The service was appalling

The service was appalling. They got the order incorrect and did not give me a refund despite numerous calls and emails. The workers were rude in particular "Junior" who accused me of lying despite email evidence in support of my assertions. I should have taken this to court but honestly I was so busy at the time it wasn't practical especially for a small amount. I do not recommend using them at all. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

Excuses all the time

Have been waiting for two copany polo shirts for over three weeks keep getting excuses all the time getting fed up with the copany will try again if no joy will cancel the order and never use them again

Ethic star and plain t-shirt.co.uk

This is the same company as plain t-shirt.o.uk and I have had a very poor experience with them. Do not use this company. My order wasn't delivered after 10 days and when I contacted them they said they had sent my order to someone else. They then said they would re-send my order however they now didn't have two of the items I wanted. I exchanged one item but wanted a refund for the other. I paid £5.89 for the item but they only refuded £2.25. For the inconvenience they said they would refund 50% of my total however only refunded £7 from the £30 I paid. I have called them every day this week to get the remainder of my refund however I'm constantly told someone will contact me however this hasnt happened. I have also had the phone put down on me on two occasions when I asked the call handler there names as a reference for my call. Terrible experience with this company and very poor customer service. Do not use them there are much better reputable companies out there with better customer services.

Unprofessional Company bad Customer service

Wow where do I start with this company. I wish I could leave a 0 star review. I initially ordered 3 custom shirts from them. However I did not receive this delivery, when I chased up this issue with Ethic Star this is when all the problems began. The company basically called me a liar stating that the delivery was and that they would need to contact there delivery partners. I asked them provide a proof of delievery which would of been a signature had it been delivered, they avoided contact with me, often holding my calls when saying they are transferring me across different departments. Eventually I spoke with a guy from their operations department by the name of Sam who was very aggressive, argumentative and spoke with disparging tone. Very unprofessional. I eventually received a refund but this was 20+ days after constant complaining and phone calls. They need to understand the fundementals of customer service and customer handling.

Undelivered order and no refund

Before placing an order a few weeks before Christmas I asked for confirmation if they were able to embroider 7 hoodies and deliver in time for the holidays, I was reassured yes so processed the payment. A week later I hadn't heard anything so chased to confirm if they had been made or posted, a week later I eventually hear back to say that they would check on the status of the order. Another week goes by and I chase again with no feedback. A week a half before Christmas Day I get an email saying the hoodies had been dispatched, which clearly meant they had been produced weeks after I was assured they would be and wouldn't arrive in time.
The communication to then track the hoodies and understand where they were and when they'd arrive was shocking.
I have since asked for a refund after never having received the hoodies, and have only received short-hand and abrupt emails saying I won't be getting one.
Terrible experience.

Missing item never resolved

Ordered a few times with no problem, but then one order came with one item missing - its now been over a month and I have not received a refund or the actual item. Emailing gets me nowhere, as does calling. Only going round in circles - fantastic service if the order comes correctly, but not if something is wrong..

I still have not received a refund !
Will not be ordering from them ever again!

Excellent business cards and stamp

Excellent business cards and stamp - very pleased. It is just a shame that they come from abroad and therefore take longer to arrive, unless you pay a substantial amount for postage, which, for a charity venture I did not want to do. Otherwise - well done!

THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS, DON'T DO IT!!

If I could give zero stars I would.
This company was bad from start to finish.
Last week of July I began making enquiries about some personalised t-shirts for a business event on the 8th of September, my order was not complete until 7th September! printing was not consistent throughout and customer service was absolutely abysmal. I emailed them almost every day often followed by a call. they couldn't understand what I was asking them to do despite me colour coding the order form, they invoiced me incorrectly twice and when you speak to them instead of apologising and moving forward, they want to argue with you and not take any responsibility for the problems. When I went to collect it was exactly the same - I was told that if I wanted something the same colour every time I would have to provide a colour code and it wasn't their responsibility to do so...Firstly, I'm not a printer I'm a customer so if I tell you I don't know what that number is, don't tell me that's not your problem, especially seen as I've already paid you and not one of you asked me for a colour code in the 2 months that we were going back and forth! I then asked if they could take the number that they used for one of the other T-shirts and apply that to the one that they did incorrectly, they told me that they didn't have it and again if I wanted it the same I'd have to give them the number. :-S ... if you don't know what the number is, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO??!!
I've never come across a company that fails to deliver in every single area until EthicStar.
Save yourself the headache and spend a little more money somewhere they can get the job done properly!

I checked the history and we only start the order processing once the order is paid. Since many changes were made the compiling of the quote took time.

Also in the design phase after payment you had requested many changes which caused the delay since the quote and what you requested to change later did not complement the price we quoted

In the design phase we mentioned about PANTONE numbers and also asked to have one sample made up first just in case if not sure. We tried our best to explain PANTONE number on the phone

Since the order was very small we did explain that doing a smaller run batches its not possible to match the ink 100% colour all the time but between batches there will be slight variation.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused but we tried our best to explain each step and printing process as much as possible.

Too late delivery for event despite over week

Ordered personalised robe for bride over a week before and it didn’t arrive in time rendering it useless as it missed the event and as personalised couldn’t be used!
Tried to pay for dinner delivery however was unable due to the process the company use so frustrating and annoying wish I’d ordered elsewhere.

Terrible product and customer service

Terrible product. I ordered over 100 t-shirts and the sizes they claim are uk standard were not correct. I am personally 5ft 5 inches tall, and the extra large t shirts which I ordered are tight on me. After speaking to customer services they have been slow in replying and basically saying its my fault. Stay clear!!!

As part of our terms and condition once the garment is all personalised with customers logo we cannot take returns. Typically customers would first buy a plain sample to check sizing before they place any custom printed t shirt order

Also at the time of the visual phase we also asked you again to have 1 sample made up first so if there is any issues at least you have the option to make any changes to sizing before we run the full production run.

At every stage we have informed the customer

Very disappointed

Very disappointed - I have used this company before, stupidly I gave them a second chance and am really in despair. My show finale costumes are awful. What was supposed to be gold metallic is a brown beige which has no resemblance of metallic gold there’s not even a hint of metallic. The proof they sent me was not even near what the end resulted in - poor poor poor
Plus I was messed around timeframe wise and left waiting on email for days before I prompted numerous times. I have asked them to look into what happened and guess what ... no response!!!
Really bad service all round - the children can’t wear brown stars on their costume it’s supposed to be an anniversary show ... how is this acceptable?

I am very sorry to hear this - I have been through the email exchange and we sent a visual explaining all the ink colour on 15th May.

At the time of the visual phase we also asked you to allow us to make 1 sample first and send it you so that you can view the actual product before doing the full production but you requested to just print the whole order. We also made it clear to you that once printed it will not be possible to return and best practice is to allow 1 sample first so if customer is not happy with the ink colour being used we can adjust.

Please do note in the design phase we explained everything with clear visuals and requested you to allow us to make the 1 sample first to avoid any issues but you requested to print the whole order.

However my colleague Sam will call you on this matter as well and try to help resolve the issue for you so we can come to an amicable solution for you
