Great service

Great service. Resolved the issue I had with an old light fitting and supplied what was needed and explained everything clearly. Really good.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the crystal had been removed and accidentally dropped onto another lamp, causing damage. A very happy customer.

I visited the Lampwise shop last week to look for a nice light fitting for my lounge. The shop has two floors and I was spoilt for choice and was given great advice by Pam and I decided to buy a nice chrome fitting. We arranged a fitting date which was brought forward as the light fitting arrived sooner than expected. Pam and her electrician both came to carry out the fitting and had it all finished in about an hour. I cannot fault Lampwise in any respect and was pleased to support a local business. Thank you.

Professional beautiful shop

Professional, very friendly staff that help me choose my dream lights. I'm so happy. Absolutely beautiful. So many to choose from but with all the lovely staff we got there in the end.100% recommended

My phone call to query an order I needed to exchange was dealt with courteously and very efficiently by Natasha who reordered the replacement on the spot and explained the technical difference between my order and its replacement. very helpful Lady. Avoid at all cost the shop assistant had so much anger

Brought a green PAR 38 (£8.95) from them lasted not an hour, blow the green glass off took it back and the lady was rude and tried to tell me it was to do with AMP/WATT which it was not 80 watt is not to much as we had 100 watts in the holders before and lasted over 12 years (been in the electrical game for over 45 years.) Would not give a refund but did get one after speaking to someone on the phone. Slamming and banging things on the counter I have never dealt with any one like this before avoid at all cost. Very nasty people to deal with I'm sure they will make up something to justify there actions people like this always do. The shop which we believe were dealing with was noting more than a front for internet sales. Just an up date as they seem unhappy with the review if you care to read it it's says the lamp was 12 years old and not the fitting happy not to use you ever again one experience is more then enough for me.

Regarding the issue with the PAR 38, we stand by the fact that the wattage can have an impact on the use of the product, and we apologize if this was not communicated clearly enough, or more to fact you weren't in the mood to listen, however, We're glad to hear that you were able to obtain a refund eventually, but we're sorry for any inconvenience this caused.

(Order brought on our website customer had demanded refund in our store to his card - due to UK Law all payments must be refunded in the way they have been paid)

We would like to assure you that our shop is not just a front for internet sales. We have a physical storefront and have been in business for over 20 years in Stony Stratford, serving the needs of our local community as well as online customers.

We don’t recommend this company at all

We don’t recommend this company at all. Abysmal service. Didn’t get back to us on email or phone. When we rang them they ended up hanging up on us. Didn’t want to refund us. Tried to overcharge us a “surcharge”. Wouldn’t refund over the phone. We had a three hour round trip to get the refund. The customer is wrong but they are right. Avoid at all costs.

We understand that you visited our store to make a purchase and that you preferred not to buy online, which we fully appreciate. We would like to clarify that all refunds, regardless of location, must be processed in person at the store. This is in line with our policy and is not related to the Distant Selling Act.

During your visit to the store, our owner attended to you and assisted you in finding an item that you loved and wanted. We want to assure you that our owner is highly experienced and knowledgeable in our products. However, the item was not in stock at the time, and we advised you that it would take 7-10 working days to get it in. We are pleased to say that we managed to get your order ready for collection within 5 days, which is ahead of schedule.

We understand that you wanted to cancel your order due to a staff member's failure to follow up on a phone call, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We would like to clarify that some items, but not all, carry a surcharge when they are not in stock and must be ordered specially. This is standard practice in our industry.

We take our telephone conversations very seriously, and we have instructed our staff members to terminate calls immediately if a customer is rude or disrespectful. We apologize if this policy was not communicated clearly to you.

Finally, we would like to clarify that our owner agreed to a full refund with no surcharge when you came into the store to speak with him. We apologize if there was any confusion during this interaction. We value all of our customers and strive to provide excellent service at all times. Thank you again for your feedback.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I tried lots of companies, large and small , but could not find a glass shield for a spotlight to the correct size, until I found Lampwise on the internet, who provided exactly what was required.
Very helpful and professional.

Lampwise were helpful and really easy to deal with. I was able to contact them by phone, speak with their team who immediately resolved my issue. Their team is responsive, friendly and efficient. Great customer service!

Excellent service

Excellent service. Good response when I telephoned the shop. My light bulbs were expertly wrapped, would have no hesitation to buy on-line again. Delivery was prompt and was exactly the product I wanted.

Excellent customer service and speed of delivery

I ordered 2 bulbs from Lampwise at a competitive price, midday Friday and they were with me by Saturday midday and that was the standard delivery option. Unfortunately one of the bulbs was broken, I contacted them and within 30 mins all was sorted and replacement bulb sent. This is wonderful service and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.
Well done !!! a very happy customer...

2 twisted frosted candle bulbs and a trip to London!

I ordered 2 twisted frosted candle bulbs as we have old fashioned lighting in our homes. Unfortunately I appear to have inadvertently left the delivery address the same as the payment address when in fact I wanted them sent to the address I gave last time. I reported my 'mistake' quickly but it was too late so I had to go to London in order to receive the small parcel. It arrived there by Royal Mail and all is well but it was a bit of an inconvenience to me that the company did not query the fact that a recent order I placed with them had been sent (correctly) to an Oxfordshire address. London address only given as that is where credit card is registered! Mea culpa!?

Bought 4 Amber Reflector Spot Lamps in…

Bought 4 Amber Reflector Spot Lamps in Oct 21 to replace 4 white ones that had lasted over a year, on the 10th of Jan one of the amber bulbs had already expired.
Rang to speak to someone and was told there's no guarantee with them..hard luck basically. They were £24 and I need all four so basically their product lasted 2 and a half months. Awful attitude to the customer, don't recommend anyone buying from this company.

Hello Phil, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, unfortunately, we can only deem a light bulb faulty if it blows within 1 week of purchase, not after 2 months of use, they are 1000 hour life lamps not LED so yes they hold no guarantee, unfortunately.
