Avoid ordering from OfficeChairsUSA

Placed the order on 2/11/2022. After a couple of weeks of not having shopping confirmation, I called customer service for an update. My order was never placed for shipping; as there was a question on the address it was being shipped to. A question that required an answer, but no one bothered to contact me to ask the question, and confirm the shipping address. I was told then, the order would be processed. I check back a few days later, and it was not processed, yet. A few days later, I do finally get an email the order was processed. Today is 3/15/2022- still no chair delivered, yet.

As you are likely aware your order did ship by FedEx on March 9th. In fact its out for delivery while we write this. So some good news for you.

Thank you for sharing these details for this is a bit of an ongoing issue at times with SitOnIt in terms of communication. We send them a vast amount of orders that get processed on time but here is an example of one that got bogged down. Again very sorry.

Sending you a partial refund to extend some goodwill and to attempt to have a happy closure here. Also would be anxious to know how you like your new Wit High Back chair should you care to weigh in and update your review.

Great customer service, great chair.

I purchased a HAG Capisco from Office Chairs USA. Overall I had a great experience with this purchase. My only negative remark is that my chair was supposed to be ‘fast ship 5-10 days’, but I quickly received a message saying that it wouldn’t be shipping for about two weeks. Ultimately, no biggie, I wasn’t in a rush and it arrived on the day they said it would be shipped out.
More importantly, I missed the President’s Day sale by a couple of days. I messaged customer service to see if I could get a price adjustment and David refunded me the discounted amount back to my account.
My chair came in perfect and the material I selected for it is great quality. Customer service was great. I received timely responses and was taken care of. I definitely recommend them.

Michael thank you for the kind review. We did see HAG lead times stretch out for the last 45-60 days and we apologize for the time delay. We brought this to the leadership at the plant and the COO, just yesterday, assured us that their production lead times on Express fabrics are now back to 5 Business Days. As you can imagine with the global supply chain constraints and hurdles this is not a easy task. Sorry that you got caught in its web!

Please let us know if you have any outstanding issues but it sounds like you are really pleased with your Capisco and again thanks for your review.

Good Company - FedEx Ordeal

---Initial Review 3/12/2022----
Pat, customer service rep for this company initially seemed genuine about his efforts to help me yet, I have reason to believe that he called the shipping company, FedEx and asked that my package be delayed as a form of punishment towards me when I told him I no longer wanted the chair and that I'd be returning it. He wanted to make my life a little bit more stressful than it already is. I wouldn't recommend this company for business as they employ shady business practices in efforts to get back at their customers who express disapproval or wish to return their products.

So contacted FedEx and personally went to their ground facility directly to investigate further. Apparently It seems that FedEx is notorious for it's unreliable expected delivery date and poor notification system. Thus this is not the part of Pat. Pat is a good man. I've edited my review to reflect my overall treatment by the OfficeChairs USA team. I've tacked off one star because of the hassle of FedEx but that's neither here nor there.

Good morning Nyan. I must be most frank with you and tell you that Patrick bends over backwards for all of his customers and he is 'the finest kind'. To imply, as a method to bolster your claims , that he would in fact call FedEx to delay the order? Well that's something that is very out of bounds and why in the world would we ever do something like that?

Patrick explained to me over the weekend that he worked extensively with you to try to get you to adapt to your Capisco. When it was decided that the chair was not for you, I was told that you balked deeply about the return costs? Pat even waived the handling and outbound fee as a courtesy.

Secondly, I take exception that you would use the term 'shady' and I think anyone that reads this review can read between the lines and understand that this is not the case at OffiecChairs USA.

The necessary steps to return a product is laid out clearly in our easy to find returns section of our terms and conditions. Maybe you did not take the time to review this? It's about the most lenient return policy of its type for furniture on the web. Our clients have up to 45 Days to send a product back to us should it not work out.

We wish you the best of luck Nyan in your future quest for a chair. When your return comes back to us, we will promptly process a 100% refund and absorb our handling and outbound costs to help you out. That's something a 'shady' company would never do.

Delivery was slow and slower than the estimates that I was given by phone. Update: The company's reply is appreciated. My phone exchange with one very helpful employee, Pat, sealed the deal. I had evaluated two alternative retailers and Office Chairs got my business as a consequence. No regrets.

Hi Mitchell. Yes, regrettably we are seeing some erratic production lead time swings being set off by various supply chain constraints and outages. In this case an outage was triggered by the HAG Capisco base in the color Black. Our orders for this frame color paused quite a few orders for about 10 days last month. We do our best to communicate these delays but are often held back due to the lack of timely communication from the factories. We truly appreciate your patience on this front.

Comfortable, requires assistance to put together

The chair is very comfortable. However, it is quite heavy and took two people to put it together. Easy set-up otherwise and received spare parts, which is nice. A tall person may wish for the arms to raise another few inches to slide above a work desk.

I love this chair

I love this chair! I think if I were to do it again, I’d upgrade the fabric, but it’s so hard finding a petite office chair, and this one is so versatile. I was ago so impressed with how quickly it shipped!

Poor communication/customer service

Poor communication/customer service

I received no updates on my original order for a month. I had to personally reach out and ask for the status of my order only to find out that it's already been shipped but again no tracking status or update email was sent until then.

When it arrived, it had damages to it and I had to ask for replacement parts. The first time I reached out regarding this issue, I was suddenly dropped from the chat with again, no email or communication confirming that replacement parts were ordered. I had to reach out again to see ask for replacement parts, then was told it was ordered.

Till this day, I still have no idea where the replacement parts are, what the status is because I have received no email or communication regarding it. I'll have to reach out again to ask for some kind of update.

Disappointed with the stool height and seat depth

Extremely disappointed with the fit. Seat doesn't go high enough for a standing desk (I ordered the stool height) and seat depth doesn't fit ( I'm a women's average size of 5' 5"). For the price and wait time, this chair should have fit perfectly. Quality of the chair is beautiful. Please consider making more inclusive office chairs.
