Our apartment was in a lovely area
Our apartment was in a lovely area, very safe and quiet. The apartment itself had two very nice bathrooms, one nice bedroom and one so tiny you could not walk between the twin beds.
One twin bed broke the first night and the dryer broke the last night. the bed was fIxed by a friendly handyman two days later.
the kitchen waS excellent, the livingroom furniture tired and old. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and found staff helpful and courteous when we had problems.

Mice!
Our first experience, two years ago with HFH was excellent, the second was not. Our second flat had 69 stairs which in and of itself was fine.We were aware of this before we arrived. It was the concentration of mice that were running around the flat that were not fine. We woke up to mouse droppings and they ran under your feet as you sat on couch. I was very disappointed when I suggested we be moved or put into a hotel and was told simply "there were no other options available". HFH's solution was to have an "expert" come and deal with the mice. They put a few traps out which did nothing. When we asked for some compensation we were given a very small amount back. Not sure we will use them again.

We're so sorry about the issues you encountered in the property you booked and completely understand your disappointment. As you are aware we have since discontinued renting the home in question. We now have procedures set in place to avoid it happening again, as both HFH and our owners are extremely conscientious and aware that the comfort of our guests is absolutely paramount.
With regards to moving you to a different property, we would have done so had we been able to source another property during high summer in London.
At no point did a HFH representative suggest to you that you had to stay in the flat and not move to a hotel. We have a strict protocol in such matters of which our team are very well trained. If our customers have genuine & proven complaints about any of our homes they are welcome to leave at any time. You agreed to stay in the flat on the understanding that we gave you some compensation, which we did. You were given a generous amount - part cash and a part reduction on a non refundable deposit for a preceding booking. You were also offered 10% discount on a future stay.
We hope that you will avail of the discount we offered in order for us to try and restore your faith in Home From Home. We would be delighted to welcome you back!

Home from Home is the best !
We used Home from Home when we travelled to London in 2016. We stayed near the Borough Market in a very reasonably priced flat. Home from Home handled our ride to and from the airport making for a trouble-free experience. They did everything they promised and our security deposit was refunded exactly when they said it would be. We had such an enjoyable and trouble-free trip last year we are going back in Nov. 2017 and staying in the same flat. Our trip is all booked and it was as easy as last year. Much better than a hotel and for less money.

The staff was responsive and helpful throughout. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and in a fantastic location. Pictures on the site were accurate and representative of the property. A wonderful two week stay in London that was enhanced by the property.

We had never been to London before and …
We had never been to London before and needed help navigating the options for accommodation. A friend recommended we contact Home from Home. We enjoyed a great customer experience from the first moment when we started to look at rental options. The on line enquiry and booking process is simple and secure. The rental options are wide ranging and the property we rented was well stocked and nicely furnished. Nothing was missing. It truly was our “ home from home” We enjoyed top flight service from the moment we were met at the airport to when we handed over the key as we headed home. One thing is sure, we will be using Home From Home on our next London vacation as well.

NOT a Home Away From Home.
I felt like we were not welcome from the pick up at the airport to our departure. Cab driver blamed us for slow lines at customs. Inadequate demo of alarm.
Did not use washer or dryer or dishwasher as all warnings, including phone suggested sanctions.
WiFi only worked on floor near the portal.
Cable access bad. And when I requested access to parking for rental car they said it had to be arranged in advance. The site states it is available without any of that disclosure.
Finally, it gets two stars instead of one because it is a decent location for access to important lications in London. But that is about it.
Will not use again. Thank you.

Excellent service and amenities
Excellent service and amenities, the flat was as described and when we needed more chairs and more kitchen utensils and glasses, these were immediately provided. Also excellent car service from and to the airport.

Variable Service Standards from Home from Home
The service from Home from Home can vary depending on who manages your booking.
I have used them three times for accommodation in London and the first time in September last year was the best.
Things stepped down in April this year and then down again in Spetember this year.
Specific booking items were missed and the third property was a result of a cancelled booking and no where near the standard I expected.
