Poor communication
My heart sinks when I am interested in a property being advertised by John Shepherd because I know it is near on impossible to obtain a viewing.
Telephones are unanswered, voicemails are unreturned and email enquiries are not responded to. Making an already stressful process, much more distressing.

Wow, John Shepherd put the WoW factor back
Wow. From the first meeting with Mandi, subsequent follow up discussions with Jayne, Dan and final account settlement with Maria has been a wonderful experience. I have been with John Shepherd since 2022 and I can truely state, staff, service, and professionalism is there best of the best.

I’ve been with John Shepherd a long time. Most recently, I’ve been very impressed working with Lara Soares White, who has devoted her personal time and attention to helping me deal with a fiddle-some pet ownership request and also repairs. Lara stands out for (1) going the extra-mile to investigate the underlying issues, (2) for explaining these to me clearly, and (3) for providing actionable protocols to consider - all of which makes my role as landlord much easier than it sometimes can be. I have a number rental properties managed by John Shepherd, and I want to say that they are great. Each time an issue comes up, they are on the ball. I cannot wish for better. In particular, I want to mention Gita Patel and Daniel Durrant. They have really helped.
As landlords are aware, the government has introduced many additional requirements to rental. This has including safety audits and so on. I received a request from an unknown website. Gita and Darren helped me to verify that the requests are valid, and they further took the initiative to upload the certificates needed.
I can only say, you want them on your team.

Rented and found lawyer Adam Ali, the landlord was really a sub-letter who changed the locks after I signed everything. John Shepherd agency refused to help after taking a month's rent and deposit, was homeless

Excellent Management Service
John Shepherd have been a great management company. They are on top of everything with regards my property. Seamless transition from looking for new tenants to getting them in. A detailed inspection is done on the property before and after tenants are in/out. Vetting of tenants and checking with me if they are suitable and asking for my input.
Regular contact with me, also doing property inspections is timely.
Jenna & Arun have been exceptionally great. They both stay in regular contact with me and work with me for any issues etc.. keeping me updated and informed and of all the next steps. A good company to look after my properties. Highly recommend

Great service
Sam Richards has been our property manager for quite a number of years now and we have always found her to be professional, capable and approachable in her dealings with us. She has been supportive and very helpful in resolving any issues which may have arisen with tenants. If the review was purely for Sam it would be 5 stars.

1st class service
After instructing Matt from John Shepherd to sell our property, we can honestly say we were impressed. Matt took the time to constantly update us of any new developments and was always readily available to discuss any issues we had.
Matt not only sold our property once but a 2nd time after the 1st buyer unfortunately pulled out!
Matt relisted our property and arranged viewings straightaway. As a result our property was resold the same day for a higher price.
I would totally recommend Matt to anyone thinking of selling their property.
