No show on our meals for the week
So we have been getting food delivered the last few weeks, mostly okay aside from some veg gone off (which has happened more than once) .. But generally okay. However yesterday our box never arrived and I rang hello fresh at 17.30 as we never got any correspondence from Dpd in relation to a delivery. The girl said there was plenty of time for it to be delivered and she would check with DpD and come straight back to me. That didn’t happen !! So at 18.20 I rang again and another girl said the first girl I spoke to was dealing with it and she would let me know if I needed to make alternate dinner arrangements!! I said I had been speaking to her colleague 50 mins ago and heard nothing back when she said she would come right back to me and she corrected me and said it was 20 minutes ago, when it wasn’t ! She said there was plenty of time up to 7pm for the food to be delivered and her colleague would ring us to let us know if we would have the delivery for our dinner as she had no information. The other girl rang just before 7.50pm to say she could not get through to Dpd and would issue a refund and if the box arrived tomorrow then it would be on hello fresh ( but totally missing the point of the box being perishable foods and would hold no use to us. She gave us a tracking number and said thanks for our understanding!! Anyway, it took two seconds on Dpd to see they never received the box from Hello Fresh at all and the two women between them couldn’t find that information out !! They completely lied about the delivery to us.
It was supposed to be a service to bring convenience but this was anything but !! There is zero point in a service like this and paying for it plus relying on it and it just doesn’t turn up … It is really bad form and bad service
I want to give an update on this .. this happened on my sons account and I had cancelled my subscription when this happened and tonight I got charged even though I had no meal plan in for next week and had cancelled my subscription!! It’s actually disgusting to be honest, it is fine for a week or two and then just an absolute farce !! How dare you take money from my account also that was never authorized and I do not wish to purchase !! I strongly would say to give this company a wide birth !!

I put off ordering from Hello Fresh for…
I put off ordering from Hello Fresh for so long thinking it wouldn't work for us but I tried one meal one week and have been ordering three meals for my partner and I per week since for the last month approx. We have really enjoyed the meals, he does most of the cooking and this has excited him again about it, I have been involved on a few and there were easy enough. There is often enough left over for a lunch the following day and it is definitely cutting down on food going to waste. Also the app is great, no notes.

It's adequate, needs improvement in some areas.
We (two adults) have been using HelloFresh for around 6 weeks now.
Pros:
The meals are generally tasty and the recipes are generally well written and easy to follow, even if the timings are too short (we are not all professional cooks!)
Ingredients have all been fine, except for a couple of unripe avocados.
Cons:
The delivery notifications are worse than useless. Every week, I get an email I can to track delivery time. It *always* says "between 8:30pm and 9:30pm mins (sic)" even though delivery is supposed to be before 7pm and it's always arrived between noon and 5pm - sometimes sitting out in the sun because we have nobody home! Have complained about this, am always told it will be rectified the next week, it never is!
When choosing meals, there is no way to search by cooking method. You can't pick, say, "air fryer" or "slow cooker". If you want to cook that way, you'll have to work with the ingredients you have and hope for the best.
The packaging! You'll be left with a big cardboard box (fine), 4 or 5 plastic ice bags, and each meal (for two, in my case) will have between 4 and 6 plastic bags or sachets of herbs, sauces, cheese, meat, etc. There's a *lot* of plastic that can't be recycled.
The expense: It's fine at promotional prices, but €48 (inc. delivery) for six meals is €8/meal... that's on the expensive side for a midweek dinner you have to cook yourself.

My family really enjoy the meals that we cook, however, it really annoys me that new customers are given incentives but those who buy meals week in week out are not rewarded for their loyalty. I spoke to someone from Hello Fresh at a stall one day and he agreed, but nothing has changed.

Will Charge you for boxes you didn't order.
Absolutely terrible service. I cancelled my subscription, was then called by HelloFresh and it was reactivated (even though i did not want it to be) I was charged for a box last week (that i did not order) i rang customer support who refunded me the money and assured me that it would not happen again and that my account had been cancelled.. Well I just got charged for a box i did not order or want again this week. i guess my account was never cancelled and they don't plan on ever stopping charging me or sending me boxes i don't want.
