CRX50S fridge- Buy Cheap Instead...

I ordered a CRX50S fridge and the first came with a broken fan. I returned this to the vendor who replaced it. On the new one the catch on the bottom of the door has a grey plastic surround on it. This falls out every time I open the door... Its hassle to send back so I decided to engage Dometics support.

The UK support were pretty friendly and responsive and are sending me a replacement (small plastic surround, not the fridge).

The build quality is pretty disappointing on this fridge though and I already wish I had gone with one of the cheaper LG powered copies. The extra cost does not translate into quality and the fridge looks cheaply built compared to the Chinese copies that seem to have surpassed it.

I saved for months and chose this fridge as I believed it was the best.

I have a 2022 Jayco Rv with the Dometic…

I have a 2022 Jayco Rv with the Dometic refrigerator. I took my Rv to Louisiana, stayed a month and it quit cooling I had it repaired for 600.00 dollars. It lasted 3 more months and I came back home and dropped it off at Blue Compass to get it repaired again it was in the shop for 7 months waiting on Dometic or Jayco to ship parts. Just as my warranty runs out they got it repaired. I bring it home and it lasted 2 days and quit cooling. I take it back to Blue Compass and they said it was out of warranty and it would cost me 4000.00 dollars to have it repaired. They wouldn’t stand behind there work! I would not advise buying a Jayco RV or a Dometic refrigerator and don’t have Blue Compass to work on your RV in Gasville Arkansas.
I got a call to go back to work. I went to Walmart and got me a little Frig that works great. I hired a local JNT RV repair in Midland TX to come and give me an estimate to do the repairs. Update once I Receive the estimate.

Dometic Awning, disgusting customer service

In response to your last reply through trust pilot of which you have asked us to contact your customer support team with via link to this, however you fail to realise that we have already gone through your customer support with 2 emails the first on the 20/8/24 & 5/9/24 to receive an automated response that a member of the team will be in contact. You also stated previously to this on the 11/9/24 that our issue had been sent to the relevant department and a member of the team will help with our issue, you are just sending around in circles. The awning that we purchased from you at the cost of £2,500.00 Ace Air 500s All-Seasons is an absolute disgrace, it now has mold, faded and the windows are totally damaged beyond repair and represents an awning of 10+years not just 2 years old. We take great care with our belongings and have pride in what we have but we feel totally embarrassed to have the awning up, we feel totally appalled and disgusted, upset by the way we have been let down with this purchase as I would like to add again that before purchasing this awning we had just a touring awning by Kampa (air) for 7 years and the windows were perfect, no mold yes it had faded but it was 7 years old and had been used in Southen Spain and the South of France which I would like to say was a great deal hotter than the UK where we have only used our current awning. The awning was well ventilated so cannot understand the mold!!! The fading "All-Seasons" thus us a complete joke and mis-selling. We have now took the awning down,dry, clean and folded correctly. We feel upset, appalled, embarrassed and totally appalled, but you seem to not be interested in your customer feedback and the issues they have and bad experiences with your products.

DO NOT BUY A DOMETIC AWNING

Awning has been used for just under a season. Windows have completely faded and have turned brittle. All fabric has faded with stitching failing. Straps have gone brittle with two failing. The only part that has not been an issue yet is the zips.

Advertised with a 2 year warranty and an email was sent over a month ago. In this time I have received two responses with no further help or assistance on how this is going to be resolved.

If you wish to spend just under £2000 every year for your awning then these are your guys.

Ill await a response and update accordingly. If this fails I will submit a claim through hm courts and tribunals service to be reimbursed for the inferior product and any fees incurred.

Enttäuschender Kundenservice

Messemitarbeiter fast alle sehr Arrogant. Gut, bei dem ganzen Trubel auf der Messe kann ich das verstehen. Aber wenn man damit nicht umgehen kann, schickt man andere Mitarbeiter dort hin oder macht mehr Pausen.
Trotzdem Kühlschrank bestellt. Sollte 1 Woche nach der Messe geliefert werden. Messepreis war auch lächerlich. Nichtmal 5% unter dem was er normal bei anderen Anbietern kostet.
Ende vom Lied, Kühlschrank war angeblich auf Vorrat und sollte eine Woche nach Messe in die Berger Filiale geliefert werden. Nach 2 Wochen noch keine Benachrichtigung, also dometic angerufen angeblich wäre der Kühlschrank bei Berger. Berger Zentrale angerufen, Kühlschrank ist in der Filiale eingetroffen.
Vor Ort natürlich nichts. Nach mehrfacher nachfrage bei Dometic keine verlässiche Aussage. Plötzlich ruft Berger an und sagt Kühlschrank erst im November lieferbar.
Direkt alles storniert und den Kühlschrank online Bestellt und direkt am gleichen Tag noch einen Lieferungstermin der Spedition erhalten. Und das noch wesentlich günstiger als der Messepreis.
Da will man den Einzelhandel unterstützen und am Ende läuft doch nichts.
Gut, es liegt wahrscheinlich auch nur an Dometic und nicht an der Berger Filiale.
Trotzdem, nie mehr Dometic. Nur ärger Klimaanlage auch nach 2 Jahren defekt. Bei freien Reparaturfirmen wohl ein bekanntes Problem mit den Dometic Klimaanlagen. Ersatzteile überteuert. Es werden nur die nötigsten Informationen bereitgestellt, keine Schaltpläne etc. Rausgegeben.
Bei Truma ist das alles wesentlich einfacher zugänglich.
Ich rate nur dazu, wenn ihr nicht auf Dometic angewiesen seid, guckt euch woanders um.

Ho un guasto al comando remoto di un generatore Dometic tec 29. Il ricambio trovato su internet costa poco piu' di 500 euro. Per un interuttore grande come quelli di casa con due tasti due LED e uno schermino mi sembra esagerato. Purtroppo hanno l' esclusiva e se ne approfittano, cambiato il frigo per passare da trivalente a compressore e acquistato di altra marca. Sul mio camper se c"e' una alternativa mai piu' Dometic.

Versandkostenwucher!

Bei unserem Herd ist ein Aufkleber (der die jeweilige Position der Schalter anzeigt) durch Hitzeeinwirkung kaputt gegangen. Anfrage an Dometic für einen neuen Aufkleber wurde dahingehend beantwortet, dass der Aufkleber gerne geliefert werden kann...Kosten unter 6 Euro, aber für den Versand wird eine Versandkostenpauschale von 12,50 Euro fällig! Das nenne ich mal richtig kundenfreundlich!!!!

Voor garantie kunt u enkel terecht bij uw verkoper. Niet bij een service provider. Een service provider kan de koelbox enkel opsturen ter reparatie, waar de verzend kosten voor uw rekening zijn. Mocht er dan blijken dat het defect om een garantie geval gaat, fabrieksfout van 26 maanden na aankoop , zal Dometic daar echt geen kosten aan u rekenen na 2 maanden buiten garantie.
Ik vond het heel vervelend dat u niet geholpen wordt door uw verkoper. Dus ik probeerde u te helpen om een alternatief te bieden, en dat neemt u mij niet in dank af.
Dus ik wil voorstellen dat u uw tijd en energie vooral wend tot uw verkoper, Berger. De partij die u daadwerkelijk zou moeten helpen. Op deze manier kan ik u helaas niet helpen.

... da bin ich aber mal gespannt.

Also ... ich arbeite in einem Servicecenter für elektrische Geräte, die bei dem großen Oneline-Händler ... europaweit ...gekauft werden und die Kunden dort eine verlängerte Garantie über eine Versicherung abgeschlossen haben.

Die Geräte kommen also i.d.R. nach Ablauf der 2 Jahren Herstellergarantie oder Schäden durch Eigenverschulden bei Bruch oder Wasserschaden, etc. zu uns.

Aber wir können auch nicht alles selber reparieren ... wenn uns die Expertise oder auch der Zugang zu Erstzteilen fehlt ... dann wenden wir uns an die Hersteller.

Jetzt habe ich eine Kühlbox CFX 65W wo der 12/24V
Eingang nicht funktioniert angemeldet ... und eigentlich auch vom Support Nachricht bekommen, dass ich die Kühlbox zur Reparatur einschicken kann.

Jetzt bekomme ich eine weitere Mail ... und da "piept " es mich schon wieder an ... das diese eine noreplay Mail ist ... mit der Info wenn auf der Dometic Webseite gekauft ... und nicht älter als 2Jahre zu Dometic.

Wenn bei einem Händler gekauft soll ich mich an diesen wenden oder einen Servicepartner aufsuchen.

Zunächst mal zu der noreply - Mail ... warum werde ich nicht direkt kontaktiert ... wieder über irgendwelche Links die nichts bringen.

Dann ... wie unterscheide ich auf einer langen Liste von Namen, die angegeben sind wer Händler ist oder wer Servicepartner ist und repariert.

Was soll der Quatsch !? ... Händler schicken die Kühlbox auch nur weiter.

Weiss bei Dometic nicht die eine "Hand" was die andere tut. Bei uns in der Firma finde ich in unserem Mailsystem unter der E-Mail-Adresse des Kunden sämtliche vom Kunden gesendete oder an den Kunden verschickte Mails ... da schaue ich erstmal wer was geschrieben hat.

... und dann der Hinweis zu Trustpilot und der Aufforderung zur Bewertung. Wenn ich da die ganzen schlechten Bewertungen lese ... da bin ich aber mal gespannt.

Hoffe ich mal aufs Beste.

Ich kann die Erfahrung über die Messe nicht ganz teilen. Ich habe mich auch am Messestand in Düsseldorf über einen Kühlschrank informieren wollen, hatte aber im Vorfeld schon Infos eingeholt. Der erste Mitarbeiter war sehr nett konnte nicht alles beantworten und hatte seinen Kollegen mit herangezogen. Und ja, dieser war sehr arrogant, überheblich und auch nichts wissend, egal welche Fragen ich gestellt hatte. Es hat mich aber vom Kauf nicht abgehalten, ich bin von Dometic überzeugt dass die Produkte hochwertig sind. Natürlich gibt es den einen oder anderen Außreißer, aber wo nicht. Supportanfragen wurden übrigens immer recht schnell beantwortet mit der Aussage die ich benötigt habe. Derzeit steht aber noch eine Antwort aus.

Pièce détachée indisponible

Impossible de me procurer une pièce détachée pour le réfrigérateur du camping-car que je viens d’acheter d’occasion, et pas d’alternative proposée. Bilan : l’appareil fonctionne, mais la porte s’ouvre en roulant !
Il faudrait changer un appareil qui fonctionne juste parce qu’il n’y a pas de suivi d’une pièce métallique de quelques euros… Inacceptable !

PS : à la lecture des autres avis, je trouve inacceptable que le SAV ne fasse pas l’effort de parler en français à ses clients français. C’est pourtant une question élémentaire de politesse et de considération.

Ajout suite à la réponse de Dometic. Comme cela m’a été suggéré (toujours en anglais), j’ai contacté le SAV sur le site de Dometic à l’adresse qui m’a été donnée. Voici leur réponse :

Finger weg von Dometic…

Wir haben den Messestand der Firma Dometic auf der Messe Caravan 2024 in Düsseldorf besucht, da wir ein paar Fragen zu Produkten ( Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage) hatten. Es war gruselig. Es waren mit erheblichen Abstand die arrogantesten und überheblichsten Mitarbeiter mit denen wir jemals zu tun hatten. Schade das ich die Klimaanlage schon gekauft hatte. Ich würde die jetzt nicht mehr in diesem Laden kaufen. 🤮🤮

MoBar 550 mit defekt geliefert

Wir haben uns online eine MoBar 510 bestellt, ordentlich geliefert bekommen, beim auspacken festgestellt das unser Steuergerät komplett verbeult und verzogen ist. Beim online Händler reklamiert, der direkt eine Abholung veranlasst hat, diese auch reibungslos funktioniert!
Jetzt wollten wir die MoBar evtl gerne behalten und haben den Kundenservice von Dometic zweimal kontaktiert, Bilder vom Schaden gesendet und darum gebeten eine Lösung für das defekte Steuergerät zu finden. Da hat bis heute nicht einmal jemand darauf reagiert, für so ein großes Unternehmen ist das mehr als peinlich, Gott sei dank sind wir das Teil nun los, nachdem ich hier die ganzen Bewertungen gelesen habe, sind wir mittlerweile froh. Nie wieder etwas von Dometic und vorher schon sich über eine Firma erkundigen, denn Kundenservice ist, wie ich finde sehr wichtig, vor allem wenn so eine mobile Bar ca 4000,- Euro kostet !!!

2013 Safari wagon ac replacement

i received the dometic penguin ac for my rv.
1: when installing it found no bolts to bolt the rv to the mounting bracket inside and had use 3 that were on my old unit and go to the hardware store to buy a forth,
2: the blower fan motor was not bolted tight and caused the blower to vibrate and hit the plastic shield around it when I tightened the bolt it drew the motor and fan even closer to the plastic and now the rubbing is louder.
3: the rv air grill when the package was opened right before install has a small crack on the front left corner, this did not effect the use but should have not been cracked at all, the packaging was good so I don't no what would have caused this.
The installation itself was ok and your on line tec service was very helpfull with the wiring. But I still need to deal with the fan rubbing the plastic.
the overall experience, chasing bolts, tightening the blower motor, and now trying to figure out how to stop the blower from rubbing. The experience was poor at best.

Einen Kompressor Kühlschrank gekauft…

Muss hier meine schlechte Beurteilung zu dometic und Camping Wagner zurücknehmen. Das Zuleitungskabel hatte einen zu geringen Querschnitt und deshalb lief der Kühlschrank nur sehr launig bis gar nicht . Dometic schickte den Kühlschrank ohne Kommentar zurück. Ein dometic Techniker aus Düsseldorf gab mir den Tipp ein Kabel mit einem größeren Querschnitt zu nehmen. Gesagt, getan. Kühlschrank läuft.
Sorry für die schlechte Bewertung.

Dissatisfied with microwave quality

Dissatisfied with level of quality for our dometic microwave. After just two years in our Motorhome it’s no longer working.
Not sure I want to spend &325 every 2 years on a microwave

Based on your reply is Dometic suggesting that it is a reasonable expectation to expect a fridge to fail within two years of manufacturing hence purchase warranty extension?

Disappointed by level of quality expectations set by Dometic customer service

Scharnierstift Kühlschranks

Ein Scharnierstift des Kühlschranks ist bereits nach dem zweiten Urlaub abgebrochen. Billigste China Ware wird hier eingesetzt. Kontakt zum Kundencenter aufgenommen und auf Kulanz gehofft. Stattdessen wurde mir ein Ersatzteilkit (30 Euro) + Versand (13 €!!!!!) = insgesamt 43 Euro angeboten. Das Teil hätte in einen Briefumschlag für nicht mal einen Euro gepasst. Nie wieder Dometic!

Je dois changer le bouchon cassette wc…

Je dois changer le bouchon cassette wc dometic. Je trouve le prix exorbitant pour un bouchon en plastique en moyenne 33 €.
Le même genre de produit chez thetfort en moyenne 8 €. Cherchez l'erreur !!
