Our buyer was pre approved for a usda government loan. Through the 45 day process there was a credit issue but our buyer paid off the debt and they were told that the loan could proceed. The buyer’s agent tried to get in contact with Neighbors Bank numerous times for an update with no answer. The broker had to get involved and then were told the buyer did not meet the requirements for a USDA or FHA loan. Not only is this a waste of time for us selling our home but a waste of time and HOPE for this potential first time home buyer. Very disappointed in the lack of communication from this lender and the false hope.

A HUGE shout out to everyone at Neighbors Bank that help us get into our new home! Becca, Marissa, Tiffany, Cecil, Brooke, Lacey and Kaddie busted their butts to get their jobs done and us to closing a bit ahead of schedule! For that we appreciate and thank you all and anyone else we might have missed.

My Loan Officer, Melissa and my Loan Coordinator, Abbie. Were super helpful during the entire process. I could always get ahold of either of them if the occasional problem were to arise. Rarely did I have any issues, it was such a smooth and easy process!

I was stuck paying rent which meant I was paying someone else's mortgage.The thought of buying a home seemed out of reach but I contacted neighbors bank online and was paired with Melissa and Abby whom I couldn't have been happier to have on my team.
I'm a carpenter so computer stuff really isn't my friend but I had no need to be worried Melissa and Abby walked me through everything and never got frustrated with me instead they taught me how to obtain save and share the information needed for the process. From start to finish Jessica and the team met obstacles with solutions and helped us pivot when needed all while being communicative and personable. We weren't able to go our original route with them with USDA but that turned into them providing other solutions that ultimately met all of our needs and solved our concerns. I landed on them by chance when searching for a USDA lender and am so glad I did. There were times towards the end where it was a bit difficult to get in touch/playing phone tag and that can be expected. I think we needed to align more on the best mode of communication since there was two of us and two of them and it could get shuffled around a bit. I do want to shout out Jessica S. specifically though. She has been one of the best people I could work with in a long time. She was professional, personable, empathetic, and a go getter. I really appreciate her attention to detail and her creativeness in solving problems.

Our family worked with Holly Bernal on our new home purchase as we were in the process of selling our current home "For Sale By Owner." Holly not only did awesome on our new home purchase, but she answered questions I had on the sale of our home, since it was our first time selling by owner.
