Sobre ION8
Escrito pela empresa
ION8 is a British drinkware brand based in Dundee. We make leak-proof water bottles, kids' bottles, travel mugs and flasks — designed so a bottle can go in a bag next to a laptop and stay where you put it. Every bottle in the range is leak-proof. It's the thing we design for first.
Primo — one bottle, three lids
Primo is designed to adapt. Every lid fits every Primo bottle, in every size — Urban for the commute, Revive for training, Roam for the outdoors. Change the lid, keep the bottle.
Triple-wall vacuum insulation with an internal copper coating keeps drinks hot or cold for up to 10 hours, and the outside stays dry — no condensation on a desk or in a bag. Primo won a Red Dot Design Award in 2026. From £29.99, with lids sold separately at £12.99.
Official NBA and NFL bottles
Officially licensed team bottles, built to the same standard as the rest of the range. Same leak-proof lid, same wide opening, in team colours.
We also work with MotoGP and the British & Irish Lions.
Bottles for school
Kids' bottles built for the bag they actually live in. Leak-proof, dishwasher safe, and a wide opening so they can be cleaned properly — not just rinsed. Sizes from 350ml.
Matching lunch bags and slings are available alongside the bottles.
Shop kids' bottles · Lunch bags
Spare parts, not replacements
A worn seal shouldn't mean a new bottle. We stock replacement lids, seals, straws and filters for the current range. ION8 is certified carbon neutral across all operations, and holds a German Design Award and a King's Award.
What to know about ION8
Escrito pela empresa
- Leak-proof across the whole range
- Every ION8 bottle, mug and flask is leak-proof. It can go in a bag next to a laptop, a change of clothes or a packed lunch and stay where you put it. It's the thing we design for first.
- Lids, seals and straws sold separately
- A worn seal shouldn't mean a new bottle. We sell replacement lids, seals, straws and filters for the current range, so a bottle can be kept going rather than replaced.
- Hot or cold for hours
- Insulated ION8 bottles use triple-wall vacuum insulation with an internal copper coating. Drinks stay hot or cold for hours, and the outside stays dry — no condensation on a desk or in a bag.
- Bottles for school and lunch bags
- ION8 kids' bottles are built for the bag they actually live in. Leak-proof, dishwasher safe, and a wide opening so they can be cleaned properly. Matching lunch bags and slings are available too.
- One bottle body, three lids
- Primo is our modular range. Every lid fits every Primo bottle in every size, so a straw lid for the commute and a screw top for the weekend work on the same bottle. Lids are sold separately from £12.99.
- Personalised and engraved
- Bottles, travel mugs and flasks can be personalised with a name. These are made to order, so they can't be returned unless faulty.
- Free UK delivery over £40
- UK orders over £40 ship free on Royal Mail Tracked 48, with Tracked 24 available as an upgrade. Europe is free over £60, and the rest of the world over £70.
- Designed in the UK
- ION8 is a British drinkware brand based in Dundee. The Primo range won a Red Dot Design Award in 2026, and ION8 holds a German Design Award from 2024 and a King's Award from 2025.
- Certified carbon neutral
- ION8 is certified carbon neutral across all operations. Products are designed to be reused rather than replaced, which is why spare parts are stocked for the current range.
- Buying from the US
- US customers should order from ion8.com, which carries the core collection and ships domestically. The UK site ships internationally, but shipping costs apply.
30 days to change your mind

My orders are always delivered in a timely fashion, and the bottle is sturdy and leakproof, with a lovely design.
My only 'wish' is that the bottle lids were more durable, as my SEN child bites everything and I am having to replace the lid repeatedly. My main reason for buying was that these are supposed to be hardy.

Resposta da ION8
Hello Anne-marie,
Timely delivery, sturdy build, leak-proof performance, and a design you love - that's really good to hear. We're glad the bottles are working well for you overall.
On the lid durability with your SEN child who bites everything: we completely understand that's frustrating when you chose ION8 specifically for hardiness. The bottles themselves are built to take knocks and drops, but the soft silicone seals and spout are designed for drinking comfort rather than chewing resistance, so they won't hold up to repeated biting the way the bottle body does. It's a fair point, and we appreciate you raising it - feedback like yours helps us understand real-world use.
If replacing lids becomes a recurring cost concern, please do get in touch via our website contact form and mention this review - we'd like to see if there's anything we can do to help.
Thanks for your continued orders and for sharing this honest feedback.

Fantastic bottles. We have used this since Christmas (we being my 3 year old, 7 year old, myself and my husband!) and no signs of wear and tear. Will be looking to buy these again in the future!

Hello Amelia,
Four bottles in daily use since Christmas - a 3-year-old, a 7-year-old, and two adults - and still no signs of wear. That's exactly the kind of real-world test we design these for, and it's brilliant to hear they're holding up so well across the whole family.
We're glad they're working out, and we'd be delighted to see you back when the time comes.

Hard-wearing and good quality for the grandkids - that's exactly what these bottles are built for, and it's lovely to hear you chose ION8 for them. Kids can be tough on their gear, so knowing they'll stand up to daily use is what matters.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share this.

Ordered again for larger volume! S size Recyclon was in use for more than 4 years (by a toddler) and it still doesn't leak and is in perfect shape. I am also very pleased with straightforward online order process - customer experience 👌

Hello Eva,
Four years of daily use by a toddler with zero leaks and still in perfect shape - that's the kind of longevity we build these bottles for, and it's wonderful to hear yours has stood the test of time so well. Coming back for a larger size after that experience speaks volumes.
We're also really pleased the ordering process was smooth and straightforward - that matters just as much as the product itself.
Thanks for choosing ION8 again.

Hello Londongirl,
Iceland with two compact, leak-proof bottles - perfect choice for the trip. Smaller sizes are ideal when you're travelling light, and knowing they'll stay completely sealed in your bag makes all the difference.
Really pleased they're working out exactly as you'd hoped.

These bottles are great
These bottles are great. These are really good quality and the Recyclon ones help my daughter see how much water she is drinking. The black one is a bit too dark though, so I wouldn't advise that one for this purpose. Customer service are always great with ION8 and I now buy from them everytime for bottles for my daughter for school. Thanks again for a great experience.

Hello Shikha,
The Recyclon bottles helping your daughter track her water intake - that's exactly the kind of everyday win we love to hear about. You're absolutely right about the black one being harder to see through; the lighter Recyclon colours definitely work better for monitoring how much has been drunk throughout the day.
It's really lovely to know we've become your go-to for school bottles, and that our customer service has consistently been there when you've needed us. That kind of trust means a great deal.
Thanks for sticking with us.

Hello Greg,
Your daughter drinking a lot more water now - what a brilliant result. That's exactly what we hoped the insulated bottle would do: keep water cool and appealing throughout the school day so kids actually want to drink it.
Really pleased both you and your daughter are happy with the bottles, and that the insulation is doing its job properly.
Thanks for letting us know how it's going!

Hello Andrea,
A toddler-friendly bottle that actually works on the go - that's wonderful to hear. The fact that it handles both warm and cold drinks without any fuss, stays leak-free, and has no awkward parts to lose or scrub is exactly what makes life easier for parents. We're really glad it's proving so practical for your little one.

My ION8
I love my new ION8. The top is the best one I have found for drinking out of. I have rated this 4 star, because I find the top hard to flip open. I certainly could not do it with only one hand. Quality excellent and delivery time very good.

Hello,
Great to hear the spout design is working so well for you - that protected drinking system is something we're really proud of.
On the one-handed opening: the flip-top is designed to click open with a firm thumb press on the button rather than lifting the lid itself. If it's feeling stiff, it sometimes loosens slightly after the first few uses as the mechanism beds in. That said, we'd want it to feel comfortable from day one, so if it stays difficult, please drop us a line through our website contact form and we'll make sure you're happy with it.
Really pleased the quality and delivery met your expectations, and thanks for the honest feedback.

Fast Customer Response to a problem
Unfortunately my grandson ION8 bottle slipped out of his rucksack and hit the ground. I was sad to see 2 dents on the bottom and that once safety catch on the lid was used it the lid was popping up without any help. I sent an email in and within 2 days i heard from Inha and a new bottle is coming out FOC. I really thought it was going to go no where, I am so grateful to Inha and my grandson can't wait for the replacement which will now stay inside of his bag.
Great customer service, I would definitely recommend this company to anyone . Thank you Inha for your prompt response, very much appreciated.

Hello Janet,
Reading about the dented bottle and then seeing how quickly Inha sorted everything out for your grandson - that's exactly the kind of turnaround we hope for when something goes wrong. Accidents happen (especially with active kids and rucksacks!), and we're really glad the replacement is already on its way.
Your grandson's bottle taking a proper knock and the safety catch popping up afterwards - that's useful feedback for us. We're pleased Inha was able to get a new one sent out so quickly, and we hope this replacement stays safely tucked inside his bag from now on.
Thanks for taking the time to share this, Janet, and for recommending us. It means a lot.
