Very poor experience of Dometic products and customer service

In August last year a window in my motorhome, manufactured by Dometic, developed a crack (the same thing happened to another window the year before). My insurer-approved glass repairer is still waiting for Dometic to supply a replacement. Delivery dates have been repeatedly delayed with no explanation. Currently I have been promised delivery mid to the end of February. With one day to go and no news, I'm not optimistic! I raised the matter with Dometic customer services in January who could not have been less interested. Insteading of asking for more details so they could investigate and come back to me they replied "unfortunately, we have no control over problems in the supply chain, which is becoming increasingly common in our globalised world." A major company that has denies any responsibility for its own supply chain? So I wasn't surprised to see so many other negative reviews on here. I will be avoiding Dometic products wherever possible.

Hold jer langt væk fra det firma

Hold jer væk fra deres NDS batterier. Vi købte en ny kabe og dometic siger at når man vil have lithium batterier i så skal man bruge NDS batterier.
Andre mærke kan ikke arbejde sammen med det styresystem Kabe kører med som er fra dometic.

Nu er NDS ejet af Dometic så man bliver tvunget til at købe deres batterier til en overpris for ellers frafalder garantien. Nu fandt vi udad at den app som er med fra NDS virker af Pommern til, så siger de Dometic NDS at ja når batterierne er tilsluttet systemet i Kabe (SmartD) så virker appen ikke. Og så fandt vi ud af at er de tilsluttet så går SmartD i komma og kan ikke bruges. Så vi fik at vide at man skulle koble batterierne fra af SmartD. Men så virker appen stadigvæk ikke. Så man skal købe deres dyre batterier “for ellers virker det ikke” men det skrot hvad de sælger virker heller ikke.
Det er lidt mafia methode de bruge med købe tvang og trusler om garanti.
Andre batterier til den halve pris af hvad NDS batterier koster virker da lige så godt.

Så hold jer langt væk fra Dometic og Dometic NDS

700 euro di finestra e si crepa dopo 3 mesi

Finestra dometic installata a novembre 2024 e già a gennaio 2025 si iniziano a vedere delle crepe sul vetro interno. Mi rivolgo all'officina che mi ha installato la finestra la quale manda foto e descrizione del problema al costruttore. Dometic risponde che è colpa nostra e che secondo loro abbiamo usato un prodotto chimico che ha danneggiato il vetro. Assurdo mai nemmeno toccat
a la finestra è chiaramente un difetto di fabbrica. Sta di fatto che Dometic non è un'azienda seria, i prodotti che sforna sono di qualità scadente e il servizio assistenza peggio che peggio. 700 euro di finestra fatta di pongo. Ridicoli

Dometic Nrx 90v

Not impressed. It's horribly expensive compared with a 240v fridge run through an inverter.
The electrical connections are literally dangling out of the back corner. The crisper nearer the door cannot be removed as the door is in the way and the freezer compartment is hard to negotiate past the door too.
There is no means of securing the fridge to the vehicle, van or boat.
There is virtually no clearance to attach a pipe to the drain, which is as awkward a place as possible, dead centre of the fridge base.
This is a really badly thought out fridge, which needs a serious redesign.

RMD10.5T Kühlschrank

RMD10.5T
Dieser superteure Kühlschrank hat uns von Anfang an nur Probleme gemacht. Zuerst hatten wir mit der beidseitig zu öffnenden Tür das Problem, dass sie uns entgegen gefallen ist. Nach etlichen Besuchen in der Werkstatt und langen Monaten Wartezeit wurde das Problem behoben.
Dann konnten wir zum ersten Mal den Kühlschrank nur mit Gas betreiben. Es dauerte nicht lange, dann lief er auf Störung.
In einer spanischen Werkstatt wurde festgestellt, dass das Zündkabel, das in der Nähe zum Rohr verlegt wurde, angeschmort war!! Das kann nur als Fabrikationsfehler angesehen werden! Leider ist zwischenzeitlich, verursacht durch die Behebung des ersten Problems mit den langen Wartezeiten, die Garantie abgelaufen. Dometic sollte uns zumindest teilweise entgegen kommen. Darauf warten wir noch….
Wenn alles gut funktioniert, ist es ein toller
Kühlschrank- wenn!!

Gewerbe Geräte haben nicht mal eine Lebensdauer von ca. 2 Jahren - mieser und langsamer Kundenservice.
Bei 9 Defekten Geräten - wurden nur 2 gutgeschrieben.. ?
Nie wieder verkaufen wir Geräte von dieser Firma an unsere Kunden!

Bonjour. J'ai équipé mon van avec la petite gaziniere dometic starlight.
Le gril n'a jamais fonctionner comme il faut , impossible de régler la flamme ! Qui sort grosse et bleue...et le coupe gaz ne fonctionne pas !
Les brûleurs fonctionnent bien ! Au bout d'une année de fonction, les vis qui fixe les brûleurs sont détériorées .
Et le four à une toute petite puissance.
Vue le prix très élevé je m'attendais à une vraie gaziniere, je regrette cette achat...
Vraiment cette fois je regrette vraiment cet achat, j’ai entièrement démonté la gazinière bout par bout, nettoyer entièrement les gicleurs, mais le grill ne fonctionne toujours pas comme il faut.
Cette gazinière coûte le prix d’une vraie cuisinière à gaz, mais franchement c’est de la camelote.
Je vous déconseille vraiment cet achat.

Great Service

My caravan Microwave stopped working 2 months after the warranty expired. I got in touch with Dometic who told me. “It shouldn’t have failed” and organised a replacement for me, so I’m really happy with their positive “can do” attitude.

I have just brought A Brand new Dometic…

I have just brought A Brand new Dometic Cool Ice Box 22 litre and have totally found that this brand is top class because it is Australian Made and is also very easy to get the spare parts if ever required so I would highly recommend this brand of esky / Car fridge and it is easier to put in the back of our 4WD for Picnics and going to the beach

Leider nicht einen Stern wert, teures Plastikgehäuse ohne Nutzen.

Haben uns Die ACC 3100 bei einem Händler in unser nageleues Fahrzeug aufgrund des guten versprechen von Dometic eingebaut.Diesen Einbau haben wir von der ersten Sekunde total bereut. Denn das 699,- Euro teure Plastikteil macht nicht einmal was was einem versprochen wird, ausser Licht.Wir haben vom ersten Tag an Probleme, ob es die Anzeige von einem angeblich vollen Filter ist, der gar keiner ist, weil den hätte man sich sparen können so grobporig wie der ist, oder der Fehlermeldung 128 FAN 1 RPM Mismatch, sowohl FAN 2 RPM Mismatch, wo selbst die Techniker von Dometic nicht einmal wissen was dies bedeutet.Innerhalb von einem Jahr 5 x beim Händler gewesen, Oberteil neu, Innenleben neu, Unterteil neu, Elektrik neu und alles von vorne. Insgesamt 650 km und 5 Urlaubstage geopfert und alles erfolglos.Mal den Support Deutschland angeschrieben, Antwort tut uns leid, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler, Kostenerstattung für das alles null.Was kann der Händler der dies verbaut dafür das Dometic einen Haufen Müll produziert, ehrlich jetzt? Philosophie = der Kunde nervt, ist uns aber egal. Kunde ist Beta Tester, soll er mal weiter Testen und wird verkohlt nach Strich und Faden. Wer sich das in der heutigen Zeit erlauben kann, bitte aber mit uns nicht mehr.

Équipementier à fuir. J'ai une caravane équipée d'un climatiseur Freschwell 3000 particulièrement bruyant. Dométic renvoi systématiquement vers son réseau d'agents qui en fait est quasi inexistant, soit s'occupant uniquement de frigos, de camping car...J'ai donc écris 2 mails et un courrier pour demander où envoyer mon appareil pour une révision annuelle, qui est d'ailleurs une prescription de la notice d'utilisation. Pas de réponse à ce jour.

CONTINUA LA "GARANTIA" DE DOMETIC Y SU DELEGACIÓN DE LOMBARDIA.

Día 16 de diciembre:
Llegamos al taller y este “buen señor” nos dice que no sabe nada, que ya nos avisará.
Le pido que llame a Dometic y que nos ayude a hablar con alguien responsable que pueda ayudarnos y solucionarnos el problema.
Me contesta que llame yo si quiero, que él no va a llamar,
Vale – le digo- dame el número de teléfono.
Y me responde.
No tengo número.
Estábamos en la calle, junto a la puerta del taller.
Se da la vuelta, entra en el taller y cierra la puerta con llave.
Llamo dos veces y como no obtengo respuesta, llamo a la policía.
Hemos tenido “suerte” y en media hora ha llegado una patrulla de carabiniere.
Le explicamos la situación a la policía, les enseño todos los emails cruzados desde el 7 de noviembre, se hacen cargo y le hacen abrir la puerta.
A los diez minutos salen todos y me dicen que están esperando respuesta de Dometic, respuesta que llega en dos minutos.
Dometic dice que en siete días recibirá este “señor” M.G.F. Motorhome, un frigorífico nuevo para que proceda a sustituir el averiado.
Le pido que me lo diga por email, para tener constancia y así quedamos.
Los Policías se marchan y nosotros también.

Tried to get Dometic support for a…marine anything

Tried to get Dometic support for a built in marine product. Couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Tried their online links. There were only two.
THIS IS THE SAME SITE ESZTER SENDS EVERYONE TO!
One no longer dealt with Dometic due to their poor support.
The other said they’d been trying to get their name removed for YEARS since they no longer dealt with Dometic.
I’ll be buying anything else I can, just not Dometic.

Fendt Bianco 465 sge mit Heki Dachlucken . Nach knapp 22 Monaten sind mir kleine Risse in einer von zwei Dachluken aufgefallen . Händler angeschrieben und um Regulierung gebeten .Als Antwort kam das was man in verschiedenen Foren zu lesen ist .Falscher Reiniger benutz .Nun frage ich mich die Dachlucken von Dometic die vorher 10 Jahre auf meinem Knaus waren und mit dem selben Reiniger gereinigt worden sind war das eine Bessere Qualität . Bekommt man heute von dieser Firma für viel Geld nur noch Schrott ? Am Gefriehrfach ist schon ein ausgebrochen so das das Scharnier beim öffnen an der Tür hängen bleibt und nicht im Gehäuse bleibt . Die Zeit für eine Reklamation werde ich mir sparen .Ich werde keine Produkte dieser Firma mehr kaufen und auch auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen . Auch die Klimaanlage werde ich bei einer anderen Firma (truma) kaufen .

Eine Dometic Klimaanlage auf unserem Reisemobil war nach 8 Monaten defekt. Nach verzweifelter Suche eines Reparaturpartners, wurde ein Kompressordefekt festgestellt. Kann nun mal passieren. Das Fahrzeug wurde nun halt zu dem freundlichen Partner von Dometic gefahren. Soweit auch gut. An Stelle hier uns, dem Kunden die Anlage zu tauschen, dauerte es a) erst einmal einen Antrag zu stellen, dann die Anlage auszubauen, Dometic zu übergeben. Das Reisemobil darf zwischenzeitlich abgeholt werden, um später wieder vorzufahren, da es sich um eine Verschiebung von Wochen handelt... b) später einmal, nach Befindlichkeit Dometic eine "Tauschanlage zu bekommen", dann wieder zu dem Vertragspartner zu fahren, um die Anlage einbauen zu lassen. Ein Produkt von Dometic? Nie wieder!

Købte et luftfortelt med extention på ferie for alle i 2022
Det har kun været op sat 2 sæsoner 2022 og 2024 opsat og nedtaget efter alle foreskrifter
Vinduerne er totalt ugennemsigtige og mælkehvide og ovenlysvinduerne er mørnet med store huller
18000 for et telt der kun klarer 2 sæsoner, det er under al kritik 😡😡

We purchased a Dometic DMC 4081 8 cu ft 12v refrideraator

We purchased a Dometic DMC 4081 8 cu. ft. 12v DC refrigerator through a local RV repair company. The fridge cost $1,498 plus installation costs. It was installed in August (2024). It failed to work right out of the box. It won't cool the fridge compartment colder than 60 degees, and the freezer will barely keep a bag of ice from melting. It would be a beautiful fridge if it worked, but it doesn't. The RV repair company has been trying to deal with Dometic on the warranty issue, but Dometic continues to require him to do more and more tests (didn't tell him what they wanted in tests the first time). The last test info was sent to Dometic around September 14th. He has yet to hear back from Dometic despite multiple messages and calls. The warranty service with Dometic is terrible.--JB, Helena MT
