Awful dreadful, asked me about 2 question 15 minute call and then lied and writes the opposite to what I say down

This company is appalling. My assessment was appalling. I was not allowed to say what I needed to. I was deliberately rushed through complex questions. I was told I was wrong when I told her how many lymph nodes I had removed and also that twisting to the right wouldn't affect my arthritis on the left of my rib cage from radiotherapy. Haven't had my decision yet but we all know where this is going. Back to tribunal again, I won the last one which is only fair considering the state I'm in. I'm not surprised they don't allow you to record it. Their behavior is enough to hope people give up or commit suicide. This is no way to treat human beings in distress.

Absolutely disgusting that these people are allowed to do what they want with sick people. I’ve had an over the phone assessment and been turned down for any help. They appear to have completely lied and said I can do all these things I can’t and that I have nothing on go records. Truth is I’ve been ill for 10 years - with physical health deteriorating and mental health now affected as I’m in chronic pain and can’t even afford prescriptions to even try to help. My gp does have details of everything and I am under the hospital and the mental health team because I am now not really wanting to live any more. I am in debt up to my eyeballs too because I have been unable to work which only worsens my mental health as I see no way of getting better or help. Too many people suicidal or already committed suited because of these vile liars.

Jesus... Look at these reviews... These people from pip should be sacked. My partner has been waiting 18 months for her money. Waiting to take these clowns to court.

Joke and twist your words when speaking to then should sack all of them and restart staff are clueless and don't know what they are talking about as they are not medical professionals

I made a claim months ago because I'm off long time sick through fatigue and Anxiety and have had no reply at all, I've called many times with no luck, I'm living on SSP and struggling both mentally and certainly financially, I don't think they give a damn at all
I think they hope people will just give up and go away. What a disgusting way to treat people, who already have anxiety problems. Absolute shambles and very wrong indeed.

Assessment was secretly recorded and when the report came back the Assessor had left loads of stuff off and made other things up on my report. Taking this a lot farther now

Where to start with this awful assessor?!

Like many other people on here have stated, the level of dishonesty and lies these assessors use in unreal.

Lots of important information and facts that I told assessor to support my PIP claim left out of her report such as having regular counselling etc, aids, help from others etc.

How can an 'independent' assessor leave out key information in her report and cherry pick other information to build a misleading picture.

This 'assessor' scored me zero points on everything despite having multiple long term conditions.
Her reasons - as I have kids and can drive a car on a limited irregular basis, then I can do everything in her opinion and get zero points.

The only thing that should have scored zero was her ethics.

Jennifer Lumb, my assessor was vile.

This 'assessor' made me answer yes or no throughout the assessment and did not let me expand on anything throughout.

Assessment was rushed throughout and anything I tried to say was answered with 'we'll come back to that' which of course we never did.

She was rude, patronising and completely uncaring.

If I could score zero stars I would.

Awful company with awful assessors.

I now have to pursue this via the tribunal. I say that as the mandatory reconsideration is just a tick box exercise whereby another 'decision maker' will rubber stamp the previous devision and I'll be awarded zero points again!

Don't give up people! Please fight these unethical people and processes every step of the way if you want what is rightfully yours.

I suffer from PTSD borderline personality traits
I got my condition from being in Afghanistan serving two tours
400 page medical report loads of evidence and she didn't even look at it
I tried to explain to the woman I'm struggling to understand the questions what she was asking me she didn't give me a chance because have mental health she took liberties
We've got to do it again but I refuse to do it with her

Well I now know that the Pip service is completely messed up. The assessment for a lady with learning disabilities was barbaric, she was quick fired questions and when couldnt answer was told she must give an answer. The interviewer told her she had done O levels, which was untrue, she had been in special educational local authority schooling On an alternative curriculum eg horse riding and catering etc.
Everyone let her down, we supplied a wealth of fabulous evidence, she really needs to be in local authority care as cant cope, hoarding, health issues, lost jobs, not passed probationary periods, lots of bullying reports, safeguarding concerns made etc etc but no this lady with epilepsy, learning disability, asthma and serious communication and processing concerns, who has just a couple of teeth but Dr says she has good dental hygiene scored 2.
I have worked in this field of work for over 35 years and I would say I consider myself to have expertise it would have been impossible for a scoring of 2 with our evidence alone. I worked on this solidly, ive given her hours of my time and support at further cost to my own health and disability. Its never ending and Im exhausted. I cry every day when I see how she has to live.
Her drs records were redacted, crossing out all areas mentioning disability or communication difficulties, and the safeguarding concerns didnt even get mentioned that Id raised about physical, finnancial, emotional and neglect. The services of everyone such as the local authority in Cambridge, completely minimised her needs, and she lives on part time earnings of just 20 hrs a week in a domestic low paid job because she couldnt manage full time work and struggles to stay in work. This very week Ive had to call in the services of pest control to organise someone to sort rat traps out and she's had mice too. Her out of date food and lack of understanding of how to manage money all are of great concern, and has debt caused by all those who have abused her. Never did I think it would be the DWP that abused her on top by making decisions they know are unjust.
Her outcome was delivered today (9th May 2023 but dated 1st may 2023 on the letter )so leaves us just 3 weeks to appeal, and god knows where I draw strength to do that.) It is totally shameful and I will go as far as human rights lawyers if I have to. We need this service changed, we had asked this 2 hr assessment to be recorded, it was denied. The interviewer didnt even draw breath when the lady tried to explain she had lost her mother on a Christmas Day, straight on to the next question and told she would be back on another day if she didnt finish. She got so upset and tongue tied.
I wish she didnt need their money I really do, but she does. The assessment was over 2.5 hrs late, booked for 1pm had at 3.30. Awaiting a response to my letter of complaint written 27th April, arriving 28th, Was it the complaint that meant she then had to score nothing or the reality every service has let her down if they do award it? She went from DLA to nothing in 2018 as scored 0 on an assessment. It just defies all sense of reason.
She lives on 11,000 cant make ends meet, uses food banks, vicar to write letters, and Im there as a support to her every day despite my own health needs. She went without heating and hot water fromMarch to December, as didnt know how to get a problem fixed, until I found her, after seeing her get bullied in a charity shop. How do these assessors live with themselves, I have kept every email, every letter, every proof of postage etc etc, I will not let them minimise her struggles. This is the worst kind of abuse I can think of, and to think she lives on less than an MP probably gets in expenses for a month!
Im not sure if I can live in this cruel society anymore.

0stars. Seem friendly, but are a bunch of liars. I waited weeks for a decision to find out one day my benefits stop? Why. I ask dwp and they say about this independent services refusing my pip. In a worse situation than years before, some old lady with her camera off can decide how I am who I am how I feel and how it affects me. I am annoyed that my cater lost her money too. Because of some dimwitted thief at atos. Thanks a lot. This will cost you a lot more on the long run. to steal candy from a baby is one but to steal money of disabled isnt any better. I agree with all these reviews. Make sure you record your calls and appeal . Its disgusting how inaccurate this company is when they are potentially in a role that can affect peoples lives. Living int he bare minimum is bad enough but to then have to go without for weeks, because an independent reviewer failed their assessment of me. When COVID hit. Everyone else except the disabled recieves extra money.

Truly demoralising and dehumanising experience. Our assessor had a rather good “kind” persona, appeared very personable. We didn’t buy into it too much as had read reviews here and elsewhere beforehand.

Claimant was asked bizarre and frankly irrelevant questions such as “Are you left or right handed?”

The assessment was long and tedious. The assessor did not have their camera on. Claimant felt like the assessment went well and that they covered everything adequately.

Claimant received decision a day ago. The assessor has missed out, rather conveniently, the information that would have made claimant eligible for Enhanced rates.

The assessor has also lied on their report and made false observations. Claimant did not receive the correct eligibility and will be requesting a reconsideration.

Truly abysmal service and only serves to punish disabled people who suffer enough. I understand there has to be a way to weedle out those who may abuse the system but surely there is a better way than subjecting honest disabled people to faceless, uncaring, box ticking assessors.

I am quite frankly appalled by the fact the assessor can pick and choose what they say in the report. If they must continue these assessments then they should be recorded as standard!

Go into your assessment with your eyes open. These people may try to come across as kind, interested, caring but they are simply out to do a job and that job is to ensure the government is paying out as little as possible to aid disabled people.

I am not worried much I know Nurses can`t Assess my sickness they are not qualified, I sent all my hospital letters GP letters etc I have a lot of evidence, I am waiting for a review of my PIP if they refuse I guess I am taking them again to court, 2018 I got Refuse Pip after waiting for Court was all worth it, won 2 courts against DWP, PIP I won the court and ESA on court day some staff from DWP turn up in court they told me we accept your ESA Good Luck every one don't give up and don't get upset if they refuse to take them to court

who are these people? i received a text for an online assessment, why was i having one? why no dwp letter? it was a no show on the video link by them, i entered my phone number and some incoherent person rang me back asking for my date of birth?? i got half way through a sentence and they cut me off!!!!

turns out when your in review and the dwp have a backlog, you need to be reassessed as they don’t have the time or staff to carry out the reviews…. following on from the cut off phone call, i received a letter to an in person assessment, at a ridiculous time in a ridiculous area i’ve never been to. I told them there is one a few miles away, so they’ve booked me in somewhere else now, not the nearest one i advised them of…

Was made to feel that my children would be taken away and my license would be taken away, for the whole 1.5 hour assessment. Then at the end of the phone call, he said that theres no safeguarding issue, so he basically tricked me, and purposely wanted me to feel flustered. Stephen the 'nurse' was my assesor, and he made it known to me lots and lots of times that he was a nurse who knew 'a lot about' my conditions, i have complex issues, so i doubt this is true. How qualified is a Nurse? From the results, i know Stephen wasn't truthful with his report, and i will be complaining. He was trying to trip me up, get me to say wrong stuff, twist my words and when i started to get upset, there was no empathy, he just said we can stop and you will be assessed on paper. I can barley think I dont think he actually asked the questions he was supposed to, it felt like a waste of time.What a horrible system for people who generally deserve the PIP money because of a condition that is uncontrollable. Its not hard to be kind ! Your words on the webiste, 'fairly and with respect and dignity'. Absolutely did not feel respected. I felt like absolute crap and cried for 2 days after, and had to increase my antidepressant medication.Not to mention he was over an hour late, with no apology

Your clinical opinion means nothing in this role, get used to changing reports to reflect something you do not agree with and having your Pin attached to it. You may go into the role thinking you can affect positive change, but you soon realise that you are a cog in a machine and must bend to the will of ATOS. This will systematically destroy your confidence and clinical autonomy.

Be aware that recruitment agencies will recruit you will pay offers that ATOS will then not honour. You will not get paid what the recruitment agency says you will and ATOS will claim they have no awareness of this.
They will recruit you on a ‘permanent home based contract’ and then tell you that you need to come into the assessment centres (there’s a loophole in the ATOS contract).

No regard for staff well-being or mental health, I have never cried as much as when I worked here. Requests for support from your management team will fall on deaf ears. Most people leave after a couple of months of working here, I lasted over a year, to the absolute detriment of my confidence and mental health.

To add insult to injury, 2 months after leaving they have contacted me to tell me they have over paid me by £920 and have sent this straight to a debt collection company, ruining my credit rating. It feels like a nightmare that will never end.

I cannot stress enough to avoid this role, they will try and lure you in with promises of an improved working environment and decent pay/benefits, but it’s not worth it.

I worked for IAS for 9 months. Training is very long and there are 5 stages to complete. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to pass your probationary period. You have to complete 3.5 reports a day and look at at least 6 new cases per day. During the 5 stages especially in the latter, your work is scrutinised and pulled apart/ failed for the most minor of things. You have weekly 1 to 1s with 2 managers where everything you have done wrong is highlighted. What you get right is briefly touched upon. IAS do not care for your clinical expertise, you have to work within a box which is orchestrated by IAS. They do not care to dismiss people at any stage with no warning. In the 9 months of working there 5 people were dismissed. There are some who love this role and work for ias for years. Out of 9 people I joined with, only 5 passed probation. The whole ethos is to consistently knock you and dress you down until you work frantically and to the letter of how IAS want you to. It greatly affects your mental health and well being. Not just for me but for many people who joined with me. Some do clearly love this role, you maybe one of them, but please think carefully before you leave a secure job role for IAS.

It was awful mine was this morning an over an hour late. To be fair I did get a telephone call saying it was going to be late, but then it was delayed by another 20 minutes.
I had a bad night so my mind was all over the place.
The assessor called David was awful he kept trying to trip me up! God knows why. Then he kept saying the line was bad even though I could hear him perfectly.
I kept telling him I had not left the house in years, but he refused to believe me. I told him what was wrong with me.
All I could do was cry. How can someone remember something when they had a stroke which affects the memory and I kept telling him this. It was awful. The worst assessment I have ever experienced in my life. He wasn’t a dr and he couldn’t answer my questions.
I know I have lost it.
How can you assess someone on the phone answer is you cant!!

These people are the biggest liars ever, unprofessional, and their assessors are just normal nurses which don’t have any knowledge or medical qualifications to assess others, no proper doctors and specialist. In word, cheap labour.
