Excellent Customer Service

Usually I cannot be bothered to write reviews yet the customer support provided by Joshua from Paul Smith was exceptional.

I recently purchased a leather rucksack yet the zip had a fault and unfortunately prevented me from opening it.

Was advised to contact Paul Smith customer services when visiting the Nottingham branch and spoke with Joshua who was sympathetic and understanding.

Unfortunately the exact model of rucksack was out of stock yet an alternative was sourced and I am 100% satisfied with the replacement.

Joshua, thank you for your help and resolving my issue so quickly.

Compensated more than I had paid for.

I had a trouble with one of their product which I had bought from another online shop, and asked them if they had any tips for it. They didn't have that but they compensated more than I had paid so that I could deduct that amount when I buy another product from them. It was a win-win.

Very prompt response to my inquiry…as a result I ordered the size which is appropriate for me based on this advice.
The item arrives tomorrow and I am hoping it fits well.
If not, I am confident that is will be able to resolve the problem without drama.

Some of their stuff is nice. But never sign up for their newsletter, you can’t change preferences ever again. Not a customer focused company.

Excellent Customer service

I’ve had a really good experience with the customer service via email, especially with Joshua They were very patient, helpful, and paid attention to every request and detail. The communication was professional and friendly, and they made sure all my questions were answered. I truly appreciate their support and excellent service.

Exceptional service from Joshua!

Exceptional service from Joshua!! Leather strap snapped on my backpack, we exhausted all avenues to repair it as it was no longer available. Sadly we couldn’t so they allowed a replacement of my choice , Joshua went above and beyond any expectation I had. Love Paul Smith ❤️

Charged 6 months after returning the items — ridiculous experience

I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I returned the items as required, and the return was shown as completed at the time. However, around 6 months later, I was suddenly charged for the items because the brand claimed the return was not received.

What makes this even worse is that I was told the parcel was not scanned by DPD, which is completely outside of my control as a customer. If there was an issue with the courier scan or return tracking, this should have been investigated properly at the time — not used as a reason to charge me half a year later.

After such a long period, it is unreasonable to expect customers to still have return receipts or proof of postage, especially when the return appeared to have been processed successfully. I only have a screenshot showing the return status, but this should be enough for the company to investigate properly with the brand and courier instead of simply passing the cost onto the customer.

This process is unfair, poorly managed, and extremely frustrating. Customers should not be penalised because of poor return tracking between the company, the brand, and DPD.

Very disappointing service. I would not recommend using them unless their return and charging process becomes much more reliable and transparent.

Good customer service

My shoes developed a hole in the sole just six months after purchase. It was unexpected for both sides but customer service handled the issue promptly and arranged a replacement. Thank you.
