Also known as "BathrobesUK". A catalogue of errors made worse by lack of any customer service and total ignoring of my emails. I placed an order for 7 personalised bathrobes on 7th Dec 2018. They did indeed arrive amazingly quickly, and had the embroidery been correct I would have been delighted. But it was different to the style advertised and selected on their website. After one response offering an apology and gesture compromise which i accepted, I heard nothing more. As subsequent emails accepting their offer were ignored, I telephoned, to be fobbed off by 'Jamie' with a "you need to submit another email but here's my direct line phone number if no one responds". No one did. Neither did anyone answer the phone number supplied. After a 4 week period during which I feel I was extremely patient, polite and tolerant (given the time of year and allowing plenty leeway for the festive season) I have still got nowhere. If anything miraculously improves, I'll update this review.

UPDATE - you have replied asking for my email address or order code but don't say how you want me to get this information to you. Your inbox must be full of emails from me. Are you asking me to send yet ANOTHER?

Received my item after 1 month silence

I placed the order on 10.12.18 , and when I ask customer service will I receive my order before Christmas as it is Christmas present for my friend, customer service wrote me back that yes, I will receive it, but I am still waiting for it and I don't know how long I will need to wait, or I will receive it at all or not, as nobody is answering the phone ( i am calling everyday ) and nobody is replying to my emails back.
EDITED : When i wrote that I want to get a refund, straight away i have received a reply that they can send my order today and i have received it next day. Thank you.
P.S. if you ordered black towel ( i ordered black towel with personalised writing in gold ) be careful with washing as after washing there is no golden letter anymore but now they are black too ). Order ID: 734082

Order cancelled with no communication

Order cancelled with no communication, no time to reorder for Xmas!

Called to request delivery update, they told me that it was being processed, then told me one item was out of stock, I asked which item and could I get a different colour, he told me it was a onesie (all items were onesies) and that was fine, I asked which onesie and he kept repeating that it was a onesie, I asked which other colours were available, he needed to speak to his supervisor, put me on hold for 10 mins, then told me they’ve emailed me, read my email address out wrong, then told me it’s too late for my Xmas order, I asked if the other items were on their way and was told that I should check my acc more regularly because they refunded me and I wouldn’t get my order and they’d emailed me, I attempted to tell him he has my email wrong and he wouldn’t listen and just kept repeating that they’d emailed me.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and they put me on hold for 5 mins (hideous hold music) before cutting the call off!

In shock at how i was spoken to twice refusing to help at all

Follow on from their response. When calling to speak with Adam as requested the man who I originally spoke with answered he proceeded to argue with me saying he never said he would help me he continually interrupted me when I was trying to talk and was very unprofesional. I stated that after reading other reviews and the way everything had been handled I wanted a refund this close to Xmas. Of course Adam wasn't available. When Adam finally rang me after back and fourth emails he too was extremely unprofessional continually interrupting me when I was trying to talk repeating himself over and over with no intention of trying to resolve the bad customer service I had received so far. He said he would have to escualte this further and I have sent 3 emails asking what is happening and now of course all contact has stopped. I have never been dealt with in this way before I was shocked in just how unprofesional their business is especially again as nearly all other companies be it big or small send u an email to check that you are happy with the personalised product you are ordering before shipping out. They do not so no wonder so many orders go wrong. If you are not going to proof the product they need have a warning on their website and also clearly stating that if you don't want anything on the back or front to leave it blank then less people will be unsatisfied. Update they have now messaged to say they have decided to not help me at all and have almost dared me to take it further this says it all do not shop with them as they have no ethics at all and are an extremely dodgy company of things go wrong.

personalised hoodies

My perosnalised hoodies arrived this morning and they are absolutly gorgeous! great quality, warm and cozy. love it!
EthicStar answered all my questions patiently, and i needed them for a special occasion, was scared they not going to arrive in time and it did! im so pleased
I really recommend this website for any personalised clothes.
I will definetly order from here again.

Never have I had such incredible customer service... Junior was so friendly and accommodating to a quick turnaround for personalised robes and we couldn't be happier with the final result. Wrong Colours Printed & Terrible Customer Service

We ordered 100 aprons with our logo & they arrived but the colours are way off, The colour matching is absolutely terrible. I am currently waiting on someone to call me but customer service does not seem to be a priority for Ethicstar. I should have read some of the reviews of the company before ordering, as i did not know what i was getting myself into. We now have 100 aprons that we cannot use and no budget to buy more from another supplier.

Print and T-shirt quality is good, poor customer care

Print and T-shirt quality is good. However customer service is NONE existent! Jusf awful! I was going to be a long standing customer because of the great price and fast service, but I have been put off completely, I rather pay double and receive proper customer care. We have ordered 50 T-shirts, 12 of them was unusable due to paint splatters on the front and oil marks. So we had to do an other minimum order of 50 , you would think we would of been offered some kind of an apology and compensation.After 3weeks of waiting on a decision(which by than we totally missed the deadline), we got offered £5 off of our next order (minimum of 50tshirts!) which I found insulting! Sales team promised every time they will call back, which they never did, we had to chase them , over the phone they were rude and not one bit caring. Manager was never available.... Massive haedache ,nothing else! In the end we told them they can keep their cham change, but we need the T shirts, so did order an other 50 for full price and some more as they didn't have the t-shirts we tested,had to get different brand, but had no time left at this point to test it so of course the sizeing was off. Well surprise only 4 of them was unusable this time! I guess that is an improvement... Stay away from them!Doesn't worth the hustle.

I am very sorry to hear this and the issue you had. Our system does show we tried to call and also emailed on the compensation on the 12 pieces which you had an issue with. We did reply straightaway

1) We did reply on this and offered discount on the 12 pieces you had an issue with below email exchange. We also did offer to have them replaced also

2) We did try to contact your partner as well but it would have been best if you had given your direct number that would have quicken the resolution

3) You mention you had a deadline but we checked in the email when you placed the order no deadline was given?

However moving forward we have asked the accounts dept to compensate you further hope that is ok?

I have used Ethicstar for a few years…

I have used Ethicstar for a few years now for my company Fairway Cruises and I always have an order rush, yet they manage to get the order completed and to you on time, every time. Embroidered baseball caps, polo shirts I regularly order are always correct. Just be sure to get the right ones for you, there are many to choose from. Very competitive on prices too. Always helpful and courteous their aim is to get the job done and they do.
They are the best at their game! Rob Grant.

We would really recommend Ethic star

We would really recommend Ethic star. We were close to the end of term and really wanted to get some hoodies for our year 6 leavers. I called Ethic star as we had some query with the size of hoodies we needed for our larger children. The staff were really helpful and we place our order which arrived in time for the leavers party, the embroidery was perfect and every name was spelt correctly. Amazing and thank you.

Fast and high quality

Incredible service! They were able to set, master, produce and delivery 10 tshirts for a stag in 2 days. High quality tshirts, fantastic finish, everyone was very happy. Would highly recommend and would use again!

Disappointing

Initially, when we opened the box of leavers hoodies we were delighted but the sizes were all far too small. It was an endless hassle working out what would fit who. They use various shirt suppliers and the sizing is all off. It’s such a shame as the design was great but the quality of the shirts is very poor and they shrink after the first wash. It took months of phone calls and emails to resolve all the issues. Finally, it seemed like we were done when I realised I had made a mistake with one child’s name. I wrote to apologise and offered to pay full price to replace it, obviously, but they refused to print a single item. One child in the year has been left with an unwearable shirt as a result and they couldn’t care less.

I am very sorry to hear the item did not fit. We always do request customers to buy a plain sample to check sizing first before placing any custom printed orders

Since our machines need a min order run it will be hard to just reprint just 1 - We appreciate you are willing to pay but the machines need a min order run.

Below is the replacement order. The item I made a mistake on is ********* (not *****as shown in the order below). Please may I order a replacement for delivery on the 19th as suggested. If you can send me an invoice asap I will pay this evening over the phone. I have so many emails relating to this order I’m unable to check that this name is spelt correctly within the 18 on the back. I assume it will be as the design was unchanged for the replacements just the size. However, if you could double check this for me i would appreciate it. Delivery address remains the same.
