price can be different if you use a coupon code.

We're a small film production company from Germany and I can only say good things about our rental with CSi. When we arrived they changed some parts according to our wishes (lighter stands, longer rails …) in no time. When we forgot the tripod camera plate on return (classic …) csi was very accommodating cause it took several days for my New York friend to return it. Thanks again CSi! Highly recommended.

I reserved a lens the night before an event that I had to photograph--I got to pick it up the day. Very easy process, painless, took $$ off because I returned it earlier than the day rate. Paid upon pick-up. Staff was very friendly, & overall I'm very impressed. There are a lot of places to rent in the city, but CSi is close to the PATH (I'm in Jersey City) & has yet to let me down.
