I didn't even get to stay in the property I rented, but...

My experience with Easy Reserve is rather unusual in that I never ended up staying at the property I rented (Il Marchese di Ronta in Tuscany). After putting down a non-refundable deposit 10 months in advance, I was notified about 6 weeks later that my reservation was being canceled because a prior agreement for the property with another party superseded mine - a fact that was not disclosed to me. Although Easy Reserve tried to offer up alternative properties, I couldn't find one that worked for my dates and needs so I asked for a refund. I wanted my refund in US$, because I did not want to assume the exchange risk in a situation that was not my fault or responsibility. [Note that I would bear that risk in paying for the rental.] It turned out that there was a deficit to me when the Euro refund was received, and to Easy Reserve's credit and integrity, they made me whole. For demonstrating fair and equitable business practices, I give them 4 stars. Other than the huge disappointment in not being able to rent the villa I chose (which was not ER's fault per se), I do want to mention their non-refundable deposit policy is very onerous when compared to the many other rental sites and agencies around (like AirBnB). Most others have sliding scales of refunding deposits as one approaches the booking date. This in my opinion would make ER more appealing and competitive. In any case, I was pleased with the consideration extended to me in this weird situation and would recommend using Easy Reserve.

because of a delay in the banking process I received a storno of my reservation. That was quite exciting at the first moment.
For good luck they made a prompt re-reservation.
All others run fine.

Amazing bad experience …

Nous avons réservé une villa par leur intermédiaire et la seule chose que je puisse dire c’est que cela fut la plus mauvaise expérience de notre vie de voyageur.
En effet, la plate-forme easyreserve n’a aucune considération pour ses clients et prends très volontiers et rapidement parti pour l’agence qui a la location de la villa en gestion.
De gros problèmes de climatisation dans la « Villa dei Nonni » à Ostuni, ainsi qu’une piscine mal nettoyée à notre arrivée.
Malgré nous etres déplacés à l’agence Raro Realty & Villas à Ostuni car nos messages et appels restés sans réponses, nous nous sommes vu confrontés à du personnel que très peu empathique et a l’air et au ton très suffisant.
Nous avons eu beau leurs exposés les problèmes rencontrés, ils n’ont eu de cesse de nous rabaisser qui a nous faire passer pour des demeurés et ce preuve à l’appuie, invoquant le caractère de la situation de la villa à la campagne ou encore le climat des Pouilles qui, selon eux ne permettrait pas que les convecteurs de climatisation ne puissent atteindre une température en dessus de 24 degrés dans les chambres et moins de 32 dans les pièces à vivre…lunaire de s’entendre tenir de tel propos!!!!
Et le service client Easy Réserve qui boit les paroles de Raro Realty comme parole d’evangile.!! Pour preuve mon dernier mail à Easy Réserve est resté sans réponse et si cela n’avait pas été le cas nous ne les aurions pas associé à ces malfaiteurs!!!….
Je ne peux que les qualifier de complices de cette société qui visiblement ne connaît pas son travail et n’a aucune idée de la définition du mot service client.
Nous ne pouvons que vous recommander de fuire ces deux prestataires et ce pour la qualité et la tranquillité de vos séjours.

As Easy Reserve, we act as an intermediary between renters and property owners. This means we facilitate communication and try to resolve any issues that arise during a stay. In your case, we diligently replied to your emails before your arrival and during your stay, including multiple exchanges via emails and phone calls on the 06/09. We have also passed your concerns to the partner agency, and we are still awaiting their official response.

It’s true that we should have informed you that we were still waiting for feedback from the partner following your last email, and for that, we sincerely apologize. However, it's important to note that in cases like this, especially in high season, complaints must follow certain protocols, and the resolution process may take longer than usual. We understand that this can be frustrating, but we are actively managing your case and committed to finding a resolution.

We also want to acknowledge that you followed the proper procedure by notifying us of the issues when they occurred. Your concerns have not been ignored, and we are still scrutinizing the situation. In fact, we made sure to notify the partner immediately, who in turn sent someone from their main office to your property to address the problems you raised.

Regarding the tone used by the partner, as Easy Reserve, we can’t directly comment on the interactions as we weren't present during those exchanges. However, we have been in business with this partner for a long time, and throughout over a hundred reservations of their properties, we have never received such negative feedback about their tone or professionalism. They specialize in working with high-end properties and a discerning clientele and they have consistently maintained a high standard of service.

While we can’t comment on the tone used by the partner, we have carefully reviewed all the exchanges you had with the employees of Easy Reserve. Our staff has always treated you with respect, professionalism and consideration while informing you of the position of the partner. Should you have any proof to the contrary, we encourage you to share it with us so we can address it.

For this reason, while we understand the frustration that can arise from such situations, we do not tolerate bullying or unfounded strong written accusations directed at our team or company. We believe in open and respectful communication, and while we are committed to resolving your concerns, it is important that this is done in a fair and professional manner. For this reason, we reserve the right to take legal action as Easy Reserve if the situation escalates with further defamatory remarks.

Concerning the a/c issue, it’s important to note that when temperatures outside are very high, it's essential to keep windows closed to allow the system to cool the space efficiently. If windows are left open, the desired coolness cannot be achieved, which isn’t a fault of the system itself, but you surely know this. Official technicians came to the property more than once during your stay to address your concerns and their expert position was that there was no issue with the system.

As for the pool, it was cleaned both before your arrival and a second time after your initial complaint. In rural areas, it is normal for a small number of insects and particles moved by the strong wind to land into the water, which can happen even after cleaning. This does not reflect poorly on the cleanliness process of the pool.

We deeply regret that you feel this was the worst travel experience of your life. We are still in the process of evaluating your case and are awaiting the partner's final response before making a decision. In the meantime, please know that we are committed to resolving this matter as promptly as possible.

MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT

The advertisement for my villa said
AIR CONDITIONING.
When we got to the villa in August in Tuscany there was ONE working air conditioner in the house.
We had 2 children less than 5 years old and two women.
When the advertisement says AIR CONDITIONING, do I have to ask "HOW MANY ROOMS?" Really?
SUCH A MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT.
We had to abandon this villa because it was impossible to stay there as the temperature was 95 degrees.
No monetary concession by the owner or the Easy Reserve for this false advertising.

DO NOT TRUST EASY RESERVE ADVERTISEMENTS!

Our website features thousands of properties, some with A/C and some without. It cannot be expected that a property with the flag A/C has automatically A/C in ALL rooms. For this reason, we provide for each property on our website a description that gives the renters a full detail of the features available and where they are available.

While the villa you selected was advertised with air conditioning, the property description clearly stated which room was equipped with A/C. This information was openly provided on the villa’s webpage and was not hidden or written in small print. Our goal is to ensure transparency for all guests, and we always encourage careful review of the full property description to help make informed decisions.

In addition to what already said, when an amenity is particularly important for your stay, we always recommend double-checking with us to ensure your expectations are met before booking. This can include confirming the speed or reach of the Wi-Fi for those planning to work remotely or ensuring there is a fence for those bringing a pet. This is one of the reasons why we have customer care representatives available via phone, mail and chat. In your case, while you inquired about other amenities, such as Wi-Fi, you did not ask for further details regarding the air conditioning.

Unfortunately, as the listing accurately reflected the villa’s features, we could not offer a refund in this case. We genuinely regret that the villa did not meet your expectations, and we hope you understand our position.
