I purchased a sofa from DFS with interest free finance, no cover underneath and my grandson became entangled in the recliner cables, I rejected the sofa but all Novuna and DFS are interested in is money. The call wait times say it all.

Ridiculous Interest.
This is a message we have sent today after an unsatisfactory response.
Agreement number 035097116
We emailed you on 13 July for a settlement figure and had no response until a reminder letter for our monthly payment. Why was that email not responded to? (See attached screen shot)
The settlement amount in March was £13000 and last week was just over £16100. Yesterday it had increased to over £16300! So that amounts to interest of nearly £1000 a month since march and £200 since last week.
Your email yesterday states support for financial difficulty which we don’t have. We are requesting a reasonable settlement figure that is not loaded with interest and charges for a letter.
Can this be escalated to a manager without standard replies that are irrelevant.

We have paid the full balance now. There is no point escalating this as you refused to negotiate a more realistic settlement figure. Regards to the email we sent on 13 July - you conveniently state this was a no reply email - usually an immediate response states this but again - conveniently, this did not happen.
We won’t be using you again because of the loaded interest weekly and monthly.

For clarity, where an agreement includes a deferral period, a settlement completed during that period will include no interest and this will differ from a settlement requested after the deferral period has ended and the full agreement term has commenced. Customers are notified before a deferral date so they are aware of when their agreement will move into its repayment phase and interest kicks in. Unfortunately we can't discuss agreement specific information which includes the circumstances of the charge being applied, so we are unable to comment on the individual figures referenced in your review. Stay clear off this company i had a problem with dfs and currently dealing with ombudsman regarding unfit for purposes goods it's shocking the way you put trust and your money into companies but recive no help when you are reaching out to them they don't care and pathetic and how low they go but I will make sure that I pay as I might be paying for a sofa that's nearly sitting on the floor to keep my good credit payment on time I've written it off in my head but I will not be buying from dfs and uesing this company again AVOID PLEASE
