the driver phill was brilliant as always no complaints there but the shuttle mini bus was a nightmare we waited two and a half hours for it to arrive at knutsford services we set of on the main coach around 7.30 a.m. and didn't arrive home until 8 p.m. and had to pay a £30 supplement for that i never had to before and if that was made clear in the booking i would not have booked unless i got picked up by the main coach for price of the holiday, the other 2 times we have been on holiday it was fine we got on the main coach there and back, if we had stopped on the main coach to burnley we would have got home for 5 p.m. if there was an accident on the motorway holding the mini bus driver up why couldn't we have been allowed to stop on the coach to burnley if it was near to our destination

The Edinburgh Tattoo is a fantastic experience: great music, amazing outfits, spectacular and unexpected effects. Entry/exit was remarkably quick given the need for bag checks and the whole process is done a really friendly manner.

There was plenty of time before the show to see at least some of what Edinburgh has to offer and there seems to be something happening on every street corner during August.

The hotel - The Rob Roy in Aberfoyle - is set in glorious surroundings. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the food is excellent.

Booking was a breeze, all done online and documents all arrived digitally in a timely manner.

The member of staff was very helpful

I think there was too much coach time.
The hotel was an hour away from London and then 1.5 hours away from our next location! Perhaps it would have been better to visit somewhere closer to the location tour, such has Rochester?
The tour itself was very disappointing, not what I was expecting.

However, the hotel was the best one I have stayed in, on a national holiday.

Hotel too far from Edinburgh. Ridiculous 3 hour round trip when we wanted a day in Edinburgh before the Tattoo. Got there at 4pm
Awful drunk pair of women who were loud and ill mannered throughout the journey. Couldn’t wait to get home. Hotel and food was very good but close to Glasgow!
Tattoo was fabulous though.

Hotel good. Excellent two drivers. Comfortable coach. Punctual and flexible itinerary. However hotel too far from Edinburgh, too many pick up points in city / town centres meant we were on the coach for 23 hours in a three day itinerary - far too long.

Booked Aryshire & Loch Lomand trip away, the first time with National Holidays & definitely the last! The 1st coach driver (Kev) who picked us up at Hull was late, even though he'd been sat parked up in the coach for over half hour before the pick up time given so no excuse to be late. No greeting of 'good morning' never spoke to us. Didn't even crack a smile. Got on the coach & again never introduced himself or spoke the whole way to Darlington. Thank god for the change of driver at Darlington, (Shaun was fantastic from getting on & throughout the trip) but then it went downhill when we got to the hotel, Adamton Country House...WOW. It wasn't very clean, room smelt musty & damp as soon as you opened the door. No sanitary bin or bags provided. So you had to put them in an open bin & they stayed there until you left which isn't very hygienic at all after a few days. Food absolutely shocking & mostly cold. We were eating out on our day trips so we knew we were having something decent to eat as we knew we wouldn't be once back at the hotel. The trips themselves were rubbish. Nothing to do at Ayr or Troon (thank goodness for the air show otherwise we would have been twiddling our thumbs). Then the next day was Luss & Loch Lomand which I thought was going to be for views & scenery like advertised on the website. Nowhere on your description does it say your getting dropped off at an shopping outlet. (Loch Lomand Shores) If I wanted to go to Soccer Sports I would go into the shops in Hull. I didn't booked this trip for that & wouldn't have if I'd of known that's where we were going!! We saw the best scenery whilst travelling then we did on the actual holiday. Over £500 & a total waste of money. I do NOT recommend anyone booking this trip for views & scenery, unless you want to walk around a town like you can at home where most of the shops have shut down then maybe you will enjoy it. But WHY they use that hotel is beyond me. The staff were lovely but the food is an absolute big fat NO. Cheap & nasty & the majority of the time inedible. Couldn't wait to get back home!!

Poor driver was not familiar with route. We got to the hotel and had to have a meal straightaway. Hotel was not very accommodating but staff were nice. Rooms were outdated but it was value for money.

From the moment we boarded the coach it was amazing. Coach driver was friendly and welcoming and kept us informed throughout the journey.

Plenty of comfort stops along the way to enable us to use facilities and restock.
Hotel and ALL the food was plentyful and of excellent quality. It was delicious. Rooms were spotless and had everything you may need for your stay and all the hotel staff were lovely.

Edinburgh Tattoo was something I'd recommend anyone do, even if it's just the once. Visit to Gretna Green on way home was a lovely touch.

The whole experience was 5* and as a package was extremely well priced. It took away the stress of having to put it altogether yourself.

great quality coach and hotel, really makes a difference having a hotel which is not just a 'coach' hotel!

The coach drivers were great. The excursions good although as always not a lot of time at each stop.
The hotel was abysmal.
The rooms weren't serviced.
The food was awful with little choice and not much of it. Only vegetables all week were frozen mixed veg.
The holiday information stated that our main meal on the day of the tattoo would be served at lunch time. This consisted of soup ,a few sandwiches and a sausage roll. No cake or fruit.
The hotel was in the middle of nowhere so we couldn't even go to a pub for a decent meal.

Really lovely driver, helpful, informative and friendly. One of the best we’ve had

Coach driver was friendly and very helpful....coach not so good as the air conditioning kept breaking. Driver did his best to rectify this, even rang a mechanic. Excursions were fabulous especially The Edinburgh Tattoo which was outstanding.. Hotel was clean, comfy & basic with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent 👌 unfortunately though the evening meal was disappointing most evenings. Our Wednesday meal was brought forward to lunchtime due to going into Edinburgh for the Tattoo....... almost everyone either had a light breakfast or skipped it altogether due to an early evening meal...... what an absolute sham the meal was. Cheese & tomato sandwiches in white or brown bread, ham in white/brown or tuna which had more butter than tuna + a small sausage roll ..... very disappointed when we'd all paid for a 3 course evening meal. I would recommend the hotel but eat out if you possibly can ...... overall the excursions were fabulous.

Just a rubbish holiday
Food horrendous never saw any fresh veg or a potato over 4 nights
Sales either tuna or cheese and cheese run out on the last night 30mins into service
Itinerary very poor just dumped in places to get rid of the time
On a positive note Edinburgh Tattoo excellent.
No room service what so ever
No bath mat ,no hooks to hang wet towels on, no hand rail in shower.
Had to collect tea coffee etc on way to rooms

The driver needed to be more knowledgeable about route. Lovely chap but didn't organise the drop off and break at appropriate places. The abba experience was fantastic hotel great and lovely breakfast
