The audacity of ghosting interview…

The audacity of cancelling an interview two hours before it was due to take place, asking me to reschedule for the following day and provide times that suited me, only to then completely ghost me, is astounding.

I responded within an hour despite having already invested significant time preparing for the interview. From that point onwards, I heard absolutely nothing. No confirmation. No follow-up. Not even the courtesy of a phone call or a brief email to acknowledge my response.

I understand that schedules change and unexpected circumstances arise. What I don't understand is the complete lack of professionalism and basic respect for a candidate's time and effort. Interviews require preparation, research, and emotional energy. (I even had slides prepped)
The very least any company can do is communicate honestly and promptly.

How an organisation treats candidates during the hiring process says a great deal about its culture. Unfortunately, this experience left me with the impression that candidates' time and commitment are considered far less valuable than the company's own.

Disappointing, discourteous, and entirely avoidable.

Lost my money!

I did a ISA transfer over a week ago the new bank does not have my funds and have said its with Chip. Who cannot locate the money. I've sent 5 in app messages over the last 3/4 days and 3 emails all of which have been ignored. I can see that someone is active on the in app chat but hasn't bothered to deal with my messages about losing an awful lot of money. I want to withdraw my money and get it out as I don't trust them as a bank anymore, it says the funds are in Chip but I've been told they aren't actually with Chip. So where is my money? How have they lost it? Terrible customer service, by that I mean the only way to contact them is in app, and they can chose to just not reply to you.

Really good and useful app

Really good and useful app. I find it simple to use and clear. Competitive interest rates and ISAs are instant access and flexible which is a positive for me. Customer support is spot on, quick to reply to issues.

Chip have a great support team…

Chip have a great support team regarding any issues or questions I might have.
They respond time is excellent and they always inform you that they have received my enquiry.
The website is strong but easy enough to navigate their products.

"Smart" Cash ISA is rubbish

The new "Smart" ISA doesn't seem to work. Can't transfer to / from my instant access account - it doesn't even show up as an option. And whereas transfers out from the old Cash ISA to my bank account were instant, the new one is "next working day". Except it isn't - after 24 hours it's still showing as "pending". Not possible to access chat. They're "busier than normal". I bet they are if this fiasco is widespread. AVOID THESE JOKERS.

The Smart Cash ISA has different features to our previous Cash ISA, including next working day withdrawals rather than instant withdrawals. We're sorry if this wasn't the experience you were expecting.

I wanted clarification before…

I wanted clarification before transferring my Cash ISA to the new Smart Cash ISA product as I previously had an issue which Chip had recently resolved. A clear detailed reply was sent by Alex which meant I could go ahead with the transfer.

A shame really

A shame really, 2+ great years with Chip, spoiled by recent tactics to force users to move to the new "smart" cash ISA. Interest dropped from 3.5% to 1% (with a month's notice) and while their new account offers 0.25% more, instant withdrawals are replaced by next day withdrawals. It's the principle I don't like, forcing customers to either do as Chip says and switch to their other product, or leave (or face an abysmal 1% interest rate). Shop around, competitors offer better features alongside higher interest rates.

Avoid, they don't commit to their offerings...

Opened an ISA in April at 3.5% thinking they would be loyal to their promise but unfortunately they can't be true to their word and 2 months later have dropped their interest to only 1% and have said I can't pay another penny in this year either leaving me stuck. I cannot open another ISA with anybody else in this tax year, Chip say I can transfer to another account with them but I have no trust with them at all anymore. No choice but to take my money out. I might as well store it under the mattress these days!!!!!

Helpful with a potential hacking issue

I was worried my account may be hacked after I'd had a dodgy phone call from a number I didn't recognise. I messaged Chip and they were incredibly friendly and helpful, blocking my account immediately and guiding me through the stages of verification. They couldn't have been more helpful. Everything is now good and I wasn't hacked but you can't assume anything nowadays
