Sobre ION8
Escrito pela empresa
ION8 is a British drinkware brand based in Dundee. We make leak-proof water bottles, kids' bottles, travel mugs and flasks — designed so a bottle can go in a bag next to a laptop and stay where you put it. Every bottle in the range is leak-proof. It's the thing we design for first.
Primo — one bottle, three lids
Primo is designed to adapt. Every lid fits every Primo bottle, in every size — Urban for the commute, Revive for training, Roam for the outdoors. Change the lid, keep the bottle.
Triple-wall vacuum insulation with an internal copper coating keeps drinks hot or cold for up to 10 hours, and the outside stays dry — no condensation on a desk or in a bag. Primo won a Red Dot Design Award in 2026. From £29.99, with lids sold separately at £12.99.
Official NBA and NFL bottles
Officially licensed team bottles, built to the same standard as the rest of the range. Same leak-proof lid, same wide opening, in team colours.
We also work with MotoGP and the British & Irish Lions.
Bottles for school
Kids' bottles built for the bag they actually live in. Leak-proof, dishwasher safe, and a wide opening so they can be cleaned properly — not just rinsed. Sizes from 350ml.
Matching lunch bags and slings are available alongside the bottles.
Shop kids' bottles · Lunch bags
Spare parts, not replacements
A worn seal shouldn't mean a new bottle. We stock replacement lids, seals, straws and filters for the current range. ION8 is certified carbon neutral across all operations, and holds a German Design Award and a King's Award.
What to know about ION8
Escrito pela empresa
- Leak-proof across the whole range
- Every ION8 bottle, mug and flask is leak-proof. It can go in a bag next to a laptop, a change of clothes or a packed lunch and stay where you put it. It's the thing we design for first.
- Lids, seals and straws sold separately
- A worn seal shouldn't mean a new bottle. We sell replacement lids, seals, straws and filters for the current range, so a bottle can be kept going rather than replaced.
- Hot or cold for hours
- Insulated ION8 bottles use triple-wall vacuum insulation with an internal copper coating. Drinks stay hot or cold for hours, and the outside stays dry — no condensation on a desk or in a bag.
- Bottles for school and lunch bags
- ION8 kids' bottles are built for the bag they actually live in. Leak-proof, dishwasher safe, and a wide opening so they can be cleaned properly. Matching lunch bags and slings are available too.
- One bottle body, three lids
- Primo is our modular range. Every lid fits every Primo bottle in every size, so a straw lid for the commute and a screw top for the weekend work on the same bottle. Lids are sold separately from £12.99.
- Personalised and engraved
- Bottles, travel mugs and flasks can be personalised with a name. These are made to order, so they can't be returned unless faulty.
- Free UK delivery over £40
- UK orders over £40 ship free on Royal Mail Tracked 48, with Tracked 24 available as an upgrade. Europe is free over £60, and the rest of the world over £70.
- Designed in the UK
- ION8 is a British drinkware brand based in Dundee. The Primo range won a Red Dot Design Award in 2026, and ION8 holds a German Design Award from 2024 and a King's Award from 2025.
- Certified carbon neutral
- ION8 is certified carbon neutral across all operations. Products are designed to be reused rather than replaced, which is why spare parts are stocked for the current range.
- Buying from the US
- US customers should order from ion8.com, which carries the core collection and ships domestically. The UK site ships internationally, but shipping costs apply.

Great customer service and support
The bottles are great. A variety of colours and themes for each child’s favourite choice. We had an issue with one of the lids, got in contact and were sent a replacement. Great customer service - thank you!

Hello Shopper,
The kids each picking their favourite colour or theme - that's one of the best parts of ION8 bottles, and we're really pleased they've all got one they love.
When a lid isn't quite right, sorting it quickly is the least we can do. Really glad the replacement arrived without fuss and that you're all set now.
Thanks for letting us know how it went!

Hello Helen,
A 10-year-old's seal of approval - "best so far" - that's high praise! When kids actually love their water bottles (rather than just tolerate them), you know you've found something that works.
Really pleased the ION8 bottles have become the favourites in your house.

Bottles are good - strong but can smell
The bottles are very strong, arrived quickly and don't leak! Which is great for kids. However, they can still smell if left for a day or two (at school) and often find it spilling over yourself if you tip them up too high.

Resposta da ION8
Hello Emma,
Strong, quick delivery, and genuinely leak-proof for the kids - that's the core of what matters, and we're really pleased the bottles are doing that job well.
On the smell after a day or two at school: if bottles aren't rinsed daily, residue can build up (especially with anything other than plain water). A quick rinse each evening usually keeps things fresh, and our bottles are dishwasher safe if you want a deeper clean. If the smell persists even with regular cleaning, that's not normal - please get in touch via our website contact form and we'll look into it.
The spilling when tipped too high: our bottles are designed for sipping rather than tilting all the way back like a traditional cup. The flow is fast (thanks to the venting system), so a gentler angle works best. Once you get the feel for it, it's usually second nature.
Thank you for the honest feedback, Emma - it helps us and other parents get the full picture.

Hi there,
I am sorry you have had a problem with your bottle. We advise our bottles are dishwasher safe on Cool or Eco cycle, on the top rack of the dishwasher.
I have gotten in touch with you directly so we can help with the issue you have had as provided the above has been followed, we wouldn't expect there to be any issues.
I look forward to being able to resolve this for you :)

Hello Sarah,
A full year of daily school use with no issues, and now your son's back with the insulated bottle, matching bag, and another bottle this year - that's exactly the kind of reliability we design for. The fact that everything held up through a whole school year and you've come straight back to ION8 says a lot.
Really pleased the easy cleaning and dishwasher-safe design are making life simpler - no hidden corners where mould can hide is something we prioritised from the start. Your son's clearly got a setup he's happy with now!
Thank you for trusting us again this year, Sarah.

New bottle
I really like this bottle and the design is great. Unfortunately, after about six weeks of very limited use, the dinosaur print on the original bottle started peeling off in several places.
I contacted ION8 customer support and was helped by Inah, who was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, helpful and professional, and handled the whole issue quickly and without any hassle. A replacement bottle was sent to me and arrived very quickly.
I especially want to thank Inah for her excellent customer service. It really makes a difference when a company has someone who takes customer concerns seriously and resolves them so efficiently.
We also have another ION8 bottle that has been used for over a year and still looks great, so I’m hoping the replacement will be just as durable.
Very happy with the way ION8 handled the problem. Thank you, Inah! 😊

Resposta da ION8
Hello Inah,
What a journey with that dinosaur bottle - and what a thoughtful, detailed account of how it all played out. Six weeks in and the print peeling off, that's disappointing, but the way you've described the resolution process (quick, hassle-free, professionally handled) tells us exactly what we aim for when something does go wrong.
The fact your other ION8 bottle has sailed through a full year and still looks great gives us real confidence the replacement will do the same. Print durability should match structural durability - we'll make sure your feedback on the original dinosaur design reaches the right people internally.
And yes, Inah (your support contact) really does make the difference - we're lucky to have her on the team, and she'll be delighted to know her work left such a strong impression.
Thanks for sticking with us, and for taking the time to share both the problem and the solution so clearly.

Leak proof water bottles. At last!
Just purchased two water bottles; a very robust one for DoE expeditions and a lighter plastic one for daily use.
Clever innovation and design ensure that the bottles are as they claim to be 100% leak proof. Strong with a locking mechanism and a spout which is exceptionally easy to use.
All in all I’m very happy and believe both bottles to represent excellent value for money. Well done ION 8.

Hello Colin,
DoE expeditions and daily use - two very different demands, and you've picked exactly the right bottles for each. The fact that the locking mechanism and spout design are working this well for you straight away is great to hear.
Leak-proof isn't just a claim we make lightly - it's the foundation of everything we build, and reading that it's delivering exactly what you needed makes all the design work worthwhile.
Really appreciate you sharing this, and we hope both bottles serve you brilliantly for years to come.

Absolutely love your bottles
Absolutely love your bottles. The best thing about them is how easy they are to clean and that they dont leak. Availability of different sizes is also a massive bonus. Slim ones fit perfectly into car holders. Big ones are great for football training. And the small one are handy for school for little ones.

Hello Agatha,
Cleaning simplicity and zero leaks - those are the two things that matter most in daily use, and it's brilliant to hear they're both working perfectly for you. The way you've matched each size to its purpose (slim for the car, big for football, small for school) shows exactly how the range is meant to work across different needs in one family.
Really appreciate you sharing this.

Very happy with the quality of this…
Very happy with the quality of this product ordered 2 & got a 3rd one free. The straws are very useful as well. The only disappointment is the red one is more of a wishy washy pink colour whereas the green & teal are more solid colours
Delivery was excellent Will use this company again

Hello Julia,
Quality, the free bottle offer, and those useful straws - brilliant to hear all three landed well. The colour mismatch on the red, though, we completely understand. You're right that it reads more pastel than the solid tones of the green and teal, and we appreciate you flagging that clearly. It's the kind of detail that helps us stay sharp on consistency across the range.
Really glad the delivery came through quickly, and thank you for planning to come back.

Hello Maroosh,
The lock system working exactly as it should - that's the detail that matters most, and it's great to hear you've noticed it straight away. Metal construction keeping your drinks cold, plus the reassurance that nothing's going to leak in your bag: that's the combination we built the bottle around.
Thanks for the recommendation - it means a lot.
