We had so much fun and were surprised by all the detail put into the planning. Made our lives easier and able to relax and have fun!

The trip exceeded our expectations. The staff was easily accessible even on a holiday weekend . The recommendations were great and the preplanned things we did were awesome. The trip was balanced not too fancy not to casual . We had experiences built in , good food and left with amazing memories and discussions on when to rebook for another !

We used Pack Up + Go for a surprise trip over the holidays, and overall we did have a great time. The hotel was beautiful, the food was excellent, and we were placed in a really fun city. The concept itself is exciting, and we genuinely enjoyed aspects of the trip.

That said, there were a few significant issues that kept this experience from fully meeting our expectations.

1. Lapse in communication
Because our trip took place over a holiday, we didn’t expect regular office availability—but we did expect proper communication channels to be in place between us and the reservations that were booked on our behalf. One scheduled trolley tour was rescheduled, but the vendor only had Pack Up + Go’s phone number, not ours. As a result, we walked six blocks in 10-degree weather while it was snowing, only to arrive and find out the tour had been pushed back three hours. We then had to walk all the way back to our hotel and repeat the trip later. This situation could have been easily avoided with direct contact information and was frustrating, especially given the weather.

2. Lack of personalization
The trip felt very generic. While we understand that it was Christmas time and some things were closed, there were still plenty of options available. Several restaurants we visited immediately recognized Pack Up + Go and mentioned having many reservations through them, which made it feel like a recycled itinerary rather than one curated for us.

This was especially disappointing because we specifically requested a snowy winter vacation with activities like tubing, skiing, or snowboarding. None of these were booked—or even suggested. The printed list of “additional things to do” didn’t include a single winter sport option, despite this being our one clear request. These activities were about an hour from our hotel, and we had already increased our driving limit from 6 to 12 hours, so it felt reasonable to assume we’d be willing to make that drive. Ultimately, our hotel concierge helped us arrange what we had originally asked for.

3. Value for cost
We don’t feel the trip justified the price. We paid $2,575 after a refund from the original $3,000. With only one paid activity booked per day (dinner reservations don’t count since they aren’t prepaid), averaging under $100 each, it’s hard to understand where the money went. Based on hotel pricing and activity costs, the total appears to come out closer to $2,000, leaving a significant portion as company compensation—without delivering the personalization or experiences we specifically requested.

Overall
Pack Up + Go has a fun concept and clearly partners with great hotels and restaurants, but our trip felt overpriced, under-personalized, and poorly communicated at key moments. With better communication systems and more thoughtful customization, this could be a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, for us, it felt generic and not worth the cost.
We are unsure if we’d take another trip. We may recommend the company but with serious consideration to be had first.

My girlfriends and I would hands down do this again! PU+G listened to everything we inputted in the online form, we called multiple times and spoke with someone who actually worked for the company and they were always cheerful and helpful - and at all hours of the day.

We loved not finding out until the airport and the activities they planned were perfect. While they made reservations for dinner most nights, we were only tied to one of them because of the gift card; and the restaurants they picked out were awesome.

If you can handle the element of surprise and allowing someone else to plan it - THIS IS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Hotel was wonderful and we were also given ‘Christmas at the Biltmore’ tickets which was exactly what I had hoped for! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at a recommended restaurant!

Pack Up & Go planned everything perfectly. They took our interests and hobbies and put it all into our trip. The waiting and suspense to see where we would be going was so much fun. This was one of the most fun experiences we’ve had and we will most definitely do it again and again and again!

The team made every step of our trip a delightful experience! From the 1st exciting steps of anticipation through every scheduled activity, dinner, and some added entertainment.

The customer service was probably the best ever and truly delivered a great experience…. My only issue was that we didn’t receive our package till 72 hours before our trip making me nervous because one of those days was a federal holiday/thanksgiving…. I thought our destination was to be sealed since we let the company pick our destination but I found out because that was the first paper in our package besides the 2nd which listed what to pack and weather…. All in all it was a wonderful experience despite the little mishap and such a late return flight when we had a 12pm hotel checkout…. But we will definitely recommend and be using pack up and go in the future!

My trip was fantastic!! From beginning to end I felt that Pack Up + Go was very intentional in the planning process and the communication of everything. It felt like everything they planned and scheduled was tailored to me specifically. I felt safe the entire time as well!

So much FUN!! They took everything into consideration from our survey. We would def do it again!!

The location was to do die for!!! The planned activities were great!

Now, the planned dinner spots….. everything was a “scene”! The food, 4 course meals. Over rated! Mind you the planned dinner spots are not already paid for! For the price that we paid, the entire trip including meals at the planned dinner spots should have been paid for! It’s was about $150 per person each restaurant!

We ended up having 2 full days of travel as we were booked on flights with a connection when flight should have easily been available as non-stop for our destination. Our entire trip was an itenerary that if we stuck to the prepaid activities we would not of got to explore and relax as we had hopped. We specifically asked not to have more than 1 planned excursion and there was 1-2 planned daily. We only truly liked one that we did attend, others were a bust and waste of money. The hotel we were booked at did not welcome us well. Room wasn’t ready for 2 hours after check-in time, shower in room didn’t work right, they didn’t tell us about all the amenities and hours, very disappointed. We asked for warm weather destination and it was freezing, not what we requested. The one compliment was that we Loved all the dinner reservation spots.

We had a great trip with pack up and go! Wonderful hotel, great activities and food. It was a great surprise and we’d do it again.

Such a fun weekend for me and my wife! They planned everything and it was perfect. Highly recommend and will use them again!

Nothing but Praise!!
A couple friends and I took our first Pack Up and Go trip and it was a massive success! The survey is thorough and I felt that our trip was curated so beautifully to the preferences we listed. They used our budget well and were readily available if we had any questions or concerns. Every aspect of this trip was so well executed, I would recommend this to everyone!!

Our annual Mom/Daughter was surprise trip this year that took us to New Orleans for a spooky great time! From the ease of our flight, to the fabulous hotel, the reservations for dinner & brunch to the reservations for the ghost & vampire walking tour to the list of endless other things to do, see & eat.
The Hotel Monteleon where our room was a suite on the 15th floor w/an amazing view of the Mississippi River! It had 1.5 bathrooms, which is wonderful for two gals traveling together!
We walked & walked (about 17.5 miles) — first stop was to walk by the river, beignets at Cafe du Monde with the best coffee! Then a look around St. Louis Catheral — there was are festival happening all weekend and we admired the art, bought some art, listened to great jazz & I even had a Tarot Card reading, which was amazing & fun! We took a mule & buggy ride around the French Quarter, and enjoyed Maya and her mule, Bourbon. Dinner was at Sylvain where the food was great but our server, Courtney was even better! Warm, friendly, made great recommendations & was just a pleasure to speak to. Halloween dawned with us all ready in our witch costumes. Breakfast at The Ruby Slipper, never disappoints! Beignets again, for lunch! Marie Laveau’s House of Voodoo, Beckham’s Book Shop w/a store cat named Joanie. A stop in Dark Matter Oddities & Artisan Collective where we bought rings made of copper & a crystal. We had reservations for our ghost & vampire tour, we met up at the VooDoo Lounge where Breon took us on an amazing walking tour of the French Quarter and talked about hauntings, ghosts & vampires — very interesting and gave us a lot to think about. We had room service, once again the hotel did not disappoint.
Saturday was a brunch reservation at The Court of Two Sisters. The courtyard was spectacular! What a wonderful setting for a meal. Sadly, the service was less than stellar & the food was decent, not great.
Both Uber drivers were friendly & great drivers.
Overall, a very, very successful trip and one we will remember for a very long time! BTW: this is trip #3 with Pack Up & Go.
