Faulty bottle, brilliant customer service
One of patterns on my bottles quickly bubbled and peeled so I was disappointed however I got in touch with customer service team and they were brilliant no annoying back and forth with constant questions and requests for more photos just a new bottle in the post which arrived a few days later. Easy to navigate web site. Customer service is quick to answer any queries. I purchased the Primo bottle as advised as I wanted it to hold cold or hot liquid. I have taken this on holiday and it’s great for keeping drink cold, not tried hot yet. I also purchased the different lid so as it was easy to go from hot to cold drinks.
The only minus point I had was one day I was on a trip and couldn’t always have the bottle upright so some did leak a little but it was only water so nothing damaged.
A bonus was the free water bottle which is very sturdy.

This is our second ion8 bottle not…
This is our second ion8 bottle not because the first broke but simple my boy loved it so much he wanted a bigger one and so we use the larger one for school and the smaller one for days out and remember to change the seals 4-6 months not because it leaks but because a bottle thats being used everyday hygiene wise replacement seals and a must if I was to make one criticism the silicone straps you can add to the bottle when ordering aren't very strong my sone has snapped 2 so not ideal .

They definitely keep the water cold in hot days
I bought my first bottle from a shop and was very happy with it. When I needed insulated bottles for my daughter and myself, choose again Ion8. We are very happy with them and my husband ordered a personalised one despite owning another one from a different brand. He said he's very happy with it. I like it so much that I want to order my second one too at some point.
The bottles definitely keep the water cold during summer. We used them all this hot summer outside on the sun. Definitely recommend it.

Great customer service and super, resilient bottles
I heard these bottles are very resilient and hardly break so got them as my toddler’s first proper water bottle.
I was therefore surprised and disappointed when one of the bottles’ designs started peeling off a few months into having it.
However, after reporting the issue with the team, they sent out a free replacement straight away and I have had no issues with this one so must have been a fault with the original one.
I really appreciated the quick and helpful resolution as I was anticipating the worst as is often the case unfortunately with companies. It was great that they were easy to contact, I was able to actually be out through to a real person in their customer service team (though I did have to wait a bit to hear back via email), and I had no argument or push back from the company over something that wasn’t my fault but rather an immediate resolution at no expense to myself, not even postage.
Thank you ION8, will definitely be buying again (if we ever need another one, which seems less likely now as it is proving to be as I had heard - very resilient!).
Side note: we love the really wide choice of designs, different choice of material (we went with the plastic option so we could see how much he had drunk in a day), the clever ingenious optional additional straw (it attaches onto the bottle so you can have it either with or without a straw and is really easy to take apart and clean fully but it does stay attached very well on its own throughout the day), and the triple lock feature.

I ordered 3 bottles, 2 stainless steel and 1 plastic as it was on offer, and the stainless steel are good, but the plastic doesn't seem to be completely leakproof, which is very frustrating as they cost a lot, but maybe that is why they were on offer. Or maybe I just got a faulty one?

Really glad the two stainless steel bottles are working well for you. On the plastic one that's not sealing properly - that's not right, and it's definitely not why it was on offer. Our leak-proof guarantee applies to every bottle we sell, sale price or not.
It sounds like you've got a faulty seal or lock mechanism on that one. The triple-lock system should hold completely on both plastic and steel bottles when properly engaged, so if it's leaking, something's not functioning as it should.

Love the ION8s. They do what you say they do. I like the fact there is no straw in to worry about. We are adults not children. Easy to keep clean. Husband only has use of one hand and finds it easy to use. Easy to hold and not too wide when you have arthritic hands. Wish I'd found these before I gathered ones with discoloured straws and not easy to replace. Would recommend. We have the insulated ones so keep hot or cold. Good quality and delivery.

The ion8 water bottles is what we have been missing for years since our children started school. They have a slim design, easy to grip and hold, secure anti leak lock so no worrying about water leaking onto school work, brilliant to wash and dry made with robust materials that are kind to the planet and to humans! We love them and the designs match the lunch boxes. Loads to choose from including sizes. The lunchbox are also great and easy to keep clean, can thoroughly wash without water getting through the insulated material. Condensation can sometimes form around the lid area when there's a temperature difference between the cold liquid inside and warmer air outside, especially if the bottle's been in a bag or closed space. Making sure the lid's fully tightened and the seals are seated properly can help minimise it, and wiping the top dry before closing it up in your bag might reduce the moisture transfer.
