Disgraceful service. Do not buy.
Disgraceful service. WARNING: DO NOT BUY.
Boiler broke down after 3 years. I was not allowed to have my own installer fix it under the warranty. It took 4 phone calls, with horrendos times in the queues, to be told I had to wait 4 DAYS WITH NO HOT WATER OR HEATING for their engineer to call.
I wrote a complaint but no reply.

Professional engineer was sent*****
The waiting time over the phone was very long,however as soon as I get to talk to a customer advisor, everything was straight forward.
Initially I only reported a strange noise coming from my boiler and an appointment was set to my convenience. A day later my boiler stopped working and after calling Ideal,the customer service prioritised my appointment 4 days earlier than previous appointment.
A day prior appointment I got a text message letting me know that the engineer will call me at 9am to confirm ETA for the next day.
On the appointment day I was let know when to expect the engineer ,which was 2pm to 4pm
Mr. Edward (engineer) came and fixed my boiler. He was extremely polite and professional. He took time to explain me what was the issue,he didn't leave until he double checked that everything runs perfectly.

Worked well to repair my Bolier that had bigger issues that I imagined and right at the beginning of the cold season.
The work was ALL done as quickly as possible and very clean and organised. Didn’t have to clean up afterwards.

Broken boiler
Our boiler is normally serviced by a local plumbing engineer. When the boiler went wrong he recommended we contact Ideal to fix it. Contacting Ideal was easy and an engineer was tasked to carry out the work.
He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was friendly and helpful, respectful of our property and explained what he was doing at every step.
Very happy with Ideal and would happily use them again in the future.

The Engineer didn't telephone before…
The Engineer didn't telephone before 9am as is policy. I couldn't get through to Ideal on telephone, left a message for them to ring me back but still waiting. Engineer did eventually ring then turned up but basically he couldn't be bothered. Poor service
