From start to finish the service i received was fantastic. I can't fault it any way from the care in the hospital and the service from the drivers the hotel was like a vip experience .would highly recommend it to family and friends. Thank you so much to the whole team from health care abroad ❤️

What can I say , for me and my family who were with me , health care abroad are simple the best ,you don't have to go looking for anything they do it all for you they call you make your appointment ,bring you there and back , from the time you leave Ireland your in good hands, just great 👍

From the moment I contacted the office I always felt that I was in good hands. Kevin passed on my information to Chris who’s in Spain mostly and he assured me that I could have my operation done in 3 weeks . So from my first conversation with him on August 10th I was booked in for my op on the 1st September. Had it done in Alicante and the service from Healthcare Abroad was second to none . Transport to and from hospital was provided by Sean and Suzanne and nothing was too much for them . They even took us out for dinner a couple of times . Chris was always on hand if we needed anything. The accommodation was Evoca in Gran Alicante and we had our physio there which was provided by 2 extremely helpful guys Eugenu and Juan. The operation itself was performed by Dr Lucas Kleijn and he was an absolute gentleman . From the time I met him first until after the procedure I always felt at ease with him . I saw him every day while in hospital and even had a follow up call with I got home to check how I was doing
. It’s 5 weeks today since I had me hip replacement and everything’s going great . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend healthcare Abroad if you’re on a waiting list. Make that call Rgds Craig/Celbridge

I cannot say enough good things about Healthcare Abroad. I had a very complex issue that I had spent the last 5 years trying to get correctly diagnosed here in Ireland. Healthcare Abroad assured me that they would get to the bottom of it, and they kept their promise. From the very first phone call, I knew that I was in great hands. Their service makes the whole experience seamless; they handle everything from the paperwork to airport pick-up, and they are available at all your appointments to help translate. I cannot thank them enough for helping me start getting my life back, especially Chris and Joe in Denia, Javier and all the consultants in Madrid.

The whole Experience was outstanding. It was organised completely from start to finish by Healthcare abroad which made it so easy for me, all i had to do was book the flights. From the first phone call to the final Airport journey home was completely stress free. I cannot thank Debbie, Amy and Frankie enough for all their help(and everyone behind the scenes).Amy made every hospital visit effortless and the level of communication was brilliant, always keeping us up to date with appt times, information needed even walking us to the treatment rooms and waiting until we were finished. Frankie, our transfer went above and beyond his job description, even down to collecting medicines and delivering them to our hotel so we didnt have to wait around for them ourselves. Amy and Frankies Knowledge and their fluent spanish made every appointment/procedure easy and flawless. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of getting surgery abroad. An Absolute pleasure to deal with

From the very first phone call to Brian, right thru to flying home the care consideration and information I received was far beyond anything I have experienced in Irish hospitals. The staff, the Drivers, especially Joe, I will never forget your kindness. I have told all my family and friends how professional and caring you all were. Absolutly amazing service. From my initial enquiry the level of professionalism and friendliness was amazing. I travelled on my own but never once felt alone. Suzanne and Sean were absolutely fantastic and took such good care of me. All the hospital staff were so kind and caring. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.....Thank you

I'm so happy that I found Healthcare Abroad on the internet as none of the health professionals I dealt with in Ireland mentioned this company as an option for a total hip replacement. You can choose the surgeon and the time of your trip and I had been looking for a surgeon who does the anterior approach. Dr Kleijn is a brilliant surgeon with a lot of experience and visits his patients after surgery. The hospital is brand new with lovely staff and we couldn't believe how fast the pre-operation tests were conducted. Just don't mention the food which will hopefully be improved!
The whole experience was fantastic -- the team was very helpful in Ireland and the drivers in Spain were super kind and helpful (you know who you are!). Airport runs and trips to the hospital went smoothly and efficiently. The staff in the hotel -- reception, cleaning, maintenance, and buffet -- were all very friendly and helpful as were the local folk staying in the hotel. The hotel food was excellent and the room was huge and luxurious and it was no problem at all to be alone as you could always chat down at the pool with others recovering from operations. Patients were looking out for one another as well and the atmosphere was great. The physiotherapists were also top class and everyone enjoyed the twice daily sessions in the second week. Thanks to them I could get back driving immediately. Wheelchair assistance in the airports went well, even in Dublin where I was wheeled from the plane straight through to a taxi in no time! I highly recommend Healthcare Abroad for elective surgeries.

Staff were super efficient and helpful from the very first call. Nothing was too much to ask and right til the very last minute they were wjth us solving all our problems big or small. Couldn't recommend them highly enough. Shout out to the drivers, Joe Kevin and James especially!

Simply an amazing company to deal with from start to finish. All staff are so friendly with some going above and beyond of what you'd expect. HCA made my experience so smooth, getting met at the airport and transferred to the hotel, back and forth to hospital when required and back to the airport when I was finished. I would highly recommend anybody that is on a waiting list for surgery or awaiting a procedure in Ireland to consider this option. They work with a number of hospitals, mine was HCB Denia and again I can only say good about it, no waiting around and halpful friendly staff most with fluent English. Some HCA staff even came to visit while I was in there. A special thanks to Joe, Kevin and James for making my trip so enjoyable, I've made some friends along the way with other patients also 😊. If your considering this option my advise would be just go for it!! Thanks again to all at HCA!!

I decided to travel to Spain for my hip replacement and once I contacted Health Care Abroad all arrangements were very efficiently processed and weeks later I was on my way. From landing in Alicante to departing two weeks later, Health Care Abroad were top class. I was slightly anxious travelling on my own to Spain for my hip operation but I need not have feared. 1st class care in a 1st class hospital with everything running very efficiently and always informative all the time. The drivers are so thoughtful and caring and they go out of their way to help. The recovery is very comfortable in a beautiful hotel and resting in the sun goes a long way to recovery. We just wanted to thank you and your team again for everything.!!!! We had the best experience.
Starting with our phone calls with you, all details were looked after. It was amazing. Everything was thought out, organised and delivered with such care, empathy, attention to detail and professionalism. I especially appreciated your knowledge about the different types of hip operations and explaining everything to me. Also your diligence in making sure Udo's MRI images were looked at by a surgeon, even before travelling.
The drivers, always generous with their time, went the extra mile to get things for us, bantering to keep our spirits up, making sure we used the right leg going up and down the stairs, bringing us to our destination in the hospital and making sure we all turned up to our appointments.
The staff in the hospital were excellent and also tried to joke with us, even if they only had a few words of english. Hearing them laughing in the corridor was a tonic.
Dr Kleijn is a great surgeon and a gentleman, calling to me before I left the hospital. He even answered emails with questions within an hour.
Udo was also very happy with Dr Saab. He was walking upright again the day after surgery.
Physiotherapy was delivered with such professional gentle care, encouragement, patience and chats. I am also very happy with their aftercare - Physio App and possible on- line sessions.
Artur, our first encounter with the hospital was such a help, bringing us to every appointment and Caterina, also was on standby when we needed help and support. We never had to wait for anything in the hospital. All appointments ran like clockwork. Super teamwork by all concened.
The hotel was also well chosen, beautiful and so close to the hospital (and beach). We were extra lucky with our room facing into the garden area. Sunlounger outside our door!

Had TKR in May. Health care abroad couldn't have been more helpful and caring. I was looked after so well by everyone. The hospital staff and Dr Sendra were brilliant. But what made the whole experience amazing were the drivers, Vincent who collected me at the airport and Joe, Tony, Kevin and James. I returned again in August for another TKR and once again everyone at Healthcare Abroad were brilliant. Thanks for everything guys you were amazing

I recently travelled to Spain for back surgery. HCA were absolutely outstanding. From the minute we arrived in Spain we weren't alone through any part of it, transport to and from the hospital there was always someone to turn to. Joe, Tony,James and Kevin were so helpful not just to me but also my husband who traveled with me. I would highly recommend them.

From the first phonecall to the flight home the staff couldn't be more helpful.
The standard of service was way above my expectations. I will recommend healthcare abroad to everyone I know.

The company’s response is misleading and does not reflect my documented experience!

Healthcare Abroad’s response does not address the central issues raised in my review and contains statements that are incorrect.

I was in regular contact with Healthcare Abroad throughout my treatment while I was in hospital in Germany. I also met directly with the hospital’s administrative staff to ensure that my application would be completed correctly. Before leaving the hospital, I obtained the documentation Healthcare Abroad had told me was required, including a fully itemised bill. I phoned the HCA Manager stating this on the day before I was leaving the hospital.

The claim that the necessary paperwork was not signed “at the outset” does not accurately represent the level of preparation and communication that took place. If any additional form, signature or consent was required, Healthcare Abroad should have identified this clearly and contacted me immediately.

More seriously, Healthcare Abroad cancelled my application after a secretary at the German hospital reportedly stated that I was not pursuing reimbursement. They accepted this without contacting me to verify the information or obtain my instructions before cancelling my application. Had they contacted me, I would have immediately confirmed that I absolutely wished to proceed.

Despite having cancelled my application, Healthcare Abroad continued sending me emails indicating that my application was being processed. I therefore believed that my case remained active when, in fact, it had already been cancelled without my knowledge. This is an extremely serious communication failure.

Their statement that I was “kept informed of the correspondence and progress” is therefore incorrect. I repeatedly had to seek updates myself and received several assurances that I would be kept regularly informed and that my case would be fast-tracked. Those assurances were not fulfilled.

Their website advertises waiting times “as little as 20 days,” says treatment is “FREE,” and states that the company looks after approvals and reimbursements. My experience bears no resemblance to the impression created by these claims. I have now spent over a year trying to pursue reimbursement.

I have retained the relevant emails, documentation and correspondence supporting my account. Rather than dismissing this as a matter of how I “feel,” Healthcare Abroad should acknowledge the documented failures, explain why my application was cancelled without contacting me, explain why I continued receiving processing emails afterwards, and state what concrete action it will now take to resolve my case.

My experience was a God send, The level of efficiency and support was amazing !
I had been messed around with the Irish health care system!
As soon as I spoke to Chris I felt relieved,and very confident with you.
I would highly recommend Healthcare abroad.Still receiving aftercare is amazing support to me .
The hospital was Amazing and very supportive and efficient.
