Update.

Never a issue with the food had plenty orders. Just like you say Rendalls it's the delivery side of things that are unfortunately out of your control once they leave your depot.

Unfortunately DPD decided to deliver my package to another address and leave outside front door. But house owner delivered it to my house. Package well wrapped and food will taste just as good as before.

ordered three packs of Pork ribs
worst sized Ribs in recorded history . Must have been from a Sparrow, first time ive used this company and the last shockingly bad items

placed my first order for christmas very pleased with the ready meals, found the steak bridies a little on the dry side. Delivery service was good.

Had several orders from Rendall's of which were good quality sirloin. So thought were get our christmas meat from them. Absolutely gutted honestly some of the worst meat I've seen. To make matters worse they have no intentions of rectifying certainly won't recommend these to anybody. Even the dogs not impressed 😕

Delivery did not arrive when contacted they said label had come off and they would re do the order for next day delivery when it arrived it was obviously the original order all ice packs melted all wrapping open lied when they said they were making a new order will never use rendalls again total disregard for customer service

We received our order last week but didn't want to leave a review until we had had time to try a fair amount of the products.

The meat is great quality and very tasty. It is good value for money. It makes all the difference to a meal when you are using a really good butchered meat.

The pies were also good quality. We particularly liked the Mac cheese scotch style pie. Although the scotch pie was great quality meat my husband said it could have done with a little seasoning. The steak and sausage pie has gone in the freezer for later but looks great.

You notice that this is only 4 star. The reason is the packaging. As much as the meat had loads of ice and was well chilled when it arrived the packaging did not survive the journey with DPD and unfortunately the cakes and bread were the victims. (Squashed to buggery sort of describes it). I think you need to think about stronger boxes and separate internal boxes for soft goods..

Overall we were very pleased and look forward to the next time we order later in the year.

Had Orkney rump steak with family.and peppercorn sauce.. best steak ever.and sauces the same.had things from the shop before.always fantastic.thanks to the best butchers.

Since 2022 I've made 7 orders (approx. £800 and ~95% of my meat consumption) and the experience has been spot on. Great website, great products, great prices, reliable postage and packing (my friend has been using the packaging to insulate his caravan haha). I've had trivial complaints, but not anything serious enough to contact them, or to bump my rating down to 4 stars. I live in a very rural area where meat at the local shops is painfully expensive, Rendalls have been a real blessing.

Ordered twice from Rendalls and on both occassions the delivery came on time and was well packaged. Steak pies, steak bridies, scotch pies, Lorne sausage and sausage rolls were all excellent. Customer service was also very good. Phoned to ask if they could change a delivery date from a Fri to a Sat and this was done with no issue or fuss. Would highly recommend.

Just done an order after recommandation from my brother and so far it has not disappointed, only tried the cheese dog and some sausages so far but both were so full of flavour, after an upbringing on scottish food I have sorely missed the quality

I came across this butcher on Facebook. I checked out the website and was surprised with the variety of foods available. We come from St Andrews but only really get to go back once or twice a year. My Husband and myself do enjoy a square sausage roll on a Sunday morning but the amount we buy just never seems to last. Brought my husband Empire Biscuits as well because you can't get them in England. From order to delivery was seamless, was emailed at every point and the order even came the day before it was meant to, which was fine with me.

As an Aberdonian living in Yorkshire thought I,d give thier Aberdeen Butteries a try. Rather disappointed to be honest. They really don't look or taste like a proper buttery. Don,t get me wrong there not really bad but not what I was expecting.
Now, thier Steak Pies & Steak Bridies.... a whole different story, they are to die for. Absolutely Excellent. Will definitely order again.

i just had my 1st order from rendalls online butcher it was fabulous i bought all my scottish foods that i love but cant get living in england everything tasted amazing and packaged perfectly thankyou very much.

I have just recieved a meat hamper sent as a presant from my sister in New Zealand and have to say how disgusted I am at the size of the meat joints inside.They were that small they could fit in my hand.I will be contacting my sister and telling her not to use this company again.Please be aware that the picture for the Early Bird Christmas pack is the largest pack and for some reason that is the only picture you can see.No pictures of the other two packs which are smaller amounts of meat.I wonder why that is.!!!!It clearly states that it is pack 3.No not until you get to the end then you find out it is pack 3.!!!!

I've ordared 3threee times now from this site, everytime they have been fantastic, May I say the tatties are amazing... My delivery came and I unwrapped it in my Gurden,
The tatties were fantastic and my pork loin together looked for nominal ...
I like to make stuw with ma beef pocket, stick my pork loin in the mix and dip ma tatties, always a good finish.
Would recommend to anyone who likes a good pork sword

Ordered 1lb steak & sausage pie, for small steak pies and 4 plain bread. Bread was fine and now salary ticked up in freezer but small steak pies were in packs of two which where somewhat crushed and on opening the big pie to stick in oven gravy had seaped out into its container. I don't know what kind of sausage was used but it had the look and texture of a smoked sausage and if in honest was not impressed with the amount of steak. Definitely would not feed 3-4 as stated. Was offered a refund small pies and they'd get them picked up but choose to keep them as can't be bothered with the hass and still waiting on a response to email about the big pie. Won't be using again.

I recieved an email straight after I posted this review and was given a refund for the big pie.

I eat a lot of different meat and game. I was slightly disappointed in the quality and taste given the price. The package arrived squashed and one bag had burst.

The products are absolutely gorgeous and good value. There was a slight mix up with an incorrect item sent, but the company responded almost instantly, and I received the right item promptly. They are prompt, polite and helpful, and I will definitely be ordering again.

I have had a few orders from them now all been excellent.Perfectly packaged and always had my delivery on time.Excellent quality and always have great offers.Will be ordering again soon.
