Cassettes in inch of water had to be thrown, box being left outside in rain. Glass stool cracked, 2 metal side tables scratches, tv screen had marks. Hifi left in rain, water in vents, will not work. Gouges to brown consol unit, broken ornate mirror, the round white plastic globe of lamp that I saw being dropped and bounce like a ball on the van, huge crack and marks. Oily dirty sack badly marking stairs carpet in old house. Van dissappearing and late twice. DO NOT RISK IT! A QUALITY MOVE MUCH BETTER THAN SAVING MONEY! OUTRAGEOUS!

Very disappointing experience.
We signed up to the platform expecting clear and transparent pricing. However, during the initial registration process, the charges for individual leads were not clearly highlighted. After activation, we were charged for leads despite not having secured or completed any jobs through the platform.
As a small business, unexpected costs like this are extremely frustrating — especially when no work was carried out and no revenue was generated. When we raised our concerns, the company maintained that the pricing was “clearly stated” and insisted the invoice remained payable, offering only a small goodwill reduction.
We feel the pricing structure could be made much clearer at the outset to avoid situations like this. I would strongly advise other businesses to carefully review all terms and take screenshots before activating their account.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this service.

However, I do need to address one point directly, as what you’ve described is not consistent with how the process works on our side. The cost per lead is clearly displayed before activation of the full membership, at the point where payment details are entered to proceed. At that stage, all pricing information is visible and must be acknowledged in order to complete activation.
We are very focused on transparency around costs, and this is exactly why pricing is shown upfront prior to any activation or commitment. In addition, we also offer a free trial period where all costs are visible before any ongoing usage.
I also think it’s important to clarify how the service works. We are not an agency selling guaranteed jobs, but a platform that generates qualified quote requests from individuals who have expressed interest in receiving moving estimates for a potential relocation.
As such, it is completely normal that some leads convert into actual jobs while others do not. That is the nature of a lead generation model. If the service did not perform or provide value, we would not have over 6,000 active companies using the platform over the last 10+ years.
That said, we always take feedback seriously, even when we see things differently, and I’m sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
Quick, Simple and Effective Service
I used Getamover.co.uk to find a removal company for my recent move, and the process was straightforward from start to finish. I filled in the details once and quickly received multiple quotes, which saved me a lot of time compared to contacting companies individually.
A mover reached out almost immediately, and the matching process felt efficient and relevant to what I needed. The platform makes comparing options easy and removes a lot of the usual stress involved in organising a move.
I’ve used the service before and would use it again. It does exactly what it says, connects you with suitable movers quickly and without hassle.

Useless. Claims to give you quotes but just collects your data to pass on to removal companies.Could have done that myself.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience, but I need to clarify a few important points as your comments are not accurate.
We do not generate “fake leads”. All the requests we provide come from real consumers who actively submit a quote request for a potential move. What can happen in some cases is that the customer may not respond afterward or may decide not to proceed with the move but this does not mean the initial request is fake.
Regarding cancellations, it is also not correct that you continue being charged after closing your account. You are only charged for leads that have already been delivered while your account was active. There is no ongoing commitment, no hidden obligation, and no charges after cancellation.
We understand frustration can arise when expectations around conversion are not met, but it’s important to be clear on how the model works: we provide real quote requests, not guaranteed jobs.
If the service was not delivering real value, we would not have been operating for over 10 years, with more than 6,000 active companies using the platform and thousands of consumers successfully completing their moves.
That said, we’re always open to constructive feedback, but I wanted to make sure the facts are correctly represented.

Avoid this company and GM-Movers.com
Avoid this company and GM-Movers.com (which apparently changed its name to Excellent Removals Ltd) - I strongly advise against them as well as using GM-Movers.com (now Excellent Removals Ltd).
GetAMover seems to be dispatching your details to other removal companies that are not properly vetted. I had the awful experience of being contacted by gm-movers.com through GetAMover.
Everything seemed fine at first, quick responses, and polite communication. But once they collected my items, communication stopped completely for four days. They ignored my emails and calls, and even the platform couldn’t reach them. I reported to the police as well as to Citizen Advice/ Trading Standards.
Later, they claimed my shipment weighed 60 kg more than I had measured but refused to provide proper proof, only sending a short video of a screen showing the weight. They wouldn’t deliver my belongings until I paid an extra £200, leaving me no choice.
Delivery took nearly a month, and when my items finally arrived, the boxes were wet, muddy, and damaged, with some furniture broken.
Their professionalism disappeared after collection, polite before, rude and unhelpful after. They took my belongings hostages until I pay extra money.
Dishonest, unreliable, and not worth the stress. Avoid them. They are a bunch of thieves !
