I was struggling to read some of my policy documents untill Samantha swooped in and saved the day. She explained everything clearly and professionally and helped me find and fully understand all of my policy details.

My son had insurance with this company for several years, but then cancelled it. A few months later, he received an email stating that he owed them an outstanding balance, and if he didn't pay, the policy would be cancelled. He contacted them to let them know the policy had been cancelled several months before, and said if there is an outstanding balance, he would pay it, just let him know how much, but there shouldn't be any outstanding balance. He has tried to contact them several times via telephone, email etc, but with no luck. He then received an email from their credit control, a lady called Michala, and he replied to this immediately. However, she still did not give him any information on any outstanding balance. She didn't reply to this email. She emailed again a few weeks later. Again, he replied and tried to call them, but he couldn't get through again. Credit control did not reply to any emails. The next thing he has a letter through his door from a Collections agency, saying he had an outstanding balance with Onesure Insurance. He immediately rang them, got through on the first telephone call, established the outstanding balance, and paid it.
Do not use Onesure Insurance unless you want a black mark on your clean credit report.

Update* After receiving my Subject Access Request (SAR), I now have clear proof that One Sure Insurance mis-sold my policy, misrepresented the cover, and then tried to cover it up.

The sales call recording clearly shows that:
• The broker explicitly said, “No fees at all on there,” yet I was later charged £150, disguised as a hidden underwriter fee.
• I asked directly if the policy included Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SDP) and whether I could drive personal and customer vehicles. The agent confirmed, “That’s right, yeah.”
• Internal documentation even lists SDP on the policy, yet the Certificate of Insurance contradicts this.

When I raised these points, they denied everything and falsely told the Financial Ombudsman that I had never requested SDP — something their own call proves is untrue.

They then cancelled my policy without my authorisation and withheld over £1,000 in so-called charges, including an inflated “time-on-cover” cost — despite my request for cancellation being based solely on mis-sale.

This has been escalated to both the Financial Ombudsman and the FCA. Even the underwriter, Clegg Gifford, has opened an investigation into One Sure’s conduct.

If you are considering using One Sure Insurance, I would strongly advise you to reconsider. Their sales tactics are misleading, their complaint handling is dismissive, and they will not hesitate to deny your rights — even when presented with proof.

I was mis-sold a policy that did not include the Social, Domestic & Pleasure cover I explicitly requested. When I asked for a full cancellation without fees on grounds of mis-selling, they cancelled it anyway and charged me over £1,000 in unjust fees without my consent.

Their handling has been malicious, dishonest, and borderline fraudulent. Despite repeated complaints, they refused to rectify the situation and have now tried to strong-arm me into paying unfair charges.

I’ve had to escalate this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and reported them to the FCA. I strongly advise anyone considering this insurer to look elsewhere — their customer service and ethics are shockingly poor.

I took out a motor trade policy via One Sure Insurance, underwritten by Tradex, after a 2 hour and 16 minute sales call in which I made it absolutely clear I would be cancelling my private vehicle policy and transferring my no claims bonus to this one. This was based on the understanding that Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SDP) cover was included.

Only weeks later did I discover that SDP was not included – despite clearly stating I would be using the vehicle personally and confirming my intention to cancel my private policy. I was then asked to pay an admin fee to “mirror” my no claims from that same cancelled policy just to get basic use back.

Worse still, I was told there were no admin fees during the call — yet the schedule shows a £150 setup fee which was never mentioned. They also tried to justify this after the fact by saying it was charged by the underwriter. That doesn’t change the fact it was not disclosed.

When I complained, I received a copy-paste response within 2 hours, claiming they had listened to all 2+ hours of the call in that time — which is clearly not possible. My follow-ups were met with dismissive, templated responses and no real investigation. A genuine Subject Access Request (SAR) was acknowledged, but again with no sense of urgency or responsibility.

The whole process has been incredibly frustrating and has left me wondering how many other customers are sold policies that don’t match their needs, then told “you said you didn’t want it” even when the recordings suggest otherwise.

I’ve now raised this with the Financial Ombudsman Service and would strongly urge others to avoid One Sure Insurance and Tradex. Their complaints handling is shocking, their transparency is poor, and their attitude once they’ve taken your money is dismissive at best.

One sure insurance sales team were excellent and provided us with a competitive quote at the start. Few weeks into policy they’ve decided to “change/update” the policy and cancel the “Mid service” they promised at the initial stage of taking the policy out. Very unreasonable and should have been clear from the start, tried speaking to them to come to an understanding with no luck. Thought why not cancel the policy and try elsewhere, but they include cancellation “commission fee” which is seperate to the under writer which is a substantial amount. “Tom” the cancellation advisor was very rude and unable to provide me with a solution other than a substantial figure to upgrade the policy.

As a start up car dealership I would not be using one sure again due to the incorrect advice they offer and hidden clauses that they may bring out at a later stage in the policy. Admin fees are very high and reading other reviews other customers have had similar issues.

Would advise one sure insurance to have clarity when selling motor trade policies and stop looking for ways to make as much as they can from their customers.

Terrible, dishonest, ask for new proofs every month just to try and catch you out as if you have a motor trade company open and motor trade insurance for a laugh, paying over £400 a month, and them lying on the phone , i asked for social use also and was never put on my policy, then 3 months in i was told i cant update the mid online when i have done for the past 3 months, just criminals who try to push you to cancel and take money with no claims, very sneaky people, they leave you on hold and make lies and stutter throughout conversations

She made it an absolute pleasure and I was actually smiling, both during and after speaking with her.

My requirements weren't straightforward / a bit of a pain. As I wanted 5 variations of my quote - with different drivers & vehicle types added and removed. - Nothing was too much trouble and she was excellent and so was the quote.

I had very specific issues with contents and liability insurance and was getting very frustrated with some providers. Then I spoke with Kerry at One Sure and she listened very carefully to what my concerns were. She spent time going through set questions with me and said she needed to talk with the underwriters. She later called me back as promised and had found me the insurance I needed. The whole process was easy and within 24 hours all the paperwork was dealt with. Because of Kerry’s professionalism, patience and understanding I would without any hesitation recommend One Sure and will absolutely continue to use them in the future.
