Refused to honour the promise of a free gift linked to a trial subscription, despite previously telling me the gift had been ordered. Emails were signed off by the same person in both cases - they just lie to appease you in customer service.
I would never use this company again, ever. Do not waste your money.

I received an email saying that my direct debit has been set up and a subscription taken out in my name.
I have never even heard of the company or the magazine.
They have my name correct on the set up of Direct Debit but an incorrect house door number.
I’m quite concerned that my details are being used to set up a subscription without my consent, seems to be a common occurrence.

I have subscribed for 6 issue for £1 by the company for a limited period alongside with free bidywash gift. However, i just received 2 issues and after that nothing came, contacted customer service and was told you will receive it in few day, i waited, waited and waited, nothing came . During all this i received no communication regarding the delay or any other issue . I rang them again they said they will resend the issues again, when asked why i was told last time i will receive it in few day now you are saying the same thing, she put me on hold for a while now then told me that we have none of the in stock at all so there ia nothing we can do about. So let alone receving the gift and i did not even got my remaining issues. Company seems to be running scam getting people tricked into signing for subscription just to make money , not to deliver the service. Please avoid this company at all cost as they all bunch of liars .

I have received emails for a subscription I have not made showing the personal details of another person.
This is in breach of GDPR. I am sure the other person will not be happy that I have partial details of their bank account as well as their name and address.

Awful company. Like many here, subscribed to Auto Express in good faith. Received 2 magazines then nothing! No explanation. Had to contact them, told 3 different excuses. Finally told me they would not honour the deal, 6 weeks after I subscribed. Totally dishonest company, not even worth one star. AVOID and buy elsewhere.
The standard reply to these reviews is more of a joke than the company!

I started a subscription with them for auto express. The deal was for £1 for the first month and a free gift, then after it goes to full price.
And yes they did it to me too. I only received 2 mags ever, no gift and full charge taken after a month. i tried online chat but was told Contact them by email. waiting for a reply but im really disappointed with the service and feel i have been robbed.

Signed up to Auto Express in good faith paying £1 for 6 copies and a free gift, then £22.99 via direct debit every 13 issues. Like others Dennis have only sent two magazines and cancelled the rest. When querying this they claim the promotion code was posted on the HotUkDeals website and therefore an abuse and they have the right to cancel the order. Dennis also state that no monies will be taken. If that's the case, then why has Dennis publishers debited £22.99 from my bank account for 13 copies of Auto Express that they have cancelled and I am never going to receive!

The worst ordering experience of my life!!! Tried to order back copies of Enzo magazine. Took my money straight away on the 7th November and out of the 8 magazines I ordered I have only received 3 and was told one of the magazines I ordered was out of stock with no signs of a refund!!!!!
I have spent over 3 1/2 hours talking to them on the phone on numerous occasions only to be put on hold while they try to sort things out. I’ve even spoken to the manager Richard a couple of times but to no avail.
I received one magazine through the post the other day, thankfully I opened it only to find that they had already sent me the same one. Total imbeciles. I did speak to one girl called Vicky and she was helpful but I still haven’t received my magazines. Stay well away from this company. Go to eBay you can get the same magazines from there and much more reliably.
I signed up via the auto express website for 6 issues and a free gift for £1. I only received two issues and no free gift. I have contacted the company several times and they can offer no explanation why only two issues were received. The date the free gift was supposedly sent has changed a few times and nothing has been received.
I note that the company say that previous applicants used a referral site. I signed up independently and am very disappointed that they didn't honour the deal.
The reply from the company totally sums up their attitude to customers, by sending a generic reply which does not apply to me. The information they provide contradicts the information that was on their website when I applied. I hope that they do something to improve their shocking business practices.
Just an update seven weeks after their reply below. They have still not refunded paid subscription as promised. Please don't be tempted to order from this company

Any replies by Dennis publishing contradict email engagements with customer services.
Why would it matter where the offer was spotted?
I received one copy and then nothing, it took me to engage with this company to find out what the issue was and it was never mentioned it was because I saw the offer on a alternative website.

Another one, Dennis.
As with many layers , I too signed up on the 20th October for a cracking deal on a magazine I used to buy regularly off the shelf.
Only ever received 2 of the 6 magazines like so many others, and no free gift.
I've made numerous contacts via email and live chat and each time assured they had been sent out already only to disappear in the postal system. Advised they would be reissued and the gift would arrive but nothing ever turns up.

I just got an email this morning saying I've set up a direct debit - but as Mr Sophie Klein not Miss Sophie Hopkinson-Klein, and also being sent to my old building (I moved in August) but the wrong flat number. Firstly no I did not set up a direct debit so CANCEL IT NOW. Secondly, what the hell is going on? Scam?

Why advertise subscriptions and free gifts if you dont complete the orders.
Im not alone here.....look at your reviews, you continually fail to deliver.

Where do I start, I joined 19th October for a weekly magazine however I only received the 1st 2 issues, since then I've repeatedly chased up the missing magazines they claim to have re-sent them but still have not arrived, also they claimed I would receive my free welcome gift by NO LATER then the 27th November that's today and still not arrived, also whenever I try to log into my online account there website has a notice come up claiming there's currently a fault with there website this has been going on for weeks (how convenient) my son was going to subscribe for a year but seeing what I have been going through with this company has now put him off, as a petrol head I have spoke to at least 6 other friends on a car forum that live in different parts of the country that I talk to on line that subscribed to this around the same time I did and strangely enough all of them are having the exact same problems, Dennis Publishing have completely wasted my time!! AVOID DENNIS PUBLISHING!!

It's a good product but their customer care is terrible. I have been unable to view my digital The Week for sometime now. It shows the first page of the article then cuts to the next article. Dennis keep telling me that it's a known problem and to be patient. I've requested that in the meantime they send out hard copies of The Week until they can sort it out. Again, they just write back with a generic email telling me to be patient. It is more than likely that if this continues I won't be renewing my subscription.
