Comfortable well furnished apartment in a great location. Everything I needed.

Great experience with only one exception. My stay was extended twice, every time the electronic access to the apartment was not extended and I was locked out. It was eventually resolved, but annoying nonetheless specially the second time. You would expect that the first time was an accident and that it should be corrected and noted to avoid repeating it.

Great location, but the apartment needs serious maintenance

The apartment is in a fantastic location on the Upper East Side—a quiet, safe, and pleasant neighborhood. It also offers decent amenities: kitchenware is provided, the Wi-Fi works well, and support was responsive. When I called with issues, someone answered and made a real effort to help.

Unfortunately, the condition of the apartment itself was disappointing. It clearly needs major repairs and updates. The gas stove didn’t work, and the drawers beneath it wouldn’t close, leading to a gas leak. The air conditioner was excessively loud, and the replacement didn’t fit properly behind the blinds. The ironing board was unstable, and the toilet didn’t flush correctly due to a faulty flap.

Another point to note: the lease says 30 days, but you only get to stay 29 nights. It feels a bit misleading. I should have read the fineprint.

Overall, while the location and support were strong, the poor condition of the apartment made the experience frustrating.

I liked the apartment unit, the related services, and the building staff.

The Front Desk Staff was amazing. Always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and any small issue was resolved immediately. We will definitely return if we stay in Jersey City again.

FQ delivered! We had to depart our residence due to renovations. The accommodation was pristine and communication impeccable. I never heard of Furnished Quarters so was very nervous, rest assured they are a leader in the industry!

I loved the location, the friendly and helpful concierge staff, the ease of use of everything and the common area, plus the overall comfort of the unit. Only a few areas to consider:
1) there was no cooking ventilation provided other than the windows a long way from the kitchen, so I set the smoke detector off many times searing meat normally, and it was difficult to shut off with the broom provided, though I was able to manage eventually.
2) the kitchen was lacking certain utensils such as a cheese grater, tongs, knife sharpener, grill pan (though the chopping board welcome gift was a nice touch!)
3) the two TVs are both massive and I needed to use one as a monitor with my laptop for a lot of music editing during my six week stay, so the only solution I could find was to put the slightly smaller one on the windowsill and the desk in front, as it was far too big for the desk provided. It would have been great to have a desk/tv combo that fit together, but I got the work done with my improvised setup.

Otherwise everything was great and I would generally recommend for business trips! Compliments especially to the staff.

The aparmtnet was clean and well maintained and the staff was very responsive to any questions or concerns. There was construction on the aparmtnet next door so there was a lot of noise on some days.

Jeanette was a pleasure to work with. She was always checking in on me making sure I had everything I needed. Should I ever need relocation assistance again I would definitely prefer that she takes care of me.

I did hear from Mr. Gary Brown, a Co-Founder and Owner, and he took the time to listen to and consider each and every comment, criticism and appraisal. Shortly afterward, he addressed every deficiency and explained how each had either already been corrected or are in the process of correcting!
Based on this swift personal response and my faith that Mr. Brown will correct the remainder of the issues, I am amending my experience to 4 stars.
I have had to use short term (1-3 month) furnished rentals for a while and I have never received a response, much less a phone call from an Owner! This definitely demonstrates a class apart from the usual! And I do trust Mr. Brown to keep his word and correct All of the deficiencies.
Additionally, I want to restate, the Representatives I dealt with were the best I've ever encountered. Especially Nell, who is a Star in every way! Furnished Quarters is very fortunate to have her and will be fortunate to keep her. She's the kind of person every company hopes to find!

I just received this request so I'm responding. I believe I have already filled out your request, but just in case...
First, It is important to give credit when it's due. All of Furnished Quarters Representatives were very helpful. Nell Quinn-Gibney was exceptional in every way! Nell really went above and beyond. She was always not only professional, but listened and remembered and responded! She was extremely kind and patient. On 6 April I wrote an email to Mr. Gary Brown, a Co-Founder of Furnished Quarters, detailing the issues that were disappointments during my stay. To begin with, my apartment was not clean, much less "sanitized" as FQ advertizes. And it had not been cleaned for a long time. The dirty utensils, grease and caked on dust was prevalent. In my email I detailed all the issues. I was so surprised and disappointed. I told Mr. Brown that my apartment said "You don't deserve the conditions, the type of apartment someone paying the Corporate Rate deserves."
Nell Quinn-Gibney of course did offer for someone to come in and clean, but the cleaning/santizing And addressing the multiple other problems! would have taken so much more than that.
Thank you for reading this. I'm hoping someone will respond to me and address the issues. Reading about the Founders, the Browns' dedication and their desire to serve and welcome Everyone! was a reason for renting from Furnished Quarters. But sadly I can't imagine someone renting a second time with Furnished Quarters after this experience. The videos I received did not reflect my experience.

The good: Building and concierges are helpful and welcoming. Suite is well laid out. Location was generally quiet. Cleaning was well done. Full size washer & dryer a big plus. Gym was clean and usually pretty empty. Emails to support were responded to in a timely manner.
To improve: The mattress is not comfortable - it took two pads to make it right for me. Knives were all dull - I brought and purchased my own. There aren't enough trash cans - there should be one in the bedroom as well. Fairly minor stuff.
Overall though, I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 weeks and were blown away by how large it was and its unbeatable proximity to all the shops and restaurants in Marylebone and Mayfair.

Very proactive management team and clean space. They brought additional towels when requested and we really enjoyed the space being cleaned every weeks.

Everything is at your doorstep here, we loved staying in this neighbourhood. Beautiful outdoor space was such a treat to have in this part of London.

But, this space truly feels like a corporate stay. There isn't much "extra" on site in the kitchen and some of the features are quite run down - e.g., handles falling off bathroom knobs, no practical storage solution in bathrooms, difficulty closing some of the doors. The walls are also incredibly thin - we thought that there was someone in our apartment several times but it was just a neighbouring space.

Overall, this place is worth it for its size and location which are unbeatable. But if you are sensitive to noises from neighbours, this may not be the place for you. We are appreciative of everything the management team helped us with and would give the service 5 stars and the apartment itself 3.5.

Everything was going well untill my check out.

I received an email saying that, If I don't return the keys, they would be charging to the company. And the real issue was that I never received those keys because on my check in I only received one set of keys. (Without my name labeled, or the emergency set of keys)

Everything was just perfect except for the TV it kept turning off and we had to turn it back on again. The box of goodie’s was a nice touch. I enjoyed it. Thank you.
