Sue Birch has managed my property for the last 3 years…. I’ve had a great experience with the property management team. They have been professional, responsive, and helpful throughout managing my property. Any questions or maintenance requests have been handled quickly and efficiently, which has made my easy and stress-free.

Communication has always been clear, and they’ve been approachable whenever I’ve needed assistance. It’s reassuring to know that the property is well managed and that issues are taken seriously.

I’d definitely recommend them to other land lord looking for a well-managed property and reliable support.

I’d just like to say that my dealings with Lara Soars at John Shepherd in Birmingham have been first-class from the start. I could not ask for a more professional and courteous person to deal with for my apartment. Thank you Lara!

I used their letting agency services based in Redditch over many years and would rate them 5* for a professional, personal and friendly service. They are always ahead of the legislation so that I was always letting according to the law and they have a good pool of trades to take care of minor maintenance issues that arise, this is particularly important for me as an overseas landlord.

My experience with John Shepherd Lettings has been appalling. They completely oversold their ability to manage the property and dramatically overestimated the achievable rent. In reality the property ended up letting for around 50% less than what they originally quoted, after I was pressurised into accepting a last-minute tenancy at a grossly deflated rate.

Their management has been extremely poor. They do not reply to emails or complaints, and communication is essentially non-existent. Since deciding to remove them, the tenants informed me they had made multiple repair requests during the tenancy which were simply ignored, and eventually stopped contacting the agency because they knew they would not receive a response.

The property was left filthy and badly damaged at checkout, showing a clear lack of oversight. They have also added charges without my consent, including rental protection insurance which was added without approval and they have refused to refund, despite me emailing multiple members of staff.

Before appointing them I was managing the property myself while working full-time, and it was far less stressful than having John Shepherd involved. The whole experience has been financially damaging and incredibly frustrating.

If even one person reads this review and decides not to use them, I’ll feel like I’ve saved someone from the same experience.

This was mine and my partners first time renting through John Shepherd, through the Redditch branch and i would like to say Olga was absolutely fantastic and had very professional and fast service, Michelle took over from Olga who was an absolutely delightful person to speak to, so thankyou Michelle you was an absolute gem considering how difficult we was to get all references before deadlines, but she persevered. Great experience and would recommend to anyone planning to move homes soon.

Really responsive and helpful, have done everything we ask. I have to mention Lara as she is the one we deal with and is excellent.

I'd like to thank Christina from John Shepherd Birmingham for helping me sort out getting my washing machine replaced. The engineer who came to take out and replace the machine was friendly, quick and very efficient. This was sorted out within days of the original report and I couldn't be happier.

We had a great experienced with our agent Caitlin Duggan. She’s very professional, helpful, friendly and very approachable. She’s very patient when responding to all our questions. Processing to rent a property and moving to a new house became easy. It was smooth and stress free because of her. We would highly recommend her to everyone. Thank You. Keep it up.😊

I have recently moved into my new property with Uni2rent part of John Shepherd and I have to say it was very smooth process for me to get into the new property. My previous tenancy agreement was about to end and I have to move in on the very same day and it was Friday evening, most of the letting agency try to shift the move in to Monday but when I requested Monica Moran she managed to give me the keys the same day I requested and I am very glad she did. I would also like to mention Ellis Boakye here the way he helped me to move in and sort every problem I had was tremendously good. If anyone reading this review I would suggest to book with them and honestly they have great properties.

Friendly, polite and replies fast.

I've rented off John Shepherd for a few years now and Lauren Foster has always responded promptly to any issues I've had in relation to my property and ensured that they are dealt with in an efficient manner.

I was looking for a one bedroom flat to rent and came across one through John Shepherd Solihull that looked good. I arranged a viewing where I was met by Shennay who showed me round the property and gave me all the information I needed right there for me to decide to move forward. Over the next two weeks Shennay was diligent and professional in getting all the information needed for the landlord to make a decision and I’ve now moved in all sorted within about 3 weeks to meet my timeline.
