Planning is easy. Hotel locations - not always
Planning is easy since trips include air, hotel and train between cities. I only wish you had a better understanding of WHERE the hotel would be in relationship to the city centers. Mestre vs. Venice was fine since the hotel was across the street from train station. North of Florence was relatively convenient and walkable. Our hotel in Rome was far from any sights and required a metro, bus (plus a 8-10 minute walk) or taxi to return from touring the city and Vatican.I like GVV because we don't like to be a part of a tour group.

The trip gave us a wonderful overview of Ireland! The flights to and from Ireland were very well planned! We had enough time to make our connections, but didn't have to wait hours between them. In other words, we weren't exhausted before the trip began! The bus trip around the country was very well organized, and diverse.

We chose this package because it was such a great deal and the hotel was centrally located in Waikiki. Unfortunately the flight times were a bit wonky.

This is not our first booking with GGV…
This is not our first booking with GGV and things have changed over the years, The flexibility of extending a trip is one of our favorite things. The hotels 7/10 are usually in a great location and a great choice. I believe they have lost some of their buying power on the flights because to fly from the United States to Europe you no longer have one or two flights but four. The ability to select your seats is also lost and you now always board last. Not GGV fault but when a problem at a hotel or event comes up the excuse of “you booked with a third party sorry” is always used, is extremely frustrating.

This was my second trip with Great…
This was my second trip with Great Value Vacations and everything was perfect! We had an amazing rail trip through Ireland and everything went very smoothly throughout the entirety of our trip! The only hiccups we had were due to our own lack of reading information thoroughly (!), as it was recommended to book our train tickets at the first station but we missed that part of info and the booking offices were closed further into the trip (even though online it said they’d be open!). However, Ireland rail was very accommodating and let us get on the train using our GVV vouchers rather than tickets - no hassle whatsoever. The hotels were amazing and in great areas! Our favorite stop was Killarney and we wished for more time in the countryside, as we found Dublin a bit overwhelming for our tastes (and for a family of five) but we did found things to keep us entertained. We would have preferred to visit the Irish Emigration Museum (EPIC) at the start of our journey so we could have been better informed of various Irish history prior to traveling westward, but again - we could have prepared better! On our departure day, our flight was cancelled and we were automatically rebooked on another outbound flight - amazing service. I highly recommend using Great Value Vacations and know that I will book again. My two sisters have already said they will use GVV in the future! Thank you!

Tuscany made simple
The castle we stayed at was authentic and beautiful. The staff was wonderful and helpful. We went to the village for supplies and only speaking very little Italian. We made friends with the shop keepers and enjoyed the simpler life style, than our current. We had a car there and the location was a great home base for us.

A nice quickie trip
We got exactly what the itinerary stated. Flight, transportation, all inclusive. It was great our room was exactly the one described with a walk up pool. The private transportation was so simple and not at all imitating. Would 100% recommend for a quick getaway

Very disappointed
I have booked several trips with great value vacations in the past and this was the first time I was disappointed. The hotel in St. Thomas was not up to par. We were there for four days and housekeeping only came once to switch out our towels.and empty the trash. The pool was closed the entire time we were there when we asked at the front desk, Repeatedly were told that it would be opened shortly, but it remained closed for the entire time we were there. Our stay room came with a breakfast buffet, where they served the exact same thing every morning. The fruit was rotten, the yogurt was expired and the eggs were cold. The only way to get to the beach from this hotel was to take $25 taxi ride each way.

The property follows the housekeeping schedule of Hampton by Hilton which is every other day service. For your 3 nights stay, the schedule would have provided 1 scheduled housekeeping service. Of course, if a guest needs something they are welcome to reach out to the Front Desk.

The flight was good and the hotel is wonderful. The staff at the resort was friendly and helpful. We were in a garden view room, which was perfect! Open the sliding door and we have our own patio and walk to the pool and the beach. We like the reuseable water bottle and filling station around the hotel. Save me some money by not having to buy bottled water! I would have like a slightly bigger fridge, but we managed. Hotel activities, not just for the kids, we, adults enjoyed it very much. I would come back to Outridgger. Mahalo!

Traveling to Portugal
Traveling to Portugal, the beginning of September ended up being a bit more hot than we expected. However, the hotels were phenomenal as always. We absolutely fell in love with Porto Portugal. Our flights back we experienced exceptional customer service on Lufthansa. This is the eighth trip we’ve booked through great value and have never been disappointed. Great value is for sure our go to when planning any of our international trips.

Not As Advertised
When I booked this trip “All” Transfers and Hotel Taxes were included. This is Not True !
I paid over $ $225.00 for taxi rides and hotel taxes. Also, the planing on air flights needs to be looked into. We lost two days because on the times the flights. For example, we left on Sep 7 @ 3:35 and arrived on the 8th late in the morning. Another flight left so early in the morning we only go three hours of sleep so we could be pick up by our driver so when we arrived at our next destination we were exhausted. Lost another day sleeping. Our 9 day trip was actually only five exploring days.

When booking through our website, we provide the following notation regarding what is included:
“Includes airfare & airport taxes, transfers, hotels, rail, tours and daily breakfast. Additional baggage charges may apply.”
To clarify:
Airfare and airport taxes were included in your vacation package.
Airport transfers were included in your vacation package.
Hotels were included in your vacation package. Hotel taxes are not specifically listed, as in most cases these are paid locally at the hotel.
Regarding your flights, our website provides a “See All Flight Options” button, which allows clients to review and select from alternate flight options if the flights initially presented are not suitable.
We also note that most international flights are overnight. With this in mind, the seven-night hotel portion of your package was based on your arrival date, with the stay concluding upon check-out after the seven-night period.
